Kitaer will do some quick negotiating for some meat before we wander off. Once again, just enough for a stew that would last the full team a couple of days. "One of your better meats, if you will. We're not quite accustomed to rats yet. No offense..."
Stasyn follows Daryos to the tavern to check on the girl. "I agree we should try to follow one these minions that seem to look very vaguely like me." He ignores the vegetables.
Evidently shifting to revisiting the Wet Weasel first, Nesyax puts away her papers for mapping since she'd already taken care of this part. Though she'll try to keep an eye out just to be certain what she had was right.
She then realized that they also had to wait for Kitaer to negotiate the purchase of some meat.
Bored, she starts to poke around the general vicinity. Specifically, she will look for any spots that might harbor snakes, as she hadn't seen any (save Stasyn's familiar) since they arrived.
(Maybe Perception to look? I'll roll something else if needed. Perception Check: 22)
Kitaer knocks on the door of the butcher shortly after it closes. After negotiating a deal for some meat, the figure behind the door disappears for a moment before returning. The meat is wrapped neatly and handed through the door (Ration prices). He doesn't tell you what type of meat it is and there isn't any indication as to what type of meat it is exactly... but it looks to be of good quality.
As the group makes their way down the road towards the Wet Weasel, you hear the faint sounds of growling. As the group gets closer... a few sickly looking people scurry out the front door... looking worriedly over their shoulder as the loud growling and barking can be heard echoing through the partially destroyed tavern. Stepping inside, it is clear that the commotion is coming from upstairs.
Hearing the barking and sounds of commotion, the young white-haired noble assumes Sara might be in trouble, and he hurries upstairs, but Kitaer at least would likely beat him to it.
Kitaer indeed leads the way, following the sound of the barking but fully expecting it to lead to Sara's room upstairs. He doesn't want to look overly threatening just yet so he doesn't draw his axe but he is rushing ahead with his head down, ready to use his horns if need be.
As Kitaer expected, he rounds the corner at the top of the stairs and finds a dog wearing a bandana barking and growling furiously at the door where Sara was staying. Blood and drool are dripping from the fang filled mouth of the rabid dog as it barks wildly. Deep claw marks are visible in the door and splinters of wood can be seen protruding from the dogs paws and mouth. The dog is relentlessly trying to get through the door and as it thrashes wildly against the door, tufts of hair fly through the air to reveal lesions similar to what you have seem covering the bodies of the infected.
With a sad shake of his head, Kitaer rushes forward and charges towards the dog. Bending at the waist and swinging his shoulders and turning his head in a specific way, Kitaer aims his horns at the hound.
Goring Rush: 18 to hit for 9 damage, though Kitaer would have been trying more to knock the mutt out than kill it, if possible. It may indeed need be put down but if so Sara should get a chance to say goodbye if possible.
Assuming the dog is down and out, one way or the other, Kitaer then raps lightly on the door. "Sara? You ok?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Unless Kitaer manages to put down the rabid mutt, Daryos fires his crossbow to finish it off. It is with some reluctancy but he is not about to risk his team getting infected if he can avoid it.
OOC: I really apologize Nesyax! I didn't forget about you! i just forgot to actually reply? I guess that isn't much better!
Before arriving at the Wet Weasel, Nexyax looks around for snakes or anything that may be interesting while waiting for Kitaer. Being an urban area, the chances of finding a snake are not great, but there are plenty of weeds and growing up around buildings and along the cobblestone streets have have not been maintained for at least a year. You notice that where the vegetable vendor is growing his crops, you assume once stood a building that had since burned to the ground. the dirt and soil is in fact still stained black with ash where the crops grow. Realizing that rodents eat crops and snakes eat rodents, you walk along the edge of the small makeshift farm and do spot a small snake slithering between crops.....
Kitaer charges the ravenous dog. The hulking minotaur's hooves bite into the wooden floorboards, kicking up splinters as dust falls from the rafters above with every step. The hound turns to bares its teeth towards the minotaur just before his horns slam into the creature. Kitaer hears the sound of cracking bone as his horns slam into the ribs of the creature and toss it off into the distance. The creature lands with a loud yip and a thud a few feet away. A couple seconds pass and the creature doesn't move. The bandana that was around its neck drifts to the floor, landing at Kitaer's feet. The party notices that while the minotaur did not gore the dog... there is a trickle of blood running down his horn from having raked against the lesion covered beast...
OOC: Not sure if Kitaer can actually see the tips of his horns or not... a lot depends on how long they are and the way they are angled. I will let Kitaer decide if he notices this.
When Kitaer knocks on the door, he can hear crying on the other side of the locked door.

"Wait, be careful, blood on your horns..."Daryos says, quickly stepping closer to the massive Minotaur, using his sorcerous magic to clean his horns of the infected blood.
Cast Prestidigitation.
Meanwhile he calls out to Sara beyond the door. "It is just us, from yesterday. Tulip is taken care of." He says in a calm and comforting tone.
Stasyn comes up the stairs after hearing the mighty crash from Kitaer and seeing the grisly scene he takes out his wand and flings a blue fire bolt at Tulip. Its best we expunge any dead infected. Daryos can do the talking.
If the fire begins to get out of hand, he will snuff it out with prestidigitation.
The dog bursts into flames, sending black smoke rolling upwards and out of the building through the opening in the roof. The fire struggles to stay lit as the hair burns away but a few additional firebolts results in a fairly charred corpse and a scorched section of flooring. The smell of burning hair and flesh begins to fill the air outside of Sara's door.
Kitaer turns and glares at Stasyn. "You could've let her say goodbye first you eejit!" he whisper hisses to him. Kitaer then looks to Daryos and then to the door and then back again. He shrugs and then motions Daryos to the door. "You talk to her... I don't know what to say..."
"I share your concern about spreading of the plague Stasyn, but I have to agree with Kitaer on this."Daryos says quickly and quietly to the Verdan but then giving them both anod to let it go. He then steps closer to the door to speak to the girl on the other side. "Yes, I'm afraid he had to be put down, I'm so sorry Sara, I understand he meant the world to you but I think you noticed the plague had made Tulip rabid and dangerous to you."He says with sincere compassion for the girl. "Can we do anything for you before we leave again Sara?"
Vesna stays behind the guys, clutching at her own hands, unsure of what to do. She hadn't expected the dog to be so sick, why did she not pay attention last night?
The cleric clears her throat and then whispers to Daryos. "I think we need to see her. Maybe cover her dog with a sheet or something..."

You hear some muffled shuffling behind the door and then the faint click of the door unlocking. Through the door, the young girl replies. "I... I noticed that Tulip had sores like me... not long after you left. Then... by this morning she.. she looked so bad. We went to go look for more to eat and she just... she want herself anymore." The voice goes and the sobbing starts once more. "I didn't... I didn't even know I could give it to her."
