The Company spends the morning making inquiries at the temple of Moradin and leaves notice where they can be reached. When someone is available to discuss the destruction of magic items with you contact will be made there. A strongbox has been obtained with several sets of nesting lead sheets to line the box. Chadwick inquires about barding for Freys and learns it can be made, but will require several days to fit it appropriately for her. The morning has been used with your activities. It is now early afternoon.
"Let's spend the night and see if the lead box helps. If it does we can get in an early start and continue on. If not I think we are going to need to wait to get them destroyed, or at least transfer the items to the temple for safe keeping.
I hate to delay, but if this exhaustion continues I'm not sure how much good we'll be able to do. I'm open to ideas, I really want to get there as quick as possible."
Kragen awakens by the commotion, grabs his essentials, The Judge, and his Shield (he is in his birthday suit otherwise). Upon recognizing Its Starkers room, is now pissed that He and his companions allowed the only individual with insatiable curiosity and no restraint to keep the most dangerous item The Company has!!
Heads quickly to see if the idiot… don’t judge, Starker has been turned inside out!
From within his room, you hear Starkers panicked voice "Company! To me..." The rest is a bit shriek-y and hard to understand.
Chadwick, needing no further invitation, busts the door in. It is shattered. Inside you see Cyrus jumping up and down shrieking, Starker is enveloped in his Mage Armor spell and now pulling out material components that look very much like those for Fireball. Tyr help anyone in that small room when that erupts.....
The new strongbox sits on a small table in the room. The upper body of a humanoid is coalescing from smoke and shadow above it. Two faint, burning pinpoints of red can be seen where eyes should be.
To the coalescing form:”We are more powerful and we are prepared. Make one hostile move and we will destroy you such that you will never recover, never return.
The disembodied upper half of a humanoid continues to coalesce, and, melt away in wisps of smoke. The pinpoint red dots for eyes remain the same. It hovers over the box.
I’m can’t run, especially when my friends need help. However, Starker is the smartest man I know, and he wouldn’t tell me to flee unless there were good reasons. Perhaps they’re more threatened by my presence. damn Kyton!
As you wish Starker!
Glancing to Xymox
Clear the innocents from the inn! There’s a good chance we’re fighting a demon or the inn will burn down—most likely both!
Trolkarl steps back slowly and carefully moves around the rest of the Company and rushes down out to the streets He will caution anyone one the street to move away from the inn
On his way out, Trolkarl finds Xymox on his way back in. The streets are quiet. The only commotion is that from Starker’s room.
Other guests are roused now and begin to yell curses at The Company for waking them up in the middle of the night. A few have weapons.
The figure forming over the box retains a form of the upper half of a humanoid. The “eyes” are pinpoints of red fire and malevolent. It seems to wax and wane in its appearance. The edges are continuously forming and dissolving. It gives no response.

”Kragen, Chadwick, Hoid: I was woken up by Cyrus’ antics and saw this. As far as I know, I had nothing to do with this phenomenon’s occurrence. Perhaps we should remove the box from the hotel and even the town before we act? Or I can start offensive operations, but I fear we might not be able to afford the fines and the rebuilding costs.”
"Starker I'll throw you out the blasted window if you think I'll let you cast fireball in the middle of a crowed inn! Let Kragen and I handle this, fiends are our specialty.
He smacks the spell components out of Starker's hands (not sure what kind of roll is needed).
"You, short and wispy. Why are you disturbing our sleep?" He pokes at the demon with his sword for emphasis.

Barding is not an "off the shelf" item anywhere. It must be custom fit to the horse. Minimum of several days to acquire it.

The night is spent in Mirabar. A commotion is heard in Starker's room in the middle of the night.
Grabbing his longsword Chadwick makes his way into Starker's room.
Trolkarl will grab Darkbane and his shield and rush to Starker's room.
Seeing the rest of the party rush to Starker's room, Xymox will head to the common rooms and outside, to look for anything / anyone suspicious.

If Xymox doesn't see anything a miss outside the inn, or if he continues to hear commotion from starker's room he will head there immediately.

On his way out, Trolkarl finds Xymox on his way back in. The streets are quiet. The only commotion is that from Starker’s room.

Starker:
“3”
Nothing seems to be changing. The humanoid is not becoming more distinct, nor dissipating. It gives no response.
Following directions from Trolkarl, Xymox will raise alarm to anyone in the inn that he can find, working to user them out of the building. (12 persuasion)
Starker, puzzled:
”2 and a half”
