"I would imagine you would know the best way to get there Keeper Jaezred." Mender would reply, now swinging his dangling feet fast enough that he has to catch his pointed hat from falling off of his head. "What do all of you think? Each of you have experienced more of this world than I have. The majority of my life has been spent in schools of various sorts and now libraries. What do you think we should do?" His large unblinking eyes would move from the Keeper to each of his companions. his body still now as he sat like a loaded spring ready to shoot out of the chair at a moments notice
Umkhonzi stands. "It will be a challenging overland journey. We'll need many days' worth of food and water, camping gear, and possibly even climbing gear." One side of his mouth curls up, further exposing a tusk tooth. "And weapons, of course."
"Well put Umkhonzi." Brim comes to attention. "I suggest we take a day to gather supplies and tie up loose ends. We can meet at the stables for departure. We can also try and gain more intel from the Keep. Id like to brush up a little about where we're going. From the little I know of Cloud Peaks, it may be small, but it is dangerous."
Wizbang recalls the portrait above from the main library within Strixhaven featuring notable graduates of the college. Saxon Cuthbert is a great bard who invented serveal spells which influence the College of Whispers. His disappearance however wasn't noted in what Wizbang read or learned about the bard.
"You have access to the libraries of course. It's just passed seven. Plenty of time to do a little research. I'll arrange horses for the party with the Gatewardens. Here," Keeper Jaezred begins standing from her seat and producing a Emerald green envelope and handling it over to Tine. "Give this to the quartermaster and they'll supply you with whatever other mundane items you might require, " the Keeper explains. "Good evening," she adds bowing slightly before heading back towards the rippling portal and doorway beyond. "I wish you all the very best of luck, " she adds before stepping through.
OOC I will give the party Saskia Jaezred portent rolls for the next day. 16, 12, and 23. You can choose to take a roll besides rolling yourself OR impose a roll on another! Once these rolls are used they go away. For the sake of brevity we can discuss travel gear via PM!

Sometimes a Nat 1 tells a better story than a Nat 20 ever could.
Wizbang would listen intently to the keepers words... his mind racing as he thought about the upcoming journey. Then before he realized it, she was gone. "Wait I.. whoops.. too late.." He would say with a small frown. He would then turn to Ryan and poke him in the shoulder. "Do you think we will all get horses? or do you think they will give us a wagon of some kind. I don't know how to ride a horse... They are kind if big and it is a long way down if I fall off.. I wonder if they have riding mastiffs!" He would exclaim as he jumps up on to his chair. "Oooohhhh riding dogs are really neat and I really hope I can have one of them... or maybe a nice donkey" The small goblin would squeeze his spell book tightly as though it were a dog, causing the red bookmark to flail about as though it were some how struggling to breath.
"I'm going to try to find as many maps as I can of all the locations between here and the cloud peaks... as we as all the areas immediately surrounding the cloud peaks." Wozbang would say with a smile as he started to formulate a plan in his mind. "I'm going to make myself a list of items I want to collect before we go and hopefully I will have plenty of maps to help us find this mystery village." The goblin would then collect the new book and his spell book before quickly scampering out the door towards the library.
Brim goes deep in thought, already planning. He feels a tinge of excitement growing inside him, a mission, and to a mining town nonetheless. "Very good. Ill see what I can dig up on what sort of danger we may cross on the way there."
"I'll grab a few things as well, not much, will travel light I think. Can't wait to see what the little fella draws up too." He ponders before exiting. "Although there is one thing that doesn't sit well with me. The girl that brought the journal up, her memories were altered. I can't help but wonder why?"
Brim looks on at the floating plants and takes in the large hall one last time as he pads out.
Tine just listens as everyone begins to take jobs "I'll dig into the lore and history of Mr. Saxon Cuthbert. It may help uncover something we are missing. Would you mind if I also borrowed the book that the Keeper gave us? I'd like to read through it as well."she says with a bright smile as she looks at her companions.
Umkhonzi nods. "Some assistance would be appreciated. Do you want to round up camp supplies or climbing gear? Cold weather clothing might be good, too."
Wizbang would hand Tine the new book with a smile before Taking out a small piece of paper from his bag. he would then summon his quill to his fingertips and quickly make a list of items he would like. After finishing the list and signing his name at the bottom, he would fold over the paper and hand it to Umkhonzi. Once the paper was given to his companion he would scamper off in search of maps.

Tine just smiles as she looks at the book "This is amazing. I'm sure we can do this everyone."
When everyone breaks away to do their part she will just sigh patting her face out of nervousness "Alright Tine you can do this. This is what you always wanted." she says as she works herself up before moving into investigating the designated topics by the group.
OOC: Bardic Inspiration on the three of them for whatever rolls they may need to make
After scampering to the library, the small wizard would scramble to find any maps or information relating to the Cloud Peaks. "Alright Tome, help me out here... let's see what we can find..."
Investigation! 15 rolling again if someone comes to help! 4
Tine goes about the inner library free to move about. She passes various workers, clerks, and librarians wrapping up a day's work.
"We are open a little while longer dear," a whizen old gnomish woman says with bright white hair and large blue orb-like eyes. She's wearing a gray set of robes that tells Tine she's more than likely almost as old as Candlekeep itself! "Keeper Jaezred said to let you look around but mind you nothing leaves the library," she reminds Tine before leaving the young bard to it.
Tine focuses on the general area of bardic lore and major contributions. She discovers that Saxon Cuthbert is in the last several hundred years of lore! He pops up most however when a band of adventurers from the city of Neverwinter called the Merciful End began their exploits. Saxon and his band were pursuing a cult near the Cloud Peaks when they inexplicable disappeared! Not one of the Merciful End was heard from again! Saxon however left an indelible mark on the College of Swords being a clever fighter and a great poet.
Tine finds some other volumes of Saxon's poetry that leaves the bard a little hot under the collar with his description of a love for a certain dark skinned beauty who weaves fate.
Wizbang is the same large library as Tine however is rooms away in the geography section of Faerun and beyond. He finds a large earth genasi working on putting away atlases twice the size of the goblin when he finds an area about the mountains of Faerun! The Cloud Peaks are a small mountain range in west Faerun. The Cloud Peaks act as a natural border for northern Amn. The Cloud Peaks, although not a especially long mountain range, are very tall. The tallest mountain in the range is Mount Speartop which stands 4.5 km feet above sea level. The Cloud Peaks are cold and treacherous but the well travelled Trade Way road is forced to cross them. Many dangerous creatures live in the mountains and the Cloud Peaks are well known to house several dragons. The mining town of Nashkel is the 'entrance' so to speak to higher climes. The city is sometimes referred to as the Cold City, the Windy City, or the Sloping City. The people of Nashkel are called Nashkars. The leader of the settlement is Mayor Berrun Ghastkill. It's noted he is an adventurous sort, famous for saving many townsfolk from goblins out of the Cloud Peaks. Reading this Wizbang feels heat in his cheeks. He knows besides dragons the Cloud Peaks also host all manner of beasts and humanoids alike, goblins being among them! Nashkel is the entry point to the Trade Way and Wizbang is sure this is the best route to seek Vermeillon.

Wizbang takes out his book and snaps his fingers to summon his quill. In an instant the feather on the back of the quill begins shaking wildly as he frantically copies down the information as fast as he can. After he is done, he continues to look for more information on Vermeillon and maps of possible before heading back to his quarters to prepare for tomorrow's journey!
ooc: I don't know know if my roll counted for both the cloud peaks and vermeillon so I will roll one for that as well quick In case.. 21
OOC You only specified Cloud Peaks in post #35. I'll take the secondary roll for Vermeillon.
Wizbang reads about the rough terrain of the Cloud Peaks and ranging temperatures he notices too that the steeper the climb of the mountain range the more sparse settlements become. Nothing really of note other than an area thought to be rich in mithril deposits which he recalls flipping through Saxon's journal was the primary reason Vermeillon was established. It had become a boomtown for mithril! There are over a dozen recorded deposits listed on the map however of small mithril deposits. Nashkel is indeed one of the locations listed as having a larger deposit of mithril still being actively mined and traded. Wizbang knows he can learn more about mithril deposits here but probably more practically how to find them in Nashkel on the ground so to speak. He's pretty positive he can spot the obvious signs of mithril from his reading but if he investigates in Nashkel he might learn other ways to discover the location of Vermeillon based on mithril deposits alone!
Wizbang would sit on the floor and quickly take notes on everything he can find out about Vermeillon and how to spot mithril deposits. After taking notes well into the night, He would finally close his book with a loud slam. His pen would disappear and his eyes would close as he finished for the night. Taking off his pointed hat he would run his fingers through his silver tufts of hair. His head would rest against the bookshelf behind him as he thought about the journey ahead. Reading about the goblins that inhabited the cloud peaks filled him with worry. Being judged for who he was was a normal part of his life... but it was always harder in areas that are still plagued by goblin attacks. He would have to be on his best behavior if he were to change the hearts and minds of the locals in Nashkel. After nearlly falling asleep, the tapping of red silk across his face would cause his eyes to flip open. "Alright Tome, I'll head to bed" He would mumble before picking up books and equipment and heading off to bed.
