"I'm not really much of a traveler but it seems like, eventually, we're going to need a ride home. What is your plan for getting us back off of the island?"
Delvindra will ask each of the captains the same question.

I am the goddess of the moon, the tides, and the axolotls
As the meeting breaks up by the gold dragonborn cheerfully skipping off, Yasmina is clearly not pleased with what she had heard. "A pleasure to be with?" She fumes, shaking her head in disbelief. She then walks off, trying to digest all that was mentioned. On top of everything else, knowing the female gold dragonborn too, or rather her magical staff, was an accident waiting to blow them all sky high did nothing to reassure her of that it would be safer to stay on with the group than to outright leave it. It still bothered her quite much that some of the others didn't much seem to care about their safety or if they would survive this at all.
After a walk in the garden at the back of the mansion, Yasmina would return for dinner, sharing it with Charlie and any others that hadn't already turned in for the night, where she takes part in a reasonably pleasant way, complimenting her host on his generosity and hospitality. Eventually she too returns to her bedchamber for a last night in a soft and comfortable bed for what would likely be a long time.
As she is summoned to the study again the next morning, the red-haired Half-Elf washes up and dresses, joining the others with some hesitancy and skepticism. She listens to the Captains' pitches and then to the preferences of the others, hoping the gold dragonborn wasn't choosing Blythe for her laxness alone, wondering if she would need to further impress on them they were not setting off on a leisure cruise now. She nods in agreement with Delvindra's question but feared the picking up part was simply not a part of what they were hired to do.
(Given the suggestion above and what we know so far, Yasmina would give 2 points to Fox as reaching the island without confrontations must be preferable, 1 to Anderson and 0 to the lax Captain Blythe.)
Based on the point scoring so far (not including Delvindra, I'll edit later when Delvindra made their choices) (also not including Wyvern's 2nd and 3rd, will also add that later):
Anderson: 3
Fox: 6
Blythe: 4
(so far, looking like it'll be fox, unless Wyvern's #2 choice is Anderson, and Delvindra's #1 are Blythe, which are unlikely. I think we can agree that it'll probably be Fox)
"I'm not really much of a traveler but it seems like, eventually, we're going to need a ride home. What is your plan for getting us back off of the island?"
Delvindra will ask each of the captains the same question.
Captain Anderson: "I see, I was not made aware that you would need assistance to return to the mainland. That being said, if you tell me when and where to pick you up, my ship will be there without fail. And if you cannot be found at the agreed upon meeting site, then my men and I will find what became of you, even if takes tearing apart the entire island."
Captain Fox: "As I understand it, there is a settlement of the living on the island's shore. I can't imagine that very many merchants come through, so my crew and I will remain for a few days to barter with the local population. Just try to return as quickly as you can... we will certainly try to wait a reasonable time for your return, but eventually we may need to attend to other business."
Captain Blythe: "Well, who's to say that I might not want to go on my own little adventure? This 'Shaded Isle' must be full of fascinating relics! Of course, I can meet you back by the boat whenever you want."
Sir Charles also offers to lend you a set of sending stones to contact the captain in the event that you need an early or late retrieval.

Unhappy that the market got rid of individual purchases for one-off subclasses, magic items, and monsters?
"Assuming you are not caught up in your own little adventure." The red-haired Half-Elf says to Captain Blythe, sounding a bit skeptic over that particular plan, then accepting the sending stones from Sir Charles with a polite smile.
(Yasmina's preferences as before. Just say if anyone else should carry the sending stones)
"A carpenter thinks to cut with a saw, a woodsman with an axe, a tailor with shears, and a butcher with a knife. A wise man does not become so fixed on one tool as to be blinded to the others."
Though she'd rather avoid any trouble altogether, with the words of the monastery in her ears Delvindra casts her vote.
Meanwhile, as the party finishes discussing which captain to choose, Duwamilly, who has already expressed her opinion, takes the opportunity to approach Charlie: "It looks like we're about to take our leave, Charlie..." she smiles "It was nice meeting you, you are quite a nice person! You have done a lot for us! When we are free from our 'problems', it will also be thanks to you, who helped us as best you could! Here," she takes out an object from her pocket... a Music Box, which she worked on during the night just gone "this is for you, as a symbolic 'thank you'... and to remind you of us!"
The appearance of the contraption is that of a miniature of the front of the mansion, with the majestic entrance door that can be opened...
"When you open the door," the little tinker explains "it starts playing its song... when it's done, the music stops and the door closes again - obviously, if you close the door first, the music stops prematurely. It's just a small thing, as I told you... (on the other hand, what could you expect, from a small woman?)... you can certainly afford a thousand more beautiful things, but it seemed right to leave you a sign of our gratitude".
"But... don't use the music box when it's not important to do so..." the ex-Preceptor advises "Because, you should know, Charlie, that it is built with gnomish technology. Have you ever heard the saying 'if it ain't broke, don 't fix it'? Well, it's a saying invented by humans. For gnomes it makes no sense, because their devices 'break' continuously. It's a cornerstone of gnomish technology. Only if a device breaks, you can take care of it (thus demonstrating your attachment), appreciate it when it works, update it with the latest technology as you fix it... This Music Box too follows the same principles, which I fully embrace - after a few times you use it, it will break. So only use it when you really want something to cheer you up... or to remind you of us! And when it breaks, don't worry - if I happen to come back to say hello, I'll fix it - obviously updating it to the new principles of gnomic engineering. In this way, your Music Box will never be a static, finished, dead object, but a living, pulsating, ever-evolving one!"
Finally, lowering his voice, the gnome cleric:
"And as for the fox hunt, while I thank you very much and I certainly would have loved it, I understand you have better company to invite... so I've decided it's best if I don't come. You look so good together! And now I'm going... someone has to keep an eye on the kids on the Shaded Isle, right?"
And with a final bow to the host and a satisfied smile, Duwamilly, in a joyful clank of armour, rejoins the group, which in the meantime has surely made a decision on the captain to choose...
On that, I think wyvern would have #1 pick as Anderson, then Blythe, then Fox

"How long will the trip take? I don't like long trips... kinda boring... so I just wanted to know."
Anderson: "It will likely take us about 8 days to reach the island. The waters are known to be hazardous, full of things that are best not spoken of too loud. But my crew and I will make sure you get there safe."
Fox: "I can likely get you where you need to be in 5 days. I admit, there certainly are stories of dangerous beings that haunt the waters, but I have never met a monster that swims faster than the my ship."
Blythe: "I'm fairly sure I can get you there in six or seven days. And the gentlemen are right, rumor has it that creatures, undead and otherwise, guard the Shaded Isle. But I know we can handle whatever this little adventure might throw at us."
Current rankings: Anderson - 5 Fox - 7 Blythe - 4

The red-haired Half-Elf is more and more convinced that Fox is their Captain, the sooner they would reach the Shaded Isle the better, and if they could avoid any sea monsters all the better. While the questions had been relevant to the mission she has no questions herself at this point and is ready to cast her vote.
The man accepts his new job with a smile, and the other two are equally graceful as they shake hands with you and go about their day. Your new captain looks over the lot of you carefully.
"You look like a competent enough group... if perhaps not the most subtle. If any of you are familiar with seafaring, then you are more than welcome to pitch in around the ship. Otherwise, just do your best to stay out of the way and keep yourselves occupied. Normally I would be happy to teach new sailors the ropes, but considering the circumstances before us I think it's best not to risk any costly mistakes as the result of giving too much responsibility to inexperienced sailors."
Is there anything else that any of you would like to do before you set sail?

Cal is for number Anderson, Blythe, then Fox when it comes to captains.
Top pick for Wyvern would be captain Blythe

Okay, with Wyvern's new ranking, it looks like our tally is:
Anderson: 5
Fox: 6
Blythe: 5
Okay... looks like we're pretty close here with Fox just barely on top. Last chance if anyone wants to ask any more questions or change their vote.
