Arms still whirling, maintaining the wall of water, Kulogall looks at Mina and shakes his head, like he is addled. “What are you talking about? You’re talking crazy talk, you musta had one too many! C’mon, get back out there, protect this poor little girl, don’t you guys see???” Kulogall is flummoxed, but where his push and the action of his triceps failed before, he calls upon magic to help him now. He points at the center of Mina’s chest and creates a gust of air, hoping to push her back, push her through the wall of water, back to where the real threats lie!

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
(Plant dog 2 is currently between Leeta and Rowarin. The other three are between Rixian, Rowarin and the wall.)
Leetawill attack the plant dog next to her until she finishes it. That way she'll be free to cross the Wall of water and try to help Mina, who is trying hard to bring Kulogallback to the party's side. The stubborn triton doesn't seem to be listening to the sea elf, so the mini monk runs up to them and says:
- Sorry to interrupt, but we really need this stubborn man on our side. Let me help, Mina! - then the halfling turns her gaze to the triton and says - Sorry, friend, but if you don't listen we'll have to do this the painful way! - and she tries to uppercut him.
Round 4.
Action: Leeta suddenly remembers that she's a Level 5 monk with Extra attack ... /facepalm ... So Punch #1 to Hit: 15. Damage: 10. If this is enough to end plant dog 2, the next hit will be directed to Kulogall(who I hope she can reach with her 35 feet of movement). Punch #2 to Hit: 18. Damage: 8.
Bonus action:
In case I hit Kulogalland he doesn't snap out of it - or if I had to use the full Attack action on plant dog 2 -, I'll spend a Ki point to Flurry of Blows this magic out of him! Punch #3 To hit: 12 / Punch #4 To Hit 10. OUCH. Maybe we are failing at slapping Kulogall because he belongs to a water race and his face is slippery? :'D
If the Furry of Blows ends up being unnecessary, she does nothing with her BA.

Mizu blinks... well, he at least helped take out one plant dog... but it seems he's going to have to take care of the wall himself. He lets out a small sigh when Rixian attacks a different plant dog instead of taking his previous suggestion. Oh well, Mizu isn't in charge anyways... he just thought the fire would be more effective than what he's about to do.
Rushing towards the wall (and ironically, back close to Rixian) he proceeds to deliver two slashes to the wall of vines--the first of which is aimed at the bulge that's preparing to birth another abomination.

Leeta pummels plant dog 2 who had just attacked her, swiftly ending it's short life. (Though this uses both attacks so you're bonus action will be the only strike at Kullogal unfortunately) The mini monk then dashes into the wall of water, swimming through to launch out the other side and attempt to assist Mina in slapping Kullogal.
Meanwhile, Mizu ignores the dog attacking him in order to swipe at plant dog 2's unborn replacement. The genasi's swords fail to break through the thorny vines, but do succeed in loosing a through thorns which rain down on the fighter's head. (Take 4 piercing damage :D) Angry, Mizu then slashes again, cutting a good chunk out of the new plant dog before it hits the ground. Continuing to ignore the two enemies near him, Mizu then splashes the wall with acid. (Wall auto fails obviously) The acid eats a small hole through the vines, though it quickly starts to regenerate.
Mizu grits his teeth, sucking in a ragged breath as the enemies behind him pummel him until he's bloodied. All this for what? A hole in the wall that's slowly regenerating? He looks at Rixian and then Rowaran, who also has made use of flames. "I need... fire." He coughs, "Burn down this blasted wall!"
Con save: 19
The water warrior is not looking very good at this point. Blood is poring from the wounds on his back and thorns riddle his blue, bloodstained hair.
These blasted things keep coming!Rowarin has but a moment to recompense before being lunged at by another plant dog - which he manages to hold back with the length of the stave, avoiding damage. This is getting out of hand quickly and there is only so much that can be done before someone miscalculates and gets seriously hurt.
A quick scan of the current situation and Rowarin can see Mizu is in pretty bad shape. "Hold fast Mizu, I shall lend you my strength."
Rowarin attempts to weave around the plant dog in front of him, positioning himself within range of Mizu (if this forces an opportunity attack, so be it) - reaching out he grabs the water warrior and says "Ahhh it is but a flesh wound. See - all better." and casts Cure Wounds

All plant dogs within range take another 3 radiant damage.
Leeta’s blow lands right in the abdomen of Kulogall as he’s focusing on the wall of water and he looks toward her, saying “Ooof!” His greenish blue eyes focus on her for a second and he says “Why are you hitting me? What is the matter with you?” (Wisdom save : 4)
He tries to maintain his concentration on the wall of water , and he’s able to do so (Con save 16).
His eyes narrow and he looks at Leeta, focusing on her for a second. A sharp stabbing pain is evident in Leeta’s mind as you feel a wave of psychic energy from Kulogall come at you, you feel anger emanating from him. “Why are you attacking me? Why aren’t you protecting this girl? What’s the matter with you!!”
Mind Sliver attack on Leeta : DC 15 Intelligence save or take 11 points of psychic damage, and subtract 1d4 from your next saving throw (lasts 1 turn).
Leeta could have expected her blows to the triton to fail. Failing strikes wasn't alien to her, after all. And she could have expected some amount of pain in return, as she was very used to it."Enduring pain is part of the Way of the Monk", her drow mentor - or, more like ... father - would usually say. But what she didn't expect was to all of that combined, and with such force, to the point of ending up dissoriented.
The halfling knelt on the ground, a hand covering her nose in an attempt to stop all that blood from pouring down. From that position, Leeta looked up to Kulogall, eyes beaming with anger. The stillness of her inner pond was completely shattered by now.
(Round 4: Leeta fails with a 7. 1d4 less from any ST Leeta has to make up to Kulogall's next turn finishes in round 5. I will wait for the rest to act to declare my turn for round 5).
Mina gets pushed hard from Kulogall's gust and she falls back into the Wall of Water.
Soaking wet, frustrated, she glares at her friend. Then she sees what he is doing to their mini monk. "Damn it Kulogall!! You're under that things spell!! Snap out of it!"
(You have got to be kidding me. I rolled a NAT 1)
Mina grabs her dagger, holds it by the tip and throws it end over end so that the hilt knocks some sense into the triton. Apparently the water makes the steel very slippery and she drops it.

(My gosh I feel your pain there. I swear if there has to be an MVP for this battle, it's either Leeta or Rowarin)
Rixi CON Save in log: 18
On the outside Rixi manages to pull himself against the new first plant dog and parry its initial attack. At least, until the sudden tail strike suddenly causes him to blackout as his gentle, naive personality has been suddenly replaced by the demon that has been waiting impatiently to take over his entire soul (though no one notices that he's changed). Now nothing remains inside this empty shell. There nothing he can hear anymore; Nothing he can process whilst he is-
"Focus on this wall, it is the source of the creatures."
"I need... fire."
The wall... fire... Someone... needs him?! What?! He must be hearing things... no... wait... He feels the demon unable to control his conscience. He can move. He can still think. He can decide... who to attack, or in this case, what to attack...
The now raging Fire Genasi slowly lumbers towards the plant wall and, in the process, he tries to spear Plant Dog 1 with one end of his glaive in retaliation for attacking him. If he does succeed, he mercilessly raises him into the air before he smashes him head first into the ground with extreme force that he makes a small crater in the floor, before driving his second blade into its mouth (Polearm OA: 11 Damage: 5) (Actual Roll: 13, 13). Turning back to the wall as both blades erupt on fire again, he drives one of them straight into the wall with a massive clang on the weapon, causing A massive explosion to surround himself and the wall as he does so (and if they're in range, the plant dogs)
(The plant wall suffers from 17 Fire; DC 16 DEX if needed, especially if the plants dogs are closeby)
The halfling knelt on the ground, a hand covering her nose in an attempt to stop all that blood from pouring down. From that position, Leeta looked up to Kulogall, eyes beaming with anger.
The monk stands up and fights hard, very hard, against her current wish which is to bring hell on the one who has hurt her. But ... what's the point, she thinks as she wipes her face with the other hand. She hasn't even realized that, with these movements, both her hands are now dirty with her own blood.
"What is worth fighting for...?", she repeats herself, as she breathes in and out.
A few moments later she nods to herself, in clear agreement with her own silent response, and bows to both Kulogall and Mina.
The mini monk then turns back, this time looking for the rest of the party, who are fighting the vines. Perhaps she can be of better use there.
Round 5.
Leeta moves away from Kulogall (risking an AoO but hoping no attack comes at all. @twombley, it's your call!), and uses both action and bonus action to attack the vines, if possible. @Rynn if my movement is not enough, then we'll replace Flurry of Blows with Step of the Wind.
Action: Punch #1 To Hit: 21 Damage: 10. Punch #2 To Hit: 17 Damage: 10.
Bonus action: Flurry of Blows. Punch #3 To Hit: 19 Damage: 8. Punch #4 To Hit: 26 Damage 10. (1 Ki point left after this!)
Mizu blinks in slight surprise as Rowaran's magic stops some of his bleeding, and some of his strength returns. Well, like the aasimar said... it was just a flesh wound. He won't let such minor scrapes slow him down. Not now, not when the wall is finally burning.
"Thank you," he breaths to both Rowaran and Rixian.
Closing his eyes for a moment, he takes in a long breath, focusing on his breathing and slowing the blood flow the way his master taught him. (I was going to use Second Wind, but I don't think its necessary now lol) He breaths out through his teeth, and a puff of mist appears as if the air around him has gone frigid. Then his eyes snap open, and he rushes towards the nearest plant dog.
Action 1:
Attack: 13 Damage: 8
Action 2:
Attack: 13 Damage: 7
Bonus action:
Attack: 17 Damage: 6
(I'm hoping that this will be over before my turn, so if it is, Mizu will just go chop up whatever vine remnants are left... you know... just to make sure it doesn't come back lol).
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
As Leeta, Mina, and Kullogal continue their slapping contest, Rixian answer's Mizu's call for flames by aiming a blazing inferno at the writhing wall. This catches the already wounded plant dog 2 in it's wake as well as plant dog 4. Plant dog 2 immediately dies, though plant dog 4 has a small chance of survival.
Dex save: 9
(Will post again right after this, just need to know what that roll is.)
As soon as Rixian's flames touch it, the entire wall of vines ignites in a burst of red and orange light. Just as the flames reach the top of the wall, lighting up the roofs of the surrounding buildings, a dark-clad figure quickly descends the wall barely avoiding the flaming blast. It's the drow from the inn. In one hand he's holding a burning torch, and in the other he holds a rather beat up looking rapier. Before any of you have time to react, Twig suddenly lets out a blood curdling scream as her body slowly vanishes like dispersing mists. Plant dog 4 is currently on fire, but still alive. It anger tries to rush the newcommer, who thrusts his torch directly into it's withering face putting it out of it's misery.
Kullogal, you are now released from Twig's spell. :D
Now that the wall is gone, Leeta takes the initiative to take care of plant dog 3 using her speed to dash back towards Mizu. With two swift punches, the dog is demolished. Turning her tiny fists to plant dog 1, she proceeds to beat it to near death. Mizu then proceeds to slice and dice the already mostly dead dog into fine cubes...just to make sure it's dead.
(End combat)
With the threat now gone, the drow quickly stalks towards you. Glaring, he examines each of you from a short distance. "Did any of you get hit by the tails? If you did, you need to cauterize the wounds. If you don't you'll end up a thorny mess by morning." He holds up the torch.
Leeta looks at the drow and shakes her head in response. No, she wasn't hit by any plant creature, she conveys.
She glances at Mizu at her side, glad to see that he's well, and then takes a look at the rest, who also seem to be in good shape. After that, she steps a way a bit to look for a place where to sit for a moment - legs crossed in the lotus pose - and to leave space for the rest to talk to the drow.
There, she takes a bit of water and proceeds to clean her hands and face slowly and carefully, as she meditates about what has happened and tries to shake off whatever battle related emotions that may still running around her head.
Kulogall turns horrified as he hears Twig let out a blood curdling scream, then vanish in a mist. “Nooooo! What the….” He turns and looks, seeing the Drow and his eyebrows narrow. He drops the wall of water spell in his surprise, immediately suspicious of the Drow from the hotel now in the midst, with Twig’s screaming disappearance into the mist.
“You. Why are you here? Did you have something to do with this?” Kulogall shakes his head, actually reaching up and tapping it. Things don’t seem right. What… just happened? He turns and looks at Mina and Leeta, saying…”I feel….strange. Did I hurt you? Something….is wrong here. What just happened? Someone tell me, I feel like I’ve been gone for a few minutes, that I was protecting… someone, or something.”

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
The massive blast that Rixian made himself was also enough to blow himself away from the wall as he painfully lands on his back, nevermind the fact that he almost landed on his glaive, which would have been disastrous if he speared himself. Thankfully he doesn't, but he again blacks out a second time as soon as his face scraps across the pavement. He laid still in pain and exhaustion from the fight for almost two minutes. And then he hears a voice... or rather, a scream, that jolts him with a start as he snarls...
With the threat now gone, the drow quickly stalks towards you. Glaring, he examines each of you from a short distance. "Did any of you get hit by the tails? If you did, you need to cauterize the wounds. If you don't you'll end up a thorny mess by morning." He holds up the torch.
Immediately after being alerted by Twig's scream and then the sound of the dark elf the water warriors (minus Mizu) met earlier, Rixian jumps back up and readies an offensive stance with a snarl; In reality as he locks hi, this isn't his own doing. "Omae... OMAE WA ITTEI... DARED-ARRGGHH!" Rixian yells before he clutches his head and blacks out for a third time; As he yells, his voice didn't sound normal there; there was this infernal-like tone added to his once gentle and soft-spoken voice, which means that something must have temporarily taken over his mind before it suddenly became suppressed inside again...
But now, after blacking out for a third time, the sensitive paladin returns to normal as he clutches his head in pain. His entire body cools down too and is generating less heat as his glaive and jacket stop glowing. He opens his molten, pupiless eyes and squints, but then he tilts his head in confusion as he avoids everyone's gaze, minus the newcomer's and eyes him for a brief bit... He remembers most of the fight, but after before he got struck hard by a second tail from a plant dog, there wasn't must he could remember after that.
"Wait... what the..."Rixi shudders as he suddenly comes back to his senses for real. What happened? Is the fight over? All he remembers is that he, Leeta, Rowarin and... his supposed enemies... wait. He glances at his sacred pendant, which has reverted back to a shiny silver sheen now that combat has ended, and then his arms; They're oozing out molten blood that immediately cools upon coming into contact with the cold surface, but other than that he doesn't see anything abnormal on him; Either that or he had already cauterized them himself with his own heat. He then hears the drow as he again looks down at his own body just to make sure he's alright. "Um... I'm fine. S-sorry. Did I miss out on anything? Wait... you don't... you don't look familiar...?" He shudders nervously as he glances over to the water wall... and then towards to where the plant wall once was, or rather, the one he scorched... Wait. He did that? He finished off what he started? But... Where's Twig?! "Wait... d-d-did I... Twig...?!" He stutters, afraid that the wall he somehow burnt down was due to whatever caused him to lose his conscience... Oh crap...
So she's gone. He finished her didn't he; The plant wall that the paladin began burning himself had been finished by him too. And it was holding Twig's... um... again, wait... The children. Do they know that she was a ghost? This feels as messed up as the Icewind Dale Civil War he caught himself into... "Hang on..." He whispers to himself in shock as he scratches his own head in silence and kneels down. "If that was the ghost of Twig... where is the real one?" Did he actually kill her then? Because right now, he's feeling... nothing? What? His oath... it hasn't broken yet?! Huh?!
Well... He can still think, he can still make decisions on his own, he can even converse normally. This isn't right... he should have made a mistake of making a forbidden kill by now. How has not transformed yet? He's still trying to process this as he breathes heavily in his own time, until the group is ready to leave the premises. He had killed someone he wasn't supposed kill hadn't he? So how...?
Another thing that's also bothering him though: Before he succumbed to his infernal rage, he learns that he can now kill constructs alongside oozes, aberrations and, his secret sworn race that he had long to wipe out on his own. The other question is... Since when?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Once Mizu is satisfied that none of the creatures are going to come back to life, he turns his cold eyes on the newcomer. He recognizes the drow from the inn... he's the one that Mina had attempted to talk to. Wordlessly, he glances at the puncture wound on his lower arm, where the tail had struck him--and then proceeds to shove his arm in whatever remaining fire is smoldering around him. Effectively cauterizing the wound, he doesn't so much as flinch as the fire scalds his pale skin.
Then he turns to Kullogal and says quietly, "A spell had hold of you. But it seems it's gone now." He sounds troubled, clearly thinking about how lucky he was to be freed from the spell so early in the fight. Hesitantly, his eyes turn to Leeta, who hasn't spoken a word to him since she threw him into that wall.
Then, sheathing his sabers, he turns his hard gaze onto Rixian. His suspicions from before are rekindled after hearing... that voice. Not to mention the fact that the paladin seems to be having memory loss. But then again, that doesn't answer his previous questions. Perhaps this is different than what he had assumed. Just now, his mind is not warped by some wicked spell, and his emotions are under control again. So, he weighs the options. This is something he will have to address later, but not now. Not in front of everyone else. For now he'll keep an eye on this strange fire genasi. Meanwhile, they need to deal with this drow, and help Kullogal understand what is going on.
Moving away from Rixian and Leeta, Mizu wanders closer to Kullogal and explains the situation. He gives the bare minimum of details, only briefly mentioning that he and Mina had also been controlled, and not lingering on the fact that Kullogal had stayed under the influence for the entire battle. All he needs to know is that once Twig was gone, so was the spell. The wall was the key, and fire was the key to destroying it.
Then he glances at Rixian again, hesitating when he processes the paladin's words. Perhaps... Twig could still be out there? Is there a chance that they aren't too late? He lets out a long breath, closing his eyes for a moment. Either way, they have done all they can for the night. It's time to heed Leeta's advice and head back to the inn to get some rest.
"Perhaps there is still hope for her,"he says in an undertone. Then he turns his attention to the drow, "So you know of these things? Have you seen the disappeared return from death to bewitch their would-be rescuers?" His voice is as monotone as ever, and his icy gaze meets the newcomer's as he asks. Clearly this drow knows more than any other adult in town, they just need to pry the information out of him.
Then again, they also need to get to safety before another wall appears to feed them to plant dogs. After posing his question, he moves to stand beside Leeta, falling silent as he waits for everyone to get ready to leave for the inn. Soma lands on his shoulder, and he gives her an appreciative blink before sending her back into the air. Though, instead of simply flying off, Soma jumps to Leeta's shoulder, rubbing her white head on the mini monk's cheek, expressing her gladness that they both survived. Then she takes to the air. The hawk circles above the party once, then dips down towards Rixian--briefly grabbing at his flaming hair in a playful manner, only to then circle around Kullogal as if to offer reassurance before flying off ahead of them all.
Soma is scouting out the path home, to make sure we don't run into anymore walls on the way.
Perception:18
If she doesn't detect anything noteworthy on the path to the inn, she will also scout another route towards the house where the kids are hiding. Mizu has a feeling that at least one of their party members may want to check on them. Personally, he thinks they are just as safe where they are as they would be if they brought them to the inn. For now, let them have one last night in peace before they realize what has happened to two of their friends.
Mina stares in astonishment as the drow that was rude and condescending appears out of nowhere and actually helps. Triton's voice brings her back though and she turns to him, grabbing a hold of both of his arms. "Are you ok? I know what you felt, I was there too. but hey, we're back to ourselves now, ok?"
She looks like she almost wants to hug her friend, but instead, she squeezes his arms once more and then lets go, turning her attention back to the Drow. Anger is now laced in her words knowing that her friends are ok and she focuses solely on the man in front of her. "So.. now are you going to actually talk? And why did it have to wait until now? Some actual information from you might have saved that girl!"
Assuming Twig was already gone, Mina starts looking for the bloodred rose.

A wizard is never late, nor is he early, he arrives precisely when he means to.
Leeta could have expected her blows to the triton to fail. Failing strikes wasn't alien to her, after all. And she could have expected some amount of pain in return, as she was very used to it. "Enduring pain is part of the Way of the Monk", her drow mentor - or, more like ... father - would usually say.

Round 4:
There nothing he can hear anymore; Nothing he can process whilst he is-
The wall... fire... Someone... needs him?!

"Wait... what the..." Rixi shudders as he suddenly comes back to his senses for real.
Since when?

"Perhaps there is still hope for her," he says in an undertone.
