Hoid will stand and continue the inept offense on the immediately adjacent incapacitated target. Assuming advantage, hit rolls are 1+5 and 4+5. Not bothering with damage rolls.
The goblin leader sneers at Hoid as he stands. Craddock quickly barks at him in goblinish, “SNarl bArK BaaRk!” The leader uses Disengage and flees down the passageway.
Craddock looks back as he turns to flee, “You were lucky, THIS time dwarf. You will not be NEXT time.”
Craddock flees down the hall ahead of the goblin, keeping the goblin between you and him.
Erbert is up.
Combat is concluded unless you wish to pursue Craddock and the goblin. You can dispatch or tie up the sleeping goblins and giant rats as you like. Chadwick stabilizes with the attention of Kragen and Gneuman.
Erbert runs to the passageway that they disappeared down, shaking his little fist as they go, half forming a fire bolt in his hands, but they rapidly disappear out of view. He walks back over to the rest of the crew and puts his hands on his hips, chewing his lip. “You think that we are safe here, to take a rest? They know exactly where we are! Perhaps we should move to a different area…”. He pulls out his dagger and helps with dispatching some of the sleeping rats.
((Short rest here? Or move?))

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Erbert uses his arcane recovery ability to recover a spell slot during the short rest… He pulls out his journal and then his spell book and starts writing in his journal, taking notes about what has happened.

Gneuman misses with his attacks.
Chadwick’s condition deteriorates.

I will dispatch the rats. I see no point in keeping the goblins alive unless someone speaks goblin, but I will defer to the group.
We should take at least a short rest to recover. Then I would like to explore the adjacent passages.
And let the record show that if anyone chases after a goblin by themselves into the likely lair of said goblin again, they will not get my help.
Short rest won't reset lay on hands, so Chadwick is tapped for healing.
If you all want to take a Short Rest, then go ahead and apply your hit die of healing.
For these, you can take average, or roll in the game log your hit die, rerolling 1’s.
Does the roll include constitution modifier or just the die roll?
Yes. CON modifier is added.
2. The only possible roll worse than taking the average roll. Adding 2+3 to my pool.
😐
Why not just take average and max out?

Where we entered isn’t far away. But we need to decide the fate of the goblins.
Done
So, a short test. Chadwick takes average. Erbert is maxed. Trolkarl doesn’t need to use hit die.
If average also includes constitution bonus, sure.

Due to lack of input, I will dispatch the goblins.
Goblins and rats dead. You have taken a short rest and recovered hit points and spells.
