The party all wait tensely for whatever is above to appear... for a moment, there is nothing. Then a booming laugh echoes through the chamber...
It has been several centuries since I have had the pleasure of destroying a pathetic djinni like you, Amir! a voice calls out arrogantly. You and these useless mortals whom you protect!
From seemingly nowhere, something unleashes a destructive wave! All six mummies, Lord Amir, the Air Elemental, and the Giant Constrictor Snake are within the 30-foot radius, and must make a DC 14 Con save or take 13 thunder damage and 22 radiant damage and be knocked prone (half damage and no other effects on success)
Actually, I think Cal and Zander would also have placed themselves into the area of the genie's spell... and Delvindra also is explicitly in the spell's AoE...
"Delvindra, honey!" Duwamilly exclaims, anguished, as she sees the brave tiefling collapse to the ground following the intruder's brutal spell.
"That was rude!" the gnome cleric protests, threateningly waving the preceptorial wand at the intruder - who is presumably still smoking from the fireball he received in full.
[[ OOC: @groverbloom: Don't worry, the guest took his turn already, so, as soon as all saves are rolled, either the mummies are up (if they act this round) or we again (as first in the new round). You'll be soon back on your feet. ]]

Yeah, about that... the vast majority of the mummies just got reduced to smoldering piles of ash. I think one or two of them might still be 'alive.' Just waiting on Cal and Zander's actions before round 2 starts.
[[ OOC: No precise idea how high the ceiling is, but since Duwamilly had no need to wait for the enemy to land - she could have fired the wand as soon as she saw him come out from the ceiling - could friends be still too far from the blast to be affected?
Anyway, if not, sorry, just hold on, I'll get you back up ]]
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Maheen..." The Djinni Lord sneers. "...you will take no more lives, I will end you, here and now." He growls and flies into a furious rage, sending a quick fierce series of slashes against the Dao with his massive thunderous scimitar.
Cal will step in front of his comrades and do the dodge action with his rod still set to the battle axe mode.
Zander would also be stepping in front. He readies his action to attack.

Only then does the creature finally appear, descending from the ceiling in a cloud of sand...
But everyone's readied actions trigger as soon as the evil genie descends from the ceiling...

Oh, ouch... that's true, Milly did just cast a fireball on Cal and Zander... Zander, gonna need both a Con save and a Dex save.
