If Freya disengages can Chadwick use an action for Lay on Hands?
Also if Freya moves without disengage does she provoke the AoO, both, or dealers choice who to attack?
Edit - Ok from my reading Freya or Chadwick can go first as player choice, but must complete their actions before the other. So for example last turn Freya could have moved, then Chadwick could have used Divine Sense.
Assuming this is how we will play it.
Freya will act first, disengage, then move down near Kragen.
Chadwick on his turn will cast hold person (save Wis 14) on the Ettin, then ask Kragen very nicely to pretty please heal him.
If the Ettin saves, would Chadwick be able to then use a BA to cast another spell concentration spell?
To clarify since Freya is intelligent and they have a telepathic link can Chadwick suggest actions without using his actions to direct her while mounted or dismounted?
For this round Chadwick will use BA to cast Vow of Enmity on the Ettin, then attack. After the attack Freya will disengage and move to the spot on the map.
First attack: Nat 20 - 18 lance damage. Then casts smite as a second level spell for 18, which doubles to 36. So 54 damage for first attack.
The great axe wielding orc bellows a War Cry and moves, and BA moves, to close in on Hoid. Two attacks with the great axe; To hit = 17 for 19 slashing damage, and to hit =11, miss.
The ettin answers the War Cry with one of its own. It charges out of the treeline to flank Hoid attacking with its great axe and great club. Great axe to hit = 15, 11, missing. Great club to hit = 15, 26 for 10 points of bludgeoning damage.
(Dodge provides advantage for save against fireball? I did not know that!)
If you can see your attacker, it provides Advantage on DEX saving throws.

If you and Freya disengage (you are one unit while mounted) you will not provoke an AoO.
The Disengage is your action. You can use a move action as well.
If an AoO were to occur, it is the attackers option which of you to target unless you have certain Feats that modify that.
Found a tweet from Jeremy Crawford on the topic.

Okay. Then it is Freya's action to Disengage
Move Freya and Chadwick to where you want to be.
You cannot cast two "leveled" spells in the same round. You can cast a Cantrip and a "leveled" spell in the same round if the actions are available.
Also, to save the upsettedness, the ettin is a Large Giant. It is not a Humanoid. It requires the Hold Monster spell to hold it.
As for the actions available for a mount and rider:

Chadwick skewers the eatin good in the gizzard. It was a mighty blow, but the ettin continues to attack.
Move Chadwick to his new location.
Can Hoid get to the ettin from his present location without dash? Not sure where/if difficult terrain begins.
I already moved Freya/Chadwick (by Kragen giving him sad doe eyes hoping for a heal).
Nope. Still in same place by the ettin.
WTF?!
Ok, moved again. Closed tab and opened link again to verify the move stuck.

Kragen is up
Did those attacks get damage reduced by 3?
Not yet…
