Zendasa thinks about it and seems convinced. "Alright in hopes for returning business I can sell the health potion to you for 40gp gp. Now don't tell anyone else I gave you this discount. Its already cutting into my profits." Then she looks to Nisha "How many health potions do you need"
Clearly content with the deal, Nisha flashes a sly grin at Nathaniel before placing a stack of coins on the counter. "One, thank you," she tells Zendasa with a hint of satisfaction. "Pleasure doing business with you." The rogue then shoots a conspiratorial smile to the tiefling.

There is a hint of a smile as Laine is handed back a portion of the money. Unlike the sly grin of Nisha, the satisfaction of a deal transpired, it is a flicker of something genuine from the enigmatic wizard."Thank you, Zendasa."He then puts the potion in a pouch at his belt. There is another faint squeak as his cloak rustles.
Gavyn follows along silently, having picked up a potion of healing the night before at full price. He should have thought about everyone else needing one as well and mentally kicks himself for his oversight. While the others procure a better deal on their potions, he examines his magical needle, inscribed with runes. He will need an hour to work its magic. He quietly pockets the needle until it is clear he has time to attune to it.
"Do not worry Zendasa, we'll be sure to keep this discount to ourselves, we wouldn't want to ruin your lovely business here." The pale winged tiefling says and gets up from his finished plate. "Thanks again for those delicious pancakes. And two vials of aloe vera essential oil then."He adds, coming up to the counter and placing a piece of gold on it for the oil and the second, or is it third, breakfast. As the others finish up their purchases Nathaniel holds the door for them all, then flashing Zendasa a charming smile before closing it behind him.
"It's a pleasure watching you doing business Ms. Nasha, sometimes I wish I would be as careful with my coins as you clearly are. Alas it seems to be in my nature to spend what I have as quick as I earn it, fortunately it at least buys me the essentials of life." He says to the mysterious half-elf as the team is outside on the street again, glancing down at the two essential vials in his hand before pocketing them with a pleased smile.
"So, the assassin's guild next then?" He asks the others in the team, ready to go there now.
Unlike Gavyn's, Nisha's mood visibly brightens after securing a good deal on the healing potions. The successful bargain coupled with having a clear purpose have lifted her spirits, and as she puts away her newly acquired healing potion, she doesn't seem to at first notice the sound coming from within Laine's clothes. After a moment, her mind must have registered something, because she does eventually look up and ask him "Did you say something?"
Turning her focus to Nathaniel, Nisha responds with a dramatic sigh accompanied by a subtle shrug. "It is a blessing, and a curse," the half-elf replies, the corners of her lips curling upward into a mysterious smile. The way gold motivates her, you'd think there was some dragon somewhere in her lineage.

"A curse, how intriguing..." The pale winged tiefling says with a curious smile. "....and much more interesting than a blessing if I may say so. Now tell me more and I'll promise I will help you lift it, if that is what you want."
"Hmm?" Nisha raises a delicate eyebrow, a hint of amusement in her expression. "Why, are you looking for a damsel in distress to save or something?" She teases the ever so curious tiefling in return, expertly dodging the question and turning the focus on him instead.

"Oh no, I'm just explaining what I'm prepared to do if you would satisfy my curiosity..."The pale tiefling says with an amused smile. "...besides, you don't seem to be a damsel in distress in any sense of the expression. On the contrary Ms. Nasha, you would be the one to save others in distress as far as I can see." He continues, glancing over at the half-elf. "Assuming that the price is right of course."He finishes with a wink.
Nisha regards Nathaniel for a moment with a mix of curiosity and wariness. The witty tiefling is just as slippery as she is, if not even more so, which is a bit worrying. Perhaps it should not come as such a surprise, considering their shared inclination for... questionable business affairs; after all it does takes certain personality to indulge in dubious dealings. "Ah, you flatter me, Mr. Nathaniel," she replies with a coy smile. "Though, I must admit, your curiosity seems insatiable. I wonder, would satisfying it be within my budget?" the half-elf muses, casting the tiefling a sidelong glance, before returning her gaze to the road ahead.

"Ah, yes, insatiable...that's a word I've heard before..."The pale tiefling says glancing over at the enigmatic half-elf again while walking beside her, his eyes moving over her briefly. "...speaking of which, I know the perfect buffet lunch restaurant for after we've had a looksie at that assassins guild house." Nathaniel declares with a polite smile. "Now regarding whether I would be satisfied or not, that would rather depend on that budget, but from what I've learned so far I would say you have a solid equity ratio in the intriguing secrets department. I guess we will simply have to find out."
Maintaining her gaze straight ahead, Nisha suppresses a smirk, withholding any further engagement with the tiefling. Instead, she redirects her focus, calling out to Laine in a deliberate effort to pivot the conversation. "Speaking of the assassins guild... Laine, how long until we reach the address on that card?"

The clang of hammering can be heard everywhere as the night of celebration is transformed to an industrious day of work. After 30 minutes of walking and checking the address, the party stands before a decrepit 2 story building made of soot-stained brick and stone. The large front door is down a flight of steps, and it has seen better days as the hinges are rusted and the wood is splintered.
There are no windows that you can see. In faded lettering above the door you can just make out the word Mawthorn something as the rest has peeled and flaked off long ago.
Laine stops, double checks the card, and then sticks it back in his pocket. "This is the place." He takes a moment, muttering a few arcane words. His eyes flash a brighter purple for a moment, then magic settles over his form and then out of sight. ---------------- Casting: Mage Armor
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Let me just make a sweep of the exterior before we enter." The pale tiefling says, his bloodred bat-like wings carrying him aloft with a few powerful beats, swiftly bringing him around and over the old guild house, looking for any other possible entrances or other peculiarities.
Nathaniel flies around the building and there is not a single window that could be found. That is odd. There is a sizable chimney on the eastern side of the building. A person can squeeze down if they wish to.
If anyone tries the door it does not budge though there is a lock
"Unless we want to go down the chimney this would be the way inside."The pale tiefling explains, motioning to the door as he lands by the others, his bloodred wings folding on his back.
"I think this is a task for you Ms. Nasha, but I'll be happy to assist."He says to the half-elf, motioning to the lock, ready with his own tools.
