Thallan: Krug hands you the vial, but as you begin to transform her eyes grow wide. "Ooh so you a freak-" she says excitedly before slapping her hand over her mouth, a mix of mischief and embarrassment that she let the lewd comment slip playing across her face. "I- uh- yeah lemme go grab some more of that stuff for y'all." she scurries away back to the shelves.
With a look of concern on her face "May I ask about this mirror that you all have mentioned several times? I understand that it is what took you to the Feywild, and that you were unaware of it's nature upon contact, but it seems to hold some greater importance to you all. I would understand, however, if the information is more personal than you would like to share with someone you've just met."
"Naw, it was nothing too important, just the job we were sent on that got us trapped out here. Besides, there are really two mirrors, one from home and the other in the feywild. The first is buried pretty well so it's hard to get to, but at least we know where it is." Clermar looks down at his worn chain mail."If no one minds, I've got some coin to spend on new armor and then I'll be readt to go wherever."
Ospos looks pained to be doing so, but he spends his gold to buy two healing potions and two holy water flasks. He takes his new handy haversack and repacks his gear, including the extra 7 days of rations, the 2 healing potions, the 2 holy water flasks and his own tiny hut stone. "I suppose I will hold onto this," he says as he takes the scroll of sending.
"Shadowfell... can't say I've heard good things. Hope you all like dead things."
(directing everyone to the OOC thread for shopping. be sure y'all are keeping track of your items and gold cuz I'm sure not. Seems Ospos is taking charge of being group inventory with the haversack)
(actually I'm just gonna go ahead and move things now assuming most people don't need any more basic stuff, but if you do just comment it on the OOC thread)
Thallan: As you hold they fey device, you feel it's magic reach out in every direction, like roots spreadings from a tree. It seems that there is nothing for them to latch on to though, and the bud remains inert in your hands.
Thankfully, Ava is familiar enough with the market that you all easily find your way to Li-li's, a small building that looks almost like a copper plated soup can turned on its side. You all enter through a dusky green drape to find an interior of neatly arranged tables and shelves. The place is lit by glass tubes that run across the ceiling that contain glowing filaments; they cast a warm glow and produce a slight buzzing sound. The person you assume to be Li-li is currently speaking to a cloaked customer. She is humanoid, but where flesh would normally be, there is metal and wood, bound together with leather-like ligaments and accented by ceramic elements. her face is also ceramic, a glossy porcelain mask sculpted with simplistic humanoid features. A frizzy, curly, blonde wig sits a little crooked on her head, and she is dressed in a brown tunic and a shawl with pretty golden paisley. As she is occupied at the moment, you all take a look around the store and find:
Answering Liafial, "A pertinent question, for another time. If we can help Ava here, maybe we can prove our worth and become Bounders ourselves. Then we can learn those answers in due time."
"Thank you for the kind offer friend, but perhaps you should take Liafial advice. If we are able to acquire more riches, you may be glade you saved your current coin."
"Dril and myself could both potentially benefit from the proposed purchases. You wouldn't be getting any direct benefit, offering us any of your coin right now."
Turning to look at Dril,
"No, I think I would rather wait until we return, if Drill is not able or interested right now."
Dril has been lost in his own mind. While hearing and fully understanding Thallan he has been far too busy to responds. Relaxing a bit, he responds to Thallan "Do you have the same abilities in all of your forms? I genuinely don't know. Neither of the spells you proposed would do much good as a duplicate but I believe in teaching the arcane. Whether the lesson is shared with only one personality or the whole Void may sway my decision.
"I may choose, when trying to maintain the consistency of my persona in front of others, to not use any given ability that I am proficient in."
"But I am always able to use all of my abilities, no matter the persona currently visible."
"In regards the scrolls, I agree, both of us having the spells at our disposal, may not be particularly efficient. Having said that, there are situations I can conceive of, where having another able to cast a spell could be of great benefit."
"For example, if we are ever separated and one or the other needs to make use of the duplicate spell. Or if one or the other is ever incapacitated, and the spell is again needed."
"Take Tenser’s Floating Disk, if we were both able to make use of this spell, we would be able to carry 1000lbs between our two discs. This could come in handy if we ever find another dragons horde like the one we were trapped in for a short time."
Thallan looks between the collection of scrolls and Dril,
"So, are you interested and able to enter an agreement with me, on the purchase of a scroll?"
Thallan: Krug hands you the vial, but as you begin to transform her eyes grow wide. "Ooh so you a freak-" she says excitedly before slapping her hand over her mouth, a mix of mischief and embarrassment that she let the lewd comment slip playing across her face. Thallan, smiles at Krug's comment.
"Oh, I am quite the freak."
Thallan winks at Krug, and with a mischievous grin, remarks.
"Like I said, we will have to get to know each other more, over drinks."
At the talk of the mirror, Thallan nods agreement.
"Yeah its more of a professional concern. We don't want to leave a job unfinished, if we don't have to."
At Clermar's suggestion of doing some more shopping before heading out, Thallan agrees.
"Yes, perhaps we could check out a few shops for any other equipment we may want to acquire. So we are well equipped for whatever lies ahead of us."

"Ah, yes. That's quite admirable, seeing a task through to its end. Thank you for sharing this with me."
"I believe that I have all I need...." She pauses for a moment of reflection "Actually, Krug, could I have three healing potions, hun?"
Ava takes out the necessary gold.
Ospos looks pained to be doing so, but he spends his gold to buy two healing potions and two holy water flasks. He takes his new handy haversack and repacks his gear, including the extra 7 days of rations, the 2 healing potions, the 2 holy water flasks and his own tiny hut stone. Thallan, answers Liafial,
"I'm in control right now. I can not guaranty anything in the future though."
"When Ospos used my true name, it did seem to pull me back to awareness, so hopefully we wont have too many problems."
Thallan asks his friends again.
"Are we going shopping for possible extra equipment, or are we on too tight a schedule for that?

Fine with me, what kind of equipment is actually available tho?
As Thallan waits for his friends to finish with Krug and decide where to head next, he gets an idea.
Thallan pulls out the Compass Rose the group received from the Lady in Amaranth.
Holding the compass up Thallan thinks hard about each of his companions in turn, examining if the compass points to each person or not.
After this he thinks hard about Li-li's magic shop, again examining the compass for any signs it might be indicating the direction to the shop.

Thallan, after having had a look through the scrolls, approaches Dril.
"Dril, my fellow student of the arcane, I was wondering if you wanted to maybe share in the purchase of a scroll?"
"I myself do not currently have enough to purchase a scroll, but if we could share the cost, we could both copy the spell for our mutual benefit."
Turning to indicate the scroll collection available, Thallan continues,
"Of the scrolls available, two are options that work with my particular capabilities. Speak with Animals and Tenser’s Floating Disk."
"I only have about 170gp I can put towards the purchase, but I do already have the spell scribing ink for the transcribing of the spells."
Looking Dril keenly in the eye, Thallan asks,
"So, how about it my intelligent friend, do we have enough between us, are you interested?"
