Everyone gets 15 silver and 11 copper as Zeds quickly distributes the coin. He'll also take a quick look at the playing cards, scooping them up if they're of any quality at all.
"Might be best if we cash in our luck and back out now," Zeds says with no real determination to leave. "Likely we'll face the same or worse if we keep going."
Moving into the next room Zeds looks around cautiously... Perception: Nat 1 for 2 total
"I don't want to leave until we see what is going on here..." krackle would say as he inspects the rug. he would then attempt to roll up the rug to see if there is any kind of trap door underneath. "If there are dragon eggs here.. we need to try to capture or destroy them. we cannot risk there being MORE dragons like the one that attacked the town."
Stirling sheaths his dagger after cleaning it off.
"I vote we press on we came with a task in mind and I say we see it though. Plus the deeper we go I think there will be less rank and file we did just wipe out a good chunk of the guard I'm guessing."
Stirling falls in line to search.
Perception 6.
He is way to on edge to do more then a passive look about.
Krackle sees a chute. As to where it leads you do not know, but it is big enough for medium sized creatures. It is 3ft wide and it drops down pretty far though you cannot see the other end of the chute since it was carved at an angle.
Perhaps it is some king of emergency escape route.
"Could be suicide to slide down there," Zeds points out. "Perhaps we leave that be for now and only use it in an emergency or once we've seen to everything else?"
"I'm not going down there unless you want to tie a rope around my waist and lower me down... could be something good down there.. or just deadly spikes..." Krackle would reply as he looked down the hole.
"We can't retreat till we accomplish our mission. We were sent he on Devine Providence to right the wrong these people did to the village. If that's not motivation enough. If we retreat and return they are likely to move..... The treasure"
"What if it isnt an escape tunnel.. what if it is secret tunnel that takes us to treasure?" krackle asks while they complete their short rest. "I'll check out the tunnel if someone ties a rope to me. Otherwise we can head back the way we came. (Towards room 3)
Stirling will ask resistance on Krackel right before he goes down.
"Just in case you encounter something"
Resistance
You touch one willing creature. Once before the spell ends, the target can roll a d4 and add the number rolled to one saving throw of its choice. It can roll the die before or after making the saving throw. The spell then ends.

“Would they refill these post when we got back? We should at least ravage the place, makes it unlivable for sometime.”
He thinks for a second.
“I only need one hour of rest, then we can strike deeper. I can deal with one more fight.”

Krackle sees a slight depression in the brown rug. A subtle sag of the rug. Something is underneath the rug.
The party can have a short rest here in the barracks if they wish to.
Krackle tugs and pulls on the rug to see what is underneath

Anyone can jump in and slide down if they wish to do so.
Ironthar patches up his wounds as the other look around the place.
8+5+6 (Back to full HP, should have spend 1 less dice, could I cancel the second die roll? I only needed the first one)
(Short rest taken, one hit die expended.)

Sure Ironthar can save one of his hit die.

Now rested where does the party go next?

“Does the chute has ladder attached to it? If not we need rope to go down there.” He says to Krackle.
“I say we climb down, they covered it with a rug for a reason.”
"Normally I'm against shoving small ones down chutes but if you're volunteering..." Zeds says as he halfheartedly goes for his rope.
Stirling will ask resistance on Krackel right before he goes down.

There is no ladder down the chute and does someone hold onto the rope as Krackle is lowered or do you tie the rope onto the table or bunkbeds?
