(OOC: Ugh! OK, obviously not using his bardic inspiration if his result is < 11. Hewelathan will spend a Luck Point to re-roll the WIS check.)
Hewelathan - WIS check re-roll: Dice rolls not yet available for this section.
(OOC: Huh. OK. I may have to try on the character sheet.)
Hewelathan - WIS check re-roll: 20 (in game log)
Saving his bardic inspiration for later since that check should succeed at dispelling even a 9th-level spell.
A twist of fate smiles upon the Druid... there is an audible crackle in the air as the Red Dragon's tether is broken! It let's out a mighty roar as the dark wizard's vile power is dissipated.
(OOC: Annnd... you've saved a second dragon-in-distress of the campaign, the first being Cynurrarth. Congrats!)

Jodie smiles Luck is on our side and her readied action is triggered to persuade the dragons through song. She sings loudly for the red dragon to hear and continues her song for the green dragon, awaiting for the lich to break the tether before ending.
(OOC: Annnd... you've saved a second dragon-in-distress of the campaign, the first being Cynurrarth. Congrats!)
(OOC: Well, Hewelathan was much more enthusiastic about saving Cynurrarth than he is about unleashing a Red Dragon! On the other hand, if the option is an dragon at the end of Firon's magical leash and a liberated dragon who has some reason to oppose Firion, he'll definitely take the latter!)
Hildegard will not leave Zolgu's attack unanswered. She would have ridden Perdita out to attack him an any case, planning to attack and then fall back to guard the rear entrance. But now that Nickeline is so exposed, she says, "Nickeline, get back in the cave. They can only enter one at a time, and you can hold the entrance against them."
Then, at a subtle prompt from Hildegard, Perdita leaps into the air, over the gnomish cleric, and flies a short arc before landing again next to Zolgu. As they approach, Hildegard calls out a challenge to Zolgu: "In the name of the Seven Heroes, you shall be stopped!" She sits the fiery mount confidently, maneuvering to let her swing her sword down at Zolgu. Perdita merely dodges as she looks from Zolgu to the approaching cultists and, in the distance, the Green Dragon.
Movement: Hildegard moves Perdita to engage Zolgu in melee and to force him to go around her even if he manages slip away. Action: Attacking Zolgu with her Longsword, with advantage because of the Mounted Combatant feat. Attack 1: 21, Damage: 6 (slashing) Attack 2: 23, Damage: 11 (slashing) Free Action: Talking. Possibly also using Divine Smite if she hits Zolgu.
(OOC: Oops. I forgot about Sir Stephen! He acts on Hildegard's turn, immediately after her.)
Round 2: Sir Stephen
Zolgu somehow squirms out of Sir Stephen's hands. He thinks to pursue the kobold sorcerer, but sees that Hildegard bravely moves to block him. Seeing the next group -- not to mention the Red Dragon and the arch-mage just beyond them -- he fears that dark cultist may be able to kill Hildegard while she's engaged in a fight with Zolgu. Steeling his courage and vowing to use this opportunity to fulfill the oaths he failed to honor in life, Sir Stephen echoes Hildegard's battle cry. As he charges at the cultist, he yells, "In the name of the Seven Heroes!"
Movement: Move 25-ft to close with the cultist Action: Two attacks with his Greatsword against the cultist. If the cultist falls to his first attack, make the second attack against Dragonshield #3. Attack 1: 8, Damage: 12 (slashing) + 3 (radiant) = 15 (total) Attack 2: 13, Damage: Unable to parse dice roll. (slashing) + 3 (radiant) = 3 (total) Free Action: Talking
(OOC: More forum roller problems. Trying to edit the post to trigger dice rolls.)
As a reaction, Zolgu throws up a Shield, stopping the first of the two attacks. However, Hildegard's second manages to punch through his defense and hit him hard.
Both of Sir Stephen's attacks unfortunately miss the cultist.
Spear vs. Sir Stephen Attack: 14 Damage: 3 Attack: 11 Damage: 7
The kobold fails to pierce Sir Stephen's armor.
The remaining cultist attempts to take Hildegard out of the fight, pointing a finger at the Paladin and whispering a dread incantation Hildegard must make a DC 15 Con save or take 38 Necrotic damage (half-damage on success).
(OOC: Yeah, that's what I thought might happen. I have Hildegard's current HP = 18. Therefore, whether she passes or fails the saving throw, she is unconscious but not dead. She'll start making death saving throws on her next turn if no one revives her first.)
Round 2: Hidlegard Action: Attacking Zolgu with her Longsword, with advantage because of the Mounted Combatant feat. Attack 1: 21, Damage: 6 (slashing) Attack 2: 23, Damage: 11 (slashing)
As a reaction, Zolgu throws up a Shield, stopping the first of the two attacks. However, Hildegard's second manages to punch through his defense and hit him hard.
(OOC: I forgot to add Bless to Hildegard's attacks. That could turn the first attack into a hit and save Zolgu the reaction.)

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The Astral Lich glimmers in the starlight as it regenerates (current 152 hp) and looks up at the magical tether binding the green dragon and raises it's skeletal hand to unravel the bond.
Charisma check: 20 (15 in Jodie's log + 5)
Stellar Pulse recharge (5, needed 5-6)
It thinks the two dragons will occupy the mage, so it takes an astral step (+2AC, 60' teleport) and moves within 10' of Zolgu. As Gorash, Selarial, and Smiler act, the lich tears at the Zolgu's mind
Smiler watches from the cave as the dragon fire suddenly burns bright and then fades. Not noticing the spirit dragon forming behind him in the cave, he recites a poem aloud in a hysterical tone that veers from sing-songy to tragic:
"Now hollow fires burn out to black, And lights are guttering low: Square your shoulders, lift your pack, And leave your friends and go.
Oh never fear, man, nought 's to dread, Look not left nor right: In all the endless road you tread There 's nothing but the night."
Smiler steps through a shimmering mist that appears before him, reappearing outside the cave to check on the confused kobolds. Seeing that the cultist was unaffected by his spell and is still standing, Smiler hurries over to him, saying, "If you won't play, then you'll have to go!" Then he draws his shortsword and attacks. If he kills the cultist, he uses his remaining movement to move west, away from the kobolds and "behind" the red draagon.
Movement: 30-ft Fey Step out of the cave. 15-ft of movement to close to melee with the cultist and possibly 15-ft west away from the kobolds. Bonus Action: Fey Step Action: Two attacks with his Shortsword, +1 against the cultist. Attack 1: 15, Damage: 7 (piercing) Attack 2: 21, Damage: 12 (piercing) Free Action: Talking. Drawing his sword.
Concentration: Confusion, round 2 of 10, on KDS #3 and #4. (DC 15 WIS saving throw) Neither kobold can take a Reaction or Bonus Action while the spell is in effect. Plus, next round, they suffer the following effect: KDS #3: 6 KDS #4: 8
Selariel looks at Gorash and nods in thanks of the protection. She tries to get back her charm: 2 which she doesn't. She does use Healing light on Gorash in thanks healing him for 15hp.
Than she flies to what she expects to be their worst enemy; Firion. Where she tries to hit him with a radiant touch:
to hit 14 for 15 radiant damage.
Gorash meanwhile feels the healing and is happy the dragons seems to have lost their bond to Firion, he moves 30ft towards Firion and than cast a firebolt at the remaining kobolds and cultist: DC12 dex save or take 23 fire damage, half on success.
Edit: Oh and he tries to get back his arcane ward: 6, which he does get back!

21 20
Smiler, meanwhile, manages to plunge one of his swords into the remaining cultist, doing 12 damage, while the first strike glances off the cultist's armor.
Selarial misses with the Radiant Touch, but her holy, healing light descends upon Gorash.
Tamphalic, with the bat on his back in his hood, moves outside and moves in such a way he can target the 2 kobolds, the cultist and firion in his Lightning bolt (5ft wide 100ft long((Hopefully he can)).
If needed he uses a bonus action to move one of the kobolds or the cultist 5ft with telekenesis to try and have them in the bolt. DC15 strength save or be moved 5ft.
DC15 dex save or take 22+1=23dmg on a failed save 11dmg
as no matter what the save is he damages his enemies with Lightning they can't take any reactions until their next turn thanks to the dragon mask.
