Ospos sets the Haversack down and rummages inside it to find the scroll. After searching in the wrong pocket for a few minutes, he finds it in the other. He pulls it out and holds it out, preferring one of the wizards invokes the spell.
Thallan: Xandar’s communication comes to you telepathically, like radio waves that you are somehow able to decipher. What you learn is that there is something on the very edge of his senses, two small forms in the direction of the black ridge, about 80 ft away from you all. At the moment they’re still, but Xandar seems to think they are creatures of some sort.
Nean turns to Ava. "Whatever information you have about this place probably succeeds our level of knowledge. Do you believe we should try and approach the creatures roaming this place or is it safe to say whats comin at us is hostile?"
Before reaching out to take the scroll from Ospos, Ava turns to Nean "I don't believe it would be safe to approach those creatures, no. Being that we're on the surface, they could simply be undead, or they could possibly be worse." Ava's brow darkens as she says this last part.
Receiving the scroll from Ospos, Ava takes a moment before activating it.
"Hello Lah'thys, this is Avalokitesvara. I need some help locating Verrina, and possibly your headquarters, here in the Shadowfell."
Clermar looks a bit nauseated and clears his throat. "Whoo boy, I don't think I'm gonna get used to that."He pulls out his longbow from his shoulder, "Which way are these things?"
Ospos: (little lore discrepency: there actually aren’t many tales of the Shadowfell at all. Being well versed in stories and myths, you’d maybe have heard it mentioned in obscure mythology, archaic literature kinda stuff. And in this canon, the Feywild and Shadowfell don’t mirror the material plane exactly)
Clermar looks where Void indicated and scans the sky. He looks over hearing Ospos and Liafial, "Huh, oh right." He lowers his bow, "Sorry, this place just has me a bit jumpy."
Ava: There is a pause as you wait for the telepathic response. It takes a few seconds longer than you expect, but finally a deep voice comes through. "What? Averina? Look I- hng" her thoughts are interrupted by a mental grunt of pain. "I'm kinda busy. You're a Bounder yeah? Just find the road and take it through the woods, Ashstone is about a day away. Grrah!" another pause, you get the sense that she must be in a battle currently, but the spell ends before she can say anything else.
Thallan: Xandar seems agitated, and he communicates that whatever is out there is getting closer. You strain to see what they could be, but there is no movement or change in the rocky grey expanse.
"It would seem that Lah'thys is....indisposed at the moment. But she said that we should find the road and follow it through a woods into Ashstone, which will be about a day away."
Ava then steps closer to the group, preparing for the approaching encounter.
Ospos: While it would be a stretch to call it a road, you can just make out the faint lines of large flat stones, obscured by the dust, that seem to denote an intentional route towards the line of ominous trees.
"Head back into the air, let me know about any creatures coming and going around us. Stay safe, don't get close to any other creatures, just follow us."
Thallan starts to follow Ospos, while keeping his guard up.
Dril shuffles along, with the group. Removing a tanned piece of hide marked with a sigil, he begins a series of arm movements, pressing the leather against various joints and organs across his body, casting Mage Armor upon himself.
Nean follows as well, now falling back into his rather quiet patterns again. He covers his mouth with the cloth again and continously scans the area, checking if anything is trying to approach the group or hiding nearby.

Thallan indicates Ava,
"Perhaps Ava should use the scroll, as the rest of us don't have any history with the bounders yet."
Thallan then talks to Xandar,
"Could I ask you to do a quick bit of a scout around our immediate area, my little friend?"
Xander fly's up into the air and circles the group a couple of times, using his blindsight and superior hearing to try to detect anything of interest.

"We may have company."
Thallan indicates the direction of the two possible creatures.
"Xandar reports he thinks he can sense two creatures about, maybe 80 feet, in that direction."
Xandar lands back on Thallan's shoulder, chittering happily.
