Vesna studies the contents of the desk, but doesn't find anything too interesting, apart from maybe the pages under the journal. After a short consideration, she collects them, along with the journal, so she can look through it again later. Maybe Mr. Weaselton has written something else that could be of use, who knows.
"Maybe the second idea... in case there are more spiders upstairs..." the cleric responds to the minotaur with a slight tremor, clearly not wanting to face some giant spiders on her own.

"We should stay together for now I think..."The decisioner says to the others with a firm tone. "...taking the time we need to bring wjhat we've found, including some ale, back to our base. The we investigate the upper floor together. There could be more threats up there after all." He says, ready to carry things back. "And to be clear, you can keep that necklace if it is useful for casting your spells but everything we find belongs to the team until we decide to pay out shares to team members, but we have to consider the A.I. fee too." He says to Stasyn before resuming his work.
"The pearl is for a spell called identify though I cannot cast it at the moment I plan to add such a spell to my repertoire in the future." says Stasyn. He looks to the heavy barrels of wine and shakes his head "I will leave the barrels to the stronger members of our company. I am ready to head back."
The group collects what they can carry, stuffing smaller valuables and useful items in bags and backpacks while carrying other larger items such as the kegs on their shoulders. Due to the size and length of the bed, it requires two people working together to remove from the basement and carry back to the HQ. As you make your way upstairs, you immediately notice that there is a little less light shining through the hole in the ceiling as the day drags on.
Moving outside the tavern, you look towards the guardhouse. Two men wearing long leather hooded coats and gloves can be seen pulling the corpse of the infected man away from the city gate. The corpse is being dragged by rusty iron chains with hooks on the end that dig into the clothes and flesh of the recently deceased. One of them looks your direction and gives you all a slight nod from behind his long beak-like mask. The two individuals almost resemble ravens as they move down the road with the corpse behind them.
The recent additions to the quarantine zone have not wandered far. Some of the new arrivals are sitting in the streets while others look for places to take shelter... moving from building to building looking for unlocked doors. One person can be seen negotiating a deal through a slot in the door at the butcher shop you passed earlier.
Kitaer sets up the large unmanageable kegs slowly dripping into smaller kegs before they start their first trek back to home base. "Do we have a way to secure the door?" he asks Daryos and anyone else listening. "Be a shame if we fought off the spiders just for others to swoop in and pick the place clean before we have a chance to..." But Kitaer doesn't allow himself to worry about it overmuch. They have made a good haul of it today even if they gather no further goods so he reminds himself not to be overly greedy...
But his good nature dwindles a bit at Stasyn's excuse for taking the pearl necklace as his own personal property. Jumping quickly for the valuables but shirking from the hard work. Kitaer thinks with a furrow of his brow but says nothing further on the matter. If the Decisioneer is good with it then who is he to argue?
Kitaer of course volunteers to carry the bulk of the bulk. Large of frame and thick of muscles (and perhaps of head, sometimes, he must admit... even if just to himself) he can't very well find an excuse not to take on the majority of the physical laboring. "I don't like the looks of them," Kitaer growls upon seeing the little robed and masked creeps dragging away the sick. "Maybe it needs doing but they don't have to look so damn creepy doing it... Do they?"
Quickly afterwards Kitaer spies the recently evicted sickies and can't help but feel a bit bad for them... And for wanting to stay far away from them. He wouldn't be surprised to see if they beat the group back to the Wet Weasel, or whatever it was called... But then again they probably have a much bigger need for whatever is left than he himself does. Though... and he feels a bit bad about this... it won't stop him from taking what he wants for himself.
Vesna helps with whatever needs helping to be carried back to the old temple.
As the witness the scene unfolding at the city gate, she visibly shivers. "D-do you think these are the Morbid Doctore?" she whispers, too unsettled at that has transpired. "Or maybe they are just... normal medics but taking precautions... for the plague..." she adds, not wanting to sound too negative, although her voice carries her scepticism.

Nesyax isn't really strong at all but carries as much as she's able. She tries to move quickly, saying to the others. "I really think we should take a look upstairs before the daylight is completely gone. Think we can check most of it if we are quick about it." She watches the strangely dressed hooded men moving the dead but doesn't really have any comment on them.
Stasyn stares as the recent dead is dragged away. "It might be uncomfortable to watch but it has to be done. We can't just leave the dead where they fall. They all should be burned thoroughly. They could indeed be Morbid Doctores but I have no mind to introduce myself right now" He then looks over the newcomers "These poor peasants with no resources are doomed to die. I doubt that Butcher will look too kindly on them. As for a lock I believe the 2 strapping fellows in front would deter any would be thieves. Though we are pretty much doing the same looting what we can from the tavern. Let's just hurry back." He then quickly walks back to their new home.
As you make your way back to the HQ, the shadows grow longer and the figures in the alleys seem to have disappeared. It isn't a long walk back to Ren, but it takes longer that when you left due to having to carry back your loot. A few of the new arrivals watch you all very closely as you head towards the old church.
When you arrive back at the church, Hank and Dean stand guard by the door. They don't say a word and you would almost think they were statues or scarecrows if it wern't for them occasionally shifting their weight on their feet on occasion. The large wooden doors are locked and after you give them a hard knock, you hear the sounds of a heavy board being lifted and moved away. A moment later, the door opens slightly and the lizardfolk sticks his head outside. "Good... you have returned. No one is sick right? What have you brought me?" He askes as his eyes dart from person to person.
Inside you can see that he has done a little more cleaning and organizing. Some crates have been opened and filled with trash while others have had useful items pulled out and sorted. "So... where did you go? Did you find out more about the Bone Collector guy?"He asks with a look of both concern and interest. "You don't have many hours left before dark, and you don't want to be out after dark..."
"Good thinking Kitaer, but if we just go back after leaving what we acquired so far I doubt we will find the Wet Weasel looted before we do."The young white-haired noble answers the massive minotaur with an acknowledging nod.
"They do look sinister..."Daryos agrees with Kitaer as the Morbus Doctore leaves with the corpse. "...but maybe that is the point, making clear these are bad things they are dealing with."
"And no, I'm fairly sure this would be the so called Morbus Doctore." He says to Vesna with a grim nod. "Better keep our distance to them and their activities for now, although we should probably try to find out more about them and their agenda here."
"Yes, we're going back as soon as we have dropped this off." He says to Nesyax with an encouraging nod. "Hopefully we will have a bed each before nightfall." He adds with a grin.
"Just leave what you brought here inside and we'll sort things out later."Daryos tells the team as they get back inside the old church, then turning to their Major Domo. "We went to find some beds and supplies at the tavern, had to fight quite a few arachnids over it but we're all okay. We will go back for more beds now though but we will be back before dark. And we haven't found the opportunity to learn anything about this collector of bones but that will simply have to wait til tomorrow."He explains to Ren, leaving for him to start organizing what has been brougt back while he motions for Kitaer to lead the team back to the second floor of the Wet Weasel.
The lizardfolk's eyes get a bit larger at the mention of fighting spiders.... "How big of spiders are we talking about? If the spiders are still fresh you should see if you can extract any useful bits from them.... You can use their venom sacks to make poison you know... assuming you don't damage them in the process that is." He then proceeds to start taking the items that are being delivered and moving them around the room for the time being. "Don't be too long.. be back before night fall alright?"He says with a nod.
Kitaer drops off the distillery supplies and the bed and the case of mugs and the unopened but dirty bottles or mead as well as the dead and other documents from the bar. He keeps the pistol, bullets, gunpowder horn and the diamond rings and golden chalices from the Wet Weasel on him for now, though. Quite frankly he doesn't know their new Major Domo all that well yet so trust isn't fully formed so far.
"I'm not scared of the dark," he grumbles a bit to himself at the caution. "Night air never made me sick before..." Otherwise he is ready to head out and garner more loot.
OOC: feel free to interact with Ren or RP what you do as you stop by HQ for a moment, I am just going to make the next post because I am in a position to add the picture.
As you all make your way back to the Wet Weasel, you step back inside the partially collapsed building. Some of the newcomers watch from a distance as they try to determine what you are all doing. Heading inside, you make your way up the stairs past more paintings of weasels holding mugs of ale in different locations and positions. Once at the top of the stairs, you see rays of sunlight shining down upon the pile of debris in the center of the room. A few seagulls are perched on the room and look down at the party from above before flying away.
Looking around, you see many wooden doors connected to a walkway that overlooks the first floor of the tavern. You imagine people would lean against these railings and listen to music being played down below or perhaps just watch the people as they enjoyed their evenings. Each of the doors has a brass number attached to them. Some of the doors are hanging open while others are closed. The numbered rooms start with number 1 to the right as you reach the top of the stairs and count upwards as they move counterclockwise around the second floor. The door to your left is number 11. You can see as you look across the empty center of the second floor that there is one door that is much larger than the others and has a silver 8 on the front.
OOC: Daryos remembers that the hook his silver key was hanging from had a number 8 on top of it..... OOC: Everyone give me a perception check as you describe your actions...
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Daryos gives Ren a skeptical look as the Major Domo suggests harvesting poison from the spiders. For him it would likely just be dangerous and while he had no scruples against using the means necessary to achieve his goals he hadn't imagined using poison. "If any of you feel like you could safely harvest and make use of the spider poison then by all means." He turns and says to the others with a firm nod.
As the team reaches the second floor of the Wet Weasel, the young white-haired noble scans the floor, quickly noticing the door to room number 8. "Let's start over there." He says to the minotaur, handing him the silver key to open the large door.
"Let's be methodical and go room to room and look in each before we get too involved in anything, eh?" Kitaer suggests with a look to Daryos. "There's people outside with eyes on us. They may scamble in and seize what they can once we exit so we want to be sure we're taking the most important items... to us. So assess first, then collect?"
"You know... making exceptions for small valuables and such, of course..."
With that, Kitaer will indeed start by heading north to what he considers the first room and checking the door. (This should be room 11?) He first checks to see if the door is open or not... If so, he opens it slowly and peeks inside. If not he looks to Daryos and asks "Force it or check all the open ones first?"
"Uh, oh... Ok," Kitaer agrees when Daryos would prefer to start somewhere else entirely. With a shrug he accepts and moves in that direction. (He was quicker on the post and I have no prob adapting to his idea...)
"Kitaer is right, we better hurry while there is something still worth looting. I will hang back as you search the rooms. As for the spiders I have no vials to hold the poison, and many were burned" says Stasyn as he will stay with the group but stays outside of the first room so he can know if some interloper decides to rush the stairs.
Nesyax isn't sure where to go as Daryos gives Kitaer the key to one room and the minotaur heads for a different room. "Well, this is all well-coordinated," she says. "Maybe someone should keep an eye out for anyone trying to snoop in on us here?" She keeps her eyes back down the stairs and listening for anything that might be coming from outside.
"You decide in which order we explore the rooms, we will follow you Kitaer." Daryos says with a firm nod to the massive minotaur that is leading the team on.
While the others are preparing to look through the upper floor, Vesna has decided to listen to Ren's advice and try to extract some spider venom. Now that the creatures are dead and she has been in the basement before, the cleric doesn't feel as scared as before, plus she has brought some vials from Waterdeep, that will hopefully be sufficient. Perhaps the two huge spiders that were closest to the stairs will have enough venom to collect, and then she can go back upstairs to join the others.
