((OOC - Not sure Zeds would notice mid-combat what with not expecting any spell casting from the outside or such... I'm going to say it's like 50/50. So odds Zeds doesn't notice and just attacks like normal. Evens Zeds notices the thief is magically frozen...))
Zeds notices the thief freeze up and be unable to move. A smile creeps across his face. He leans in closely to the thief / extortionist and whispers "You could have just respected another in the trade..." the then attempts to slice one blade across the thief's neck and use the other to stab him in the gut.
Shortsword Attack: 1 or 19 for 27 to hit, Crit Damage of 9... Bonus Action Attack: 11to hit, if it does then Crit Damage of 15... Sneak Attack Damage if either of those hit (Also Crit): 13
Ixsas does not notice the fight and he is perhaps distracted the by the unloading process.
Since Krackle is small and Zeds went to check out the stranger he saw on the roof, the unloading falls to Ixsas and Serge. Ixsas is not nearly as strong as the knight, but he does his best to help with the unloading. Since Ixsas is used to the warmer climate in the south, he's at least happy to work up a bit of a sweat after the hours of marching along the cold road.
Ixsas is careful to keep his headscarf on and securely fastened once they arrive at Carnath House. In his experience since leaving the temple, if strangers see his face before they get to know him, they either distrust him because of his Yuan-Ti heritage, or they think that he has some sort of skin disease and shun him.
Serge continues to unload crates and barrels while trying not to look like he's ready to come out of his skin and rain vengeance down upon as-yet-unidentified foes.
Ixsas notes Serge's agitation, but he's not sure whether he knows the man well enough to guess the cause. Sometimes, he talks over his ideas and observations with Krackle since the kobold generally seems like a friendly, non-judgmental listener. Ixsas looks around curiously at the hubbub around the wagons and oxen. He wonders aloud to Serge, "Where did Krackle get to? We didn't lose the little fellow, too, did we?"
ooc: Krackle is still standing close by near Ixsas and Serge (Although I could be hidden by some crates). I am just trying to help zeds without drawing attention to zeds and the figtaking place.

((OOC: I assumed that Serge and Ixsas are back and forth between the wagons and the inside of the warehouse while Krackle was staying in the courtyard by the wagons to keep Zeds in view. So nearby but perhaps not always in Ixsas's view. Otherwise, Serge and Ixsas would know that something was up as soon as Krackle starts casting a spell.))
Ooc: He is trying to be discrete and whisperingnhis words but anyone looking at him that is familiar with Casting spells would probably know what he is doing lol
Zeds continues trying to kill the thief - The best defense is a good preemptive murdering.

The thief dies with a wet gurgle. His lifeless body slides off of the roof.
The guard that noticed the fight hands over some coins to a 2nd guard as it seems they were betting on who would win. The guard who lost looks defeated as he moves to the body and starts dragging it away to be unceremoniously buried somewhere beyond the palisade.
There are several onlookers and with some of the merchants with horrified looks. They look to be new to the trade as the veteran merchants take it in stride and go about their business.
Seeing / hearing the body fall off the roof, Ixsas finally realizes what Zeds was up to. He's relieved to see that the body isn't Zeds!
As Ixsas finishes unloading the wagons with Serge, he asks Serge and Krackle, "Should we just head inside with the rest of the merchants and meet up with Zeds?" Then he drops his voice and whispers, "Or...while we're out here, look around the warehouse for the cult's shipment?" He's not really sure what they'd be looking for. If the cult isn't shipping dragon eggs but just looted goods, then it might be hard to distinguish from a regular merchant's shipment.
FYI - On the march toward Carnath House earlier in the day, Ixsas would have explained to the others that he's still worried about Toren and about running into the red-robed wizard again. But he has also prepared some spells that may help them find the Dragon Cult and their shipment if it's at Carnath House:
Zeds is a bit put out. He had been hoping to search the body himself but he certainly wasn't going to argue the fact with the guards. They seemed satisfied enough with the results so he wasn't going to push the issue.
Clambering down off the building, Zeds originally intended to get lost behind buildings and such and perhaps change his appearance a bit before meeting up with the others again so as not to draw any ill-attention to them. But seeing just how indifferent the guards in fact are, and the horrified looks of the merchants, Zeds thinks perhaps marking his territory is perhaps the best course of action. "Insisted on protection money," he says indifferently to one merchant as he passes him. "Nobody steals from me or mine," he mutters as he passes another.
When he gets back to the others he suggests that they put a guard on their goods. Stored here or not they are apparently still a target so obviously the local guards are insufficient. "We could probably have one of us and one of the caravaners around at all times," Zeds suggests. "The normie could be instructed to run and fetch the rest of us if there is any trouble... We don't want them doing any actual fighting."
While finishing putting the cargo away, Zeds looks to Krackle. "Thanks," he says with a wink. "I think I would have had him but... easier is easier, eh?"
"Good job Zeds." Krackle says with a small sigh or relief. "I tried to help.... not that you needed it." He adds with a smile. "We need to get more feed for Jr... and probably need to purchase some food for the villagers we brought with us since I don't know that they have much coin to buy any themselves." The kobolds pulls out a coin pouch and carefully peeks inside... trying to determine how much of his treasure he is willing to part with.
All the wagons and carriages will be parked outside. Does Krackle leave Krackle Jr. Outside or do you try to put him in the stable with the horses, mules, and oxen?
Round 5
