This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Nean awakes with his head feeling incredibly dazed, as if packaged in cotton wool, he tries to lift himself out of the Bed, but realizes he is rather about to fail and collapse on the floor instead. A dark hunch crossing his mind, he waits for several minutes more until he attempts to stand up again. Although still quite dizzy, he does his best to wander around the room, looking for clues who or rather what exactly could be the source of his malaise, as he highly doubts it to be a coincidence.
Investigation: 20
OOC: Is there any way to get some whater within the room? And a mirror, to check himself for...potential bite marks? Investigation mainly to see if something's snuck into the room..and is there any potential check to understand what happened to him?
Nean: Though your mind is fogged, your thoughts immediately jump to one conclusion. You rush to the mirror and inspect your neck, and sure enough there are two small puncture wounds.
Clermar pushes through the malaise and gets himself prepared for the day. He stops a couple times while donning his armor to catch his breath and strains to heave all his equipment onto himself. Eventually makes it to the hall where he sees Bram.
"Huh, oh. Can't say it has much to do with bravery. I was just tired I guess. Actually I still feel pretty beat, maybe it was the bed."
He sighs a bit and looks around hearing the commotion.
Ava immediately notices the lack of color in the complexion of Clermar and Neanand their haggard movements, and quickly moves to see the bite marks in their necks.
"Oh no no no, this will not do. We were ensured of our safety by the Lord of this manor, and the two of you have been fed upon! There will be apologies and repercussions, or our Lord Sirroci is going to see more light than he's seen in decades.
Ava turns around and quickly storms towards the raised voices
Ospos looks at Clermar and Nean, then to Ava storming off. "Uh oh." Staying with the others, Ospos will follow Ava after packing up the tiny hut and donning the haversack.
"You have a point, I'm sure that a conflict would cause issues at HQ, and I wouldn't want to put you all in further danger by acting impulsively. It just burns me up that Sirroci would allow this to happen while under his "protection". Frankly, I'm not ruling out that it was the Lord himself that drew blood from Clermar and Nean without consent. The deceitful and calloused nature of it all just drives me to further distrust him, and want to get the hell off of this plane as soon as possible."
Taking a moment to compose herself
"Ok, we'll take things slowly, though I think one of you should do the talking. If I get going I'm likely to work myself up into a frenzy."
The voices lead you to the dining room. One of the thralls is in the process of setting the table, and more activity can be heard from the adjacent kitchen. The voices seem to belong to Lord Sirocci and who you all can assume is Lady Lah'thys. Not only do they bare a strong resemblance to each other, but the bickering fits that of a brother and sister. Where Sirocci is enchanting, Lah'thys is imposing. Lean muscle ripples across her back and arms, almost like a predatory cat, and she is dressed in simple but stylish leather pants and a sleeveless jerkin. The pair immediately stops talking as you all enter the room and she turns to you. She has strong features, framed by long black hair and bangs which fall razor-straight above her brow.
Lord Sirocci greets you all with a smile. "Ah, our guests have risen earlier than expected. Breakfast will be ready in just a-"
He is cut off by his sister with a dismissive hand wave. "Excuse my brother's pandering. And I apologize I couldn't meet you all sooner, the last few days have been one hellish incursion after another. I am Lah'thys, Bounder Ambassador for the Shadowfell. Please sit, we can discuss your business here. Hopefully I can be of some help." her voice is flat and matter of fact, in contrast to Sirocci's lilting tone.
With the introductions taking place, Nean gives his best do appear unimpressed by this nights events. He waits a second to let Bram finish, and then both Ava and him can once again understand his voice in the back of their head, one after another.
"Thank you, I really do appreciate it, but we got more important matters to deal with right now. I do not wish to ruin our best chance to gather information because of my own stupidity. I might try and see what can be done afterwards."
After conveying his words, he keeps his eyes focussing straight ahead, not looking at anyone in particular.
Clermar and Nean: (whether to your relief or disappointment, you do not have fangs lol)
Bram: "Interesting, yes I know Verrina actually. She's here on the plane seeking an artifact, the Devourer's Reliquary. I believe it actually may be connected to the incursions. We were working together at one point but she went off after the object while I moved to close the infernal portal. I can certainly be of assistance in locating her."
She says this as she moves to inspect the necks of Clermar and Nean. Upon seeing them she fires a glare at her brother, who replies with a scoff. "I'm offended you'd even imply this was my doing. You know my tastes, neither of them are remotely my type." Lah'thys stalks towards the door and snatches a weapon that had been resting there. It is an elegantly forged glaive, with a jet black shaft and a blade etched with angular interlocking designs. A red gem sits at the opposite end, which emits a soft glow as she grabs the weapon. "Then who the hell did it? Did any of you all see anything?"
Clermar looks confused but steps forward toward Lady Lah'thy with his hands raised slightly and his palms open in a calming position.
"Whoa there Lady Lah'thy. There's no need to take up arms like this now. Now, as far as I can tell, me and my friend here are still alive, a bit sluggish, but alive. Now your brother said last night that he had control of your staff here?"He turns to Lord Sirocci, "How complete is that control? Could they be forced to answer without uh ... force? Or is it possible there could be a rogue vampire around?
He pauses a moment and turns to look back over his shoulder, looking a tad bit insecure and addresses Lady Lah'thys.
"What exactly is your type?" Then fully turns around and extends a hand, "Pardon my manners, pleasure to meet you. I'm Clermar Naero of Solacus."
Ava steps forward after Clermar introduces himself
"A pleasure to finally meet you, Lady Lah'thys. My name is Avalokitesvara Narajuna, but you can call me Ava. It's a relief to see that you are taking this matter as seriously as we are."
At the mention of a rogue vampire, both Sirocci and Lah'thys share a glance of realization. Sirocci floats over towards the door. "Lysander! Bring Uncle Timmiz! And a stake." he calls out. Meanwhile Lah'thys sets her glaive back against the wall and takes a seat at the head of the table. "It is nice to meet you all, and I'm glad that you have arrived when you did. The incursions I mentioned... well it seems that there is devil activity here in the Shadowfell. An unauthorized rift to one of the nine hells was discovered in the Onyx Foothills, with evidence of heavy traffic. I tracked this back to a storehouse not too far away from the portal, and found that the devils are... somehow producing what could be called a magical stimulant. My brother analyzed it and it seems to contain soul essence, but we weren't sure how they're processing it. I ran into Verrina on the trail as I was seeking the rest of them out. She seem to believe the relic she seeks, the Devourer's Reliquary, may be part of that process. The object is known to rip souls from the living, even undead beings aren't safe as it strips them of the lingering soul energy remaining inside them. Unfortunately I do not know where this object is exactly, like I said, Verrina went to track it down while I went to close the portal, then returned here. But if you all can assist me in finding the reliquary, I'd bet Verrina would be nearby." as you all begin discussing these things, the thralls begin bringing out food. There is a glazed and glistening roasted boar, a tray of scrambled eggs, and several baskets of flaky rolls and toast alongside a selection of fruit preserves.
There's not trusting vampires and turning down perfectly good looking food. One is obviously not linked to the other, and Ospos has been eating rations too much lately. Without a word, Ospos sits himself down and begins his first of hopefully many plates of breakfast.
"I cannot speak for the others, but I would be happy to help you track down the item, if the others are also ok with that."
"If we can help you clean up and secure your home plane, and also find Verrina at the same time, that would seem an optimal use of our time and energy."
As the servants begin placing food out, Bramsay,
"Thank you kindly, this looks wonderful."
Seeing Osposforgoe his reluctance to be near the vampires, for the delicious food, Bramsmiles broadly.

"Ava, wait, think before you speak!"
"If we go in hot headed, things could escalate into hostilities we may not walk away from."
"Even if we managed to win a fight with a vampire lord and his thralls, his sister is a bounder, our work associate."
"Lets maybe try taking it a little slower, find out the specifics of what happened?"
"See if we can work things out, without getting into trouble we cant undo?"

"I agree with you Ava, what appears to have happened, is unacceptable. And I agree whole heartedly with getting off this plane as soon as we can."
"It moves my heart to see that you care so greatly for us. We lucked out so much, meeting you on the Feywild."
Bram looks around at his friends, and then specificity at Clermar and Nean,
"I don't suppose you have any spells or abilities that could help Clermar and Nean?"
"If things do end up going badly, having everyone in tip-top shape would be good."

Clermar will hold Nean back as the rest enter the dinning room. He looks closely at his face before opening his mouth wide.
He tries to talk with his mouth fully open, "Okay, Nean. Check if I have fangs, and I'll check you."
Bram sees Clermar out of the corner of his eye, and almost smacks his hand to his forehead, but manages to restrain himself.
"Thank you Lady Lah'thys, we appreciate you making time for us."
Bram gives a deep formal bow, before he takes one of the indicated seats.
"We actually have a couple of issues we hope you can help us with."
Bram takes a breath before continuing,
"First, we are on the hunt for one Verrina Dusttoe, who be believe may be here on the Shadowfell."
"We have good reason to believe she may have knowledge we need in the search for another missing person."
Bram indicates Ava,
"Ava here can fill you in, on any of the details."
Bram, eye's Clermar and Nean, before running his eye's over the rest of his companions.
Making sure not to look at Lord Sirocci, Bram continues,
"The other matter, regards two of our number and a possible unconsented interaction during the night."
"Two of our number have awaken this morning with some small puncture wounds, and feeling not at all at their full potential."
Bram tenses a little, waiting to see how Lady Lah'thys will respond.

Ospos was about to speak but Bram took the lead. Ospos is also anxiously waiting for the response.
(BTW, Ospos will try to stay away from the vampires as well as Clermar and Nean. Keep his allies between each, if possible.)
