Kitaer hadn't noticed the drunkard was the vegetable seller at all. He would have tried to help him if he had, or at least acknowledged him, as he was trying to be friendly with the guy as he felt he probably knew more than some others. An opportunity lost to strengthen the bond, perhaps, but not having noticed him Kitaer doesn't even realize that.
Kitaer grunts as he tosses the Faevlin over his shoulder during the pit-stop. "I'll try not to bump you around much," he says consolingly to the tied up hostage. Once the hostage is secured and the goods going back to the bar clarified and sorted, Kitaer is happily following the barkeep again and headed to the boat. As Leadbelly is swinging the colorful lure around Kitaer elbows a couple of the others asking "That magical or just a signal?" in a hushed voice.
"You're gunna get wet now," he later tells the hostage. "Don't worry, I'll keep your head above water so long as you don't fight me, eh?" There's a couple of bumps and bangs as Kitaer situates both himself and the hostage into the water and under the boat. Kitaer apologizes any time there is some roughness, really doing his best to not be violent.
"It doesn't get too deep, does it?" Kitaer asks a bit apprehensively once they're crowded under the boat.
Oh Selune, what are we going to do now. Vesna worriedly casts glances left and right, obviously not very comfortable with the whole shady situation, but seeing that the rest of the group don't mention anything or react in any way, she bites her lip and nods to herself for some internal courage, before getting herself under the boat.
For some reason, she remembers of the girl in the abandoned tavern that she tried to heal and makes a note to try and check on her when they get back.

"The deal was for 5... adding a... Hostage could make things more difficult. You may need to hold your breath." The dwarf says to Daryos as the group pile under the upsidown boat. Leadbelly then opens his pack and pulls two thick leather belts covered with heavy lead plates and attaches them to the two bodyguards waists. He then attaches his men to the rope before looking to the group. "OK, I'm only going to say this once, so listen up. You grab the rope you and don't let go. If you let go of the rope, you are on your own." The dwarf grumbles as he places heavy pack onto his back. "We are going to walk into the water. We will walk UNDER the water. You will need to keep your head up inside the boat. The air inside should last us long enough to get ashore on the other side of the wall... But i would recommend ya not push your luck. Take short breaths and stay calm.... Just keep hold of the rope and stay under the boat."
With a final nod, the dwarf motions the group to pile under the boat as the two large guards stomp their way into the water. The two large men struggle to maneuver the boat until it settles on top of the water. For a moment the men relax until they change from pushing the boat upwards to now helping to pull the boat downwards.
The frigid dark water stings your flesh as you make your way into the churning sea. Sunlight fails to pierce the dark water and the party finds themselves in complete darkness. The sound of waves crashing on the top of the boat slowly disappear as you begin your slow slog into the ocean. Occasionally the current will push or pull the party, threatening to suck them out into the surrounding ocean. Seconds feel like hours as the air inside the boat quickly becomes hot and stale. It is rapidly getting harder to breath when the sound of giggling breaks the silence under the water. The hooded hostage doesn't move but the unsettling giggle from the creature sounds even more sinister within the confined space....
OOC: Can i get an athletics check and a con save from each member of the group please as you describe what your character is doing as you make your way into the dark waters and how you are handling the dark, cold, and cramped journey as you feel the the cool air in the boat slowly dissipate as your party breathes...

Daryos is not happy at all with this arrangement but it felt too late to back out on the deal now and they really needed to get to that Bone Collector even though he found it harder and harder to believe this particular venture would prove profitable in the end considering all the team already had to go through to get this far. The young noble does his best to keep his calm and composure in the cold water. He was no stranger to being wet but the limited amount of air admittedly made him feel somewhat uneasy. He hoped dealing with the Bone Collector could garner them enough goodwill to at least not having the need for this exercise ever again.
Trudging through the water is not the worst thing in the world. But it is certainly not how Nesyax thought she would be spending part of her day. She looks at the barkeeper, a bit upset at his lack of candor. She grits her teeth, and sets to making it through this trip. As the voayge goes on and on, she starts to wonder just how wise the addition of the stupid creature was. Yet again, dragging this thing along with them! But no use getting upset, so she tries to just focus on making it through.
Stasyn sucks in a breath of air sharply at how cold the water is and over time his extremities are starting to feel numb. He is utterly disgusted by this situation. The stale air grates on his nerves, but he cannot exactly head back now can he. So, he holds on to the rope as tightly as possible. The laugh from the Faevlin is like nails on a chalkboard "Shut him up or I will" snaps Stasyn.
Kitaer takes it all in stride, showing no bother with getting wet or the claustrophobic conditions or darkness. His only real hassle was carrying the faevlin and trying to ensure they don't cause the entire boat to tip over or something. Shaking the creature doesn't seen to diminish it's constant giggling and Kitaer tried dunking him under water once but the struggling worries him as he's unsure how temperamental the air-water-boat balance is...

Vesna tries her best to hold onto the rope and not think about the million ways things could go wrong. What is out here in the water? Where are we going? Did something just touch my leg?!!!!!!. If something were to happen and the relatively safe space of the boat would be taken away from them, how far is the surface, would she be able to make it there in one piece? To think that she was just feeling a tiny bit positive earlier in the morning... The boat, isolating the rest of the sounds under the water feels a bit too small at times, but she tries to focus on her breathing that comes a bit more shallow and shaky than she intends, and ignore the unnerving giggles coming from the faevlin. "Ummm, how much more...?" she whispers in the darkness and relative silence, not sure if she wants to know the answer.

After being dunked under the frigid waters, The Faevlin does eventually quiet down. The sinister giggling is temporarily replaced with deafening silence. Only the sound of rapid breathing can be heard as the party pushes forward. The air within the boat is quickly becoming hot, sticky, and stale as the amount of oxygen in the air deteriorates. Eventually the silence is broken by Leadbelly as he reaches a free hand up and knocks on the side of the boat. "We're half way now... " He says coldly as the two muscular figures turn the boat before continuing forward.
Kitaer, Nesyax, and Daryos find themself shivering in the cold and stinging water. The three of them feel less bothered by the rough churning sand as their arms and legs begin to go numb with the cold (Future ability checks / saves will be made at disadvantage)
The group knows that being halfway around the wall also means that they are at the farthest point from the shore. As the group starts pushing their way through the second half of the journey, an unseen force slams into the side of the boat. Vesna and Daryos lose their grip on the rope in the darkness and are pushed out from underneath the only source of oxygen within the dark swirling waters.
OOC: So without any light sources, it may be hard for certain members of the team to notice of other members have disappeared from within the boat. Let me know if you try to catch your companions as they slip out into the darkness or if they are blissfully unaware. In the case of Kitear, I assume he has one hand on the rope and one hand holding the Faevlin, so he would have to make a decision to either drop the rope or drop the faevlin if he wanted to grab one of the companions. If you don't have darkvision, you can roll a perception check to determine if you would notice them being pushed out from under the boat if you wish. Those of you that are shivering from the cold will make any Athletics / acrobatics checks to grab the boat or their companions at disadvantage.
Kitaer grunts as the boat is knocked from outside and he knocks it from the inside in response by shoving the Faevlin roughly against the side of the boat. It's all the Minotaur can do to keep himself upright and a grip on the prisoner, any turbulence he feels he blames on that and is totally oblivious to any dire straits his companions may be in.
With her mind wandering in all sorts of directions and worries, Vesna doesn't seem to notice that at some point her hands have stopped holding tight onto the rope but instead just merely touch it. Her absent-mindedness doesn't go unpunished - as something heavy hits the boat, the rope disappears from under her fingers and the force of the impact pushes her around, making her stumble and fall from under the boat into the deep sea. Everything happens so fast that in one moment she is breathing the stuffy air and in the next she finds herself surrounded by the bubbles of her own breath.
With rising panic, the cleric looks around (is she going to notice Daryos?), focusing on the boat moving away from her and attempts to get back there (let me know if you need a roll).
//if Nesyax manages to catch Vesna
But before she manages to get into a complete state a panic, something grips her arm - a hand!, Nessy's hand! and stops her from further drifting away from the group.

Vesna is able to take Nesyax's hand and is quickly pulled back inside the underwater boat. Her face and hair are drenched with icy water and here eyes and nose burn from being suddenly flushed with saltwater. He is at least safe within the boat for now.
Daryos tumbles into the dark water and realizes he is no longer within the boat and cannot feel the rope to guide him. He knows he was bit pushed far but in the darkness he isn't sure which direction to go to get back to the boat.
ooc: Daryos you can hold your breath for 1+ your constutution modifier minutes. You can either move up up to the surface or you can describe how you are going to try to find the boat back in the dark churning waters. every round of checks searching or swimming will take 6 seconds. The boat will continue to move alone the rope and so the longer it takes to find the boat the fsrther away from you it could move. You could also succeed in finding the rope and attempt to follow it back to the boat... so long as you don't follow it into the wrong direction.
Daryos all but panics as he somehow loses his grip on the rope, cursing himself for this possibly lethal mistake, knowing he is not a good swimmer and wondering if he should have had agreed to make this quite dangerous trip. If he survived this he would have words with the dwarf about the survival expectancy of his secret exit from the city. He was cold and his clothes didn't make his swimming any easier. It seemed hopeless to find the boat in the dark churning waters. He would be lucky if he could find his way back to the surface now...
Daryos struggles in the deep cold darkness. His waterlogged clothes act like weights on his already cold limbs as he struggles to make any meaningful movements in the churning water....
The dwarf and his bodyguards continue moving forward as if they either don't notice the missing member of their expedition, or they simply don't care...
(OOC - So, does Stasyn notice Daryos lost hold of the rope? Can Stasyn try to grab him?)
Nesyax keeps hold of Vesna until she is sure that she has hold of the rope once again. Without letting go, she tries to nudge Stasyn and point out their decisioner has lost his hold.
Yes Stasyn would have noticed that Daryos is missing along with Nesyax. anyone that scored above a 10 on the perception check notices that the two of them had disappeared from the boat. That means Nesyax also noticed but could only grab one at once.
