”I’m Kolbi. I’m from the coast.” he replies. “This is so exciting. I’ve never been to the city, and I’ve seen so much of it! I wonder why the company needs us. Do you know?”
Grimthor has lived in the city his entire life. While the industrial district is nice in it’s own right, it doesn’t compare to the craftsmanship put into this building. He takes in all the details as he follows the clerk into the building.
[sorry for the late response, have been ill over the last few days]
The Clerk leads you all inside, through the glass double doors. Inside, its... well, maybe different to what you may have expected. There's a small , circular receptionist's desk in the room you find yourselves in, but no receptionist behind it. Sofa's, chairs and couches line the walls, for anybody waiting to be spoken to, and just for the general use of the staff. A professional, yet comfy looking carpet lines the floor, red and gold in colour. The walls are the same, easy on the eye colour of the exterior of the building, made of a smooth brick. A few doors can be seen along them, along with a staircase at the back. The area is lit by the light streaming in through the doors, and some large looking steampunk lightbulbs.
Two men stand to the side of the desk, clearly waiting. One is slim and tall, a serious look on his face. He has shiny looking short black hair, and is wearing a high ranking military uniform.
The other is somehow taller than his companion, but of a much wider build. A giant of a man. He has short ginger hair, and is wearing mechanics clothes. He has a jolly smile on his face as you walk in, clearly pleased you're all here.
"You're here! Welcome to the Edinbrail company!" He reaches out to shake each of your hands. "I'm Aron Edinbrail, its a pleasure to meet you all. You'll have to remind me of your names though, I've been excitedly awaiting your arrival."

Astra returns the proffered handshake, “Lieutenant Astra Andasca, at your service.”
Her smile fades to a neutral expression, as she takes in the taciturn expression of the senior military officer. Have I seen him before..? Offering a crisp salute, she introduces herself, in accordance with formal protocol: “Lieutenant Andasca, reporting as ordered, Sir.”

Returning the salute, the man watches everyone with a stern eye, turning to adress Astra.
"Welcome, Lieutenant. I will be overseeing this company as long as it is in cooperation with the military." He states before introducing himself. "General Starkward of the Eastward station, second grade."

Excited to see someone in something other than formal military attire, Grimthor reaches out to shake Edinbrail’s hand. ”Grimthor Bloodsmith at your service, sir. It is a pleasure and honor to the call put forth.”
Tak nods warmly at the slim man, and then shakes Edinbrail's hand, maintaining good eye contact. "The name's Takuma Travino, so great to finally be here."

"Well, its great to finally have you all here! I have 2 contracts each for you to sign, one military one, and one for the company, and then I can show you what all this is about!" He grins.
You are each (apart from Astra) handed 2 papers, one labeled "military service" and the other labeled "Edenbrail terms and conditions." Astra is not handed the first one, as I assume she has already signed it in the past.
Both papers require you to fill in simple details about yourself, including name, age, gender, previous ranks, and previous experience. The military paper then goes on to state that, upon signing it, you agree that should you die, your death is not the fault of the military office or any military personnel, as long as your death occurred in military service. The military will do their utmost best to recover you from any injuries dealt to you whilst in service, but if they are not able to save you, that does not go down as the fault of the military. For the purposes of your mission, you will be required to follow orders from higher ranked personnel, and attack selected targets without hesitation. The military understands that you are not all trained soldiers, and so direct killing is unlikely to be ordered upon you, but still must be accounted for. You are also being brought in for a specific task, not purely for service.
The Edinbrail terms and conditions are a little less daunting. They speak about the state you should keep your living quarters in, being respectful to others, the do's and don'ts of the workshops, your payment and food, free hours, and where all the fire exits are.
What you sign and what you don't is up to you.

Takuma reads through the contracts, making mental notes of most of the contents within. He puts the papers up to a wall and signs both contracts.
[[OOC: Is there any more details on the so-called workshop, and on payment? Or will that be discussed with Edinbrail? ]]
[There's no more details on the workshop, only that there is one or more that you need to know about. The do's and don'ts are just simple things you would expect, like use the tools with caution, don't interfere with others, and get permission before doing anything drastic. The payment just confirms that you will be paid anywhere between 5sp and 5gp per week, on top of them paying for your food and living quarters, depending on how well you work.]

“And so we are. Onward and upward, then, shall we?”
Astra continues to follow the clerk, quite ready to discover what this new assignment will entail.
Takuma breathes in the city air, settling into a kind of business mode. "Looks like quite the establishment!" He says excitedly.
