Starker:”The dagger is magical but only just so. It will allow me to injure creatures immune to EmFer’s Chastisement, so perhaps I will hold on to it in case I should find myself at close quarters with an enemy immne to mundane weapons. Unless one of you, more likely to find themselves in the thick of things, should be in need of it?”
Starker:”I propose asking the fishy foreseer one question about a specific goal, event, or activity to occur within 7 days, specifically, about our goal of finding Illiandal. What do you think of:
”O Oracle of the Aqualith Orb, we seek your guidance in fulfilling a task set us by Xagyx and the defeat of a dread being hight Illiandal. Where in this complex of tunnels and rooms should we search for the next important step in our path to Illiandal?”
”Any objections? I ask because I tire of the second guessing and wry, disappointed looks that usually follow a conference with the coy koi.”
I don’t need the dagger, and I have no suggestions for the fish. It doesn’t seem like a waste, but I’m not sure of a good question to ask.
Do you have an idea of how close we are to a city with a proper magic college? Considering the earlier point about the brewery being restocked after our last fiasco. I still think the trade-off for getting a bunch of comprehend language scrolls is worth considering if we’re not weeks away.
“I will need a day of rest to confer with Tyr on path forward.”
“I think it valuable to. Confer with the globe and investigate further each room for hidden doors.”
”another option which should elicit a response would be to desecrate the room with the altar. Maybe it would respond and reveal a clue we may be missing? It would also provide a chance to destroy of this evil place.”
Starker: “Consecrate? De-desecrate? Regardless of the verb you choose to pursue, I suggest you beware of the flame tendrils. Hold on a moment while I make my ichthyological inquiry and then I will observe your rite.”

”O Oracle of the Aqualith Orb, we seek your guidance in fulfilling a task set us by Xagyx and the defeat of a dread being hight Illiandil. Where in this complex of tunnels and rooms should we search for the next important step in our path to Illiandil?”
Chadwick looks over at Yartol and shrugs. "We've been through worse" He looks over at Starker starting his questioning of the fish, sits down and takes off his helmet. He then pulls out some parchment and a quill and starts writing.
"Let me know when y'all want to continue to explore and kick in doors, I'm going to make a few notes."
I agree. No problem with Chadwick’s idea for a short rest if we need a quick recovery for something. But a full rest in the tomb seems to invite an ambush. I would take the trip back town town before that. But in the fish we trust… maybe
The fish turns to look at Starker as he asks the question. It then swims around the bottom of the the orb, then rises a bit and swims about, then rises a bit and swims about and then rises a bit and looks at you. It then looks about and begins to swim around the orb in a less purposeful fashion.
(( Short Rest achieved. Yartol does spend time looking about this room and the mausoleum area and finds no other secret doors. ))
Starker:”It seems our next important step on the path to Illiandil does not start in this room and is three upward vertical excursions, each separated by a horizontal excursion. We would need to look for stairs, holes in ceilings, or up the sides of the mountain outside.
”Colleague Kragen, I am ready to accompany you and observe as you cleanse the infernal chapel if that is still your intention.”
<did we try to unstop the flask we found on ‘Illiandel’? Perhaps there is something true inside we could use to open the silver box?>
“I would be happy to have the assistance when deconsecrating that unholy temple. However, it seems the Fish has given us a valuable clue if we can find the means to gain altitude.”
”if we had no other routes forward, that is an alternative we can explore to see if it garners any response. It can wait as long as we have good leads forward. Let’s press on as the Fish has suggested.”
”I can and will check the ceilings for hidden passages however I think that unlikely as most of those alive, would need more normal mode of ascension.”
Kragen moves to a wall and begins to walk up it to the ceiling.
"Perhaps the magic fish meant for us to go down not up?" He looks over at Yortel. "Still seems weird for me to say out loud, but do you get used to some of the craziness.
Kragen I will happily assist in purifying this foul place."
Chadwick will check the ssarcophaguses again and see if perhaps there are any secret tunnels/passages hidden in them.
Starker:”I took advantage of our short break to remind myself of the details of the Knock spell and to reconstitute my ability to summon the construct. I doubt we could circumvent the enchantment holding it closed with so simple a transmutation spell as Knock, but I would be willing to try.”

I like it.

It would be weeks to get there, research to find what you want and then return.
/plans?
Yartol speaks up, “I’m for continuing to move forward, if we know how or leaving. Making camp here seems foolish.”
Starker: “Consecrate? De-desecrate? Regardless of the verb you choose to pursue, I suggest you beware of the flame tendrils. Hold on a moment while I make my ichthyological inquiry and then I will observe your rite.”

Without looking up "Yep, just a bit of a breather while we collect our thoughts.
Yartol, there's probably another secret door around here we still haven't found. If your antsy you could always poke around for one."
He then goes back to writing.

Kragen moves to a wall and begins to walk up it to the ceiling.
Kragen investigates the ceiling in the tomb and mausoleum. No secret doors found.
Xymox steps forward, adjusts his lute strap, and addresses the group with a mischievous grin:
No secret doors are found on the ceiling
Short rest taken, 12hp healed, was down 5.

Chadwick heals 11HP.
He finds no secret doors or passages.
