Ok, let’s crete maze this thing: Cyrus, with me following as far behind as I can while still sharing his senses will start in the southmost opening and then take every available right hand turn as it becomes available. (if the walls weren’t thorny the ‘algorithm’ would be keep your right hand always on the wall to the right. This way we can always unspool to get back to the entrance.)
what is the radius of the circle (squares are awfully small)? I’d prefer to stay outside until scouting is complete, but depending on geometry and size and tortuousity that may not be possible? I’ll only follow if I need to (i.e., if CM doesn’t see something interesting before we range out).
let’s send the monkey into the next entrance counterclockwise from the one he just exited. If party decides to follow we’ll still use CM as scout unless anyone objects.
The path opens up to another glade. It continues on through the thicket on the opposite side. In the center of the glade is a circular patch of bare dirt. Ringing this are white mushrooms with bright red caps. They stand 6-12” tall and are 4-8” in diameter each. They complete the perimeter of the undisturbed dirt.

Cyrus heads into the maze of thorns. You can remain in range outside of the thorns, or, follow him through the maze.

5’ squares
The maze continues and Cyrus comes to a clearing of sorts. 3
That path widens to a glade. In the center of the glade is a statue of a dryad with a necklace made of fresh flower blossoms.
Any other entrances/exits in the glade?
Starker asks companions their ideas as to how to proceed.
Maze walking algorithm, if no other exit/adit to glade, woild effectively have CM turn around and then head down path I have attempted to mark on map.
(Sorry for the mess. Iphone interface not helping with beauty)
The path exits the opposite side of glade.
Cyrus exits the glade and continues through the thicket to another entrance trail. You are in sight of each other again.
At this point should we just go as a group? I feel like if the dragon wanted to attack it would have by now.
I am in agreement with the algorithm. There are more arrows indicating passages to investigate.

Cyrus walks around the hedge with ou and enters at the next path. Once again, it branches into right and left paths.
Hand ‘on right hand wall’ principle applies.
