Yartol follows you out of the room keeping a watchful eye around him. He crunches the pile of dried sticks and vines that remain from the creature with his boot as he passes it. “I hate those things,” you hear him mutter.
The air in the room is no longer so frigid now that the creature is destroyed.
Starker:”Here you are, Colleague. Other than the glow, it seems to be unremarkable.
Yartol, have you encountered such creatures before instilling youbwith this hatred? What can you tell us of them? In particular, are they solitary or do they grow in packs?”
“They are usually manifest deep inside a forest touched by the Shadowfell. Glenshade Revenant is what I was taught to call them. They feed on your loss and pain,” he pauses to look away. “I hear her voice in the creature’s howling,” he adds quietly.
He is silent a bit and the suddenly turns to face Starker, “You did well using fire against it. The bitter cold aura around them sometimes chokes people, making spell casting difficult. Also, enchanted weapons are more effective”

assuming Starker hands it to Kragen. “Thank you.”
moves the goggles to his forehead and examines the seed.
It is a glassy, black seed-like thing the size of a walnut. It faintly pulse red-orange from within.
