"That's his full name?" Kitaer says with some surprise. "Huh."
"Well the potables are yours," Kitaer agrees shaking the man's hand. "You know right enough what we have so I guess we don't need to be telling you where to pick them up from."
Nesyax gives a shocked look as Amber described the 'faevlin'. "That does sound like quite scarry!" she replies. As Larry starts his performance, she sings along to the song. And then listens to his upbeat tunes after. When she gets a chance she asks the ladies, "What about some creature that collects bones? Someone was telling me about it. Think that's just one of those faevlin things? Or some other terrible creature?"
"So, I think we're quite ready to listen to you telling us all that you know now."The young white-haired noble says to the burly Dwarf with a hint of impatience now, taking a swig of his ale.
"All right... Normally I prefer payment up front... but I suppose I'm feeling generous on account of the occasion." he says before gesturing towards his daughter who now has cake crumbs spread across her face.
The dwarf leans on the bar and glances around before whispering. "First, you mentioned the Morbus Doctore... We just call them the plague doctors around here. They are a faction full of insane power hungry healers and survivors of the plague who's minds got fried from fever..." He whispers while tapping his head. "They worship a creature called the Filthgrazer that they believe created the weeping pox. Rumor has it that the old leaders of Liesech had a deal with the Filthgrazer that lead to the prosperity of Liesech. Then when Analita von Raiza came to town and slaughtered the Bouwengracht-Familiy, she took control of the city and broke the deal with the Filthgrazer. In return the Filthgrazer released the pox to destroy the city." He then scratches his beard and glances around the room once more, making sure no one else is listening to their conversation. "The only reason they are tolerated is because they are the only ones with a cure. With enough coin or a great personal debt, you can get vial or the cure... but no one has been able to dissect the potion to determine how to reproduce it. If someone could steal the recipe for the cure, they could easily become the richest man in Etharis... or the savior of Etharis if they were more of a noble sort I suppose." He then lets out a small sigh before continuing. "Anyway, they work our of the Crows nest built into the wall that seperates us from the rest of the City. Going through there is one of the ways someone could get from here to their without using the main gate. Normally once folks are dropped off here, they are not expected to ever leave. The assumption is that we will all succumb to illness or kill eachother. This place is essentially a prison now more than anything else... but as you can see some of us are able to scrape together a living." He then holds out his arm showing off his scars. "If you see someone with scars like this... that means we survived the pox and we cannot get it again. you would think that honest folks covered in scars would be able to rejoin Liesech, but they have been dumping so many criminals in here that they don't know who's who anymore. The percentage of folks that survive is so low that once you are here... you are stuck here unless you can either bribe the guard... earn their favor... or sneak your way inside."
After a few moments he nods to a few of the patrons sitting at tables near the door. They make their way close to the bar and sort of stand nearby as though creating a wall between the conversation you all are having and the rest of the room. "I suppose that leads me into the second thing you mentioned.... The Bone Collector. He has a lair not far from the outer wall of the quarantine zone probably an hour or so walk. If you manage to kill him, you could use that as leverage to get you and your friends out of here and setup shop inside LIesech. Now you could follow some of creatures he sends out to collect bones for him after dark, and if yer sneaky enough they could lead you to his lair. Or... I could help you get out of the city and offer you a way to find his lair in the daylight. The bone collector and his minions are most active during the night. An attack during the day would make life much easier for you... of course... there is an additional cost to secure my services in assisting you to get out of the Quarantine zone... and a small fee if you want a map to his location as well." The dwarf then leans in close and turns his body so that the side missing an arm is facing the two men. "If you go against the bone collector... It's best to have every advantage you can. He isn't one to take lightly." As he gestures towards the missing limb. You notice that where his arm should be you can see an awkward bulge hidden under the folded sleave of his shirt. He then looks around to ensure that no one other than Kitaer and Daryos can see him before he unfolds the sleave of his shirt and with his free arm, pulls what looks like a limp scar covered snake from inside the sleave of his shirt. It falls on to the counter of the bar and you see that it is his arm, but missing ALL of the bones inside. The limb resembles a deflated fleshy balloon of sorts and twitches slightly as it lays upon the table.
Kitaer takes this all in but does his best to show no reaction. When the bartender is finished Kitaer mulls the words over for a bit and looks to Daryos wondering what his intentions were. He wasn't exactly an open book though, probably a good thing for a decisioneer...
"We'll have to discuss with the others before deciding," Kitaer finally says, as much to Daryos as the bartender. "But if there is interest... What would be the cost for your additional services?"
Stasyn surmises that his comrades must have discovered something as their conversation continues. He leaves his table and moves closer to Daryos and Kitaer to see what the hub bub is about. He does not notice the mangled limb, but he eavesdrops from nearby.
After having attentively listened to the burly Dwarf, the young white-haired noble nods in agreement with the Minotaur and takes another swig of his ale as he casually leans back against the bar. He then discreetly motions to Stasyn, Vesna and Nesyax that he is ready to leave to make plans on how to find the Bone Collector. The possibility to leave the quarantine zone was tempting indeed, but now he felt himself somehow responsible for the fate of the girl at the Wet Weasel, and maybe even dealing with this plague too. Perhaps it would be good business to do that though, it could certainly garner the franchise a good reputation.
Amber looks to Nesyax and shakes her head. "Faevlin love to collect trinkets and things from those they kill but not normally bones." She then taps her lip with her finder and thinks a moment. "lots of monsters are interested in. ones for one reason or another. I have read a lot of books about a lot of monsters so maybe if I had some more information I could help provide more information".
Leadbelly grins and looks to the minotaur. "10 gold pieces for the map, and 20 gold per person that needs snuck out of the quarantine zone." The dwarf says while quickly tucking his limp limb back into his shirt.
Kitaer is ready to depart as Daryos suggests and discuss this all with the others. He thinks the price for the map may be a bit much considering they have their own cartographer though perhaps let them decide how much value would be in someone else's map? Twenty gold per person seems extreme and would add up quickly if the first trip wasn't a success and they had to repeat it. The viability of getting in and out themselves needs be discussed first... As well as the idea of just having a couple snuck in and out to learn that routine and then repeating it on their own. But these are matters to discuss outside of strangers earshot...
Once leaving Kitaer does point out that they forgot to check the pile of dead bodies they left outside the Weasel when they emptied it. He suggests they swing by there to at least spy that out and see if the bone collectors have been there or not. If not, it may be a good place to stake out looking for them...
Vesna wishes the girl happy birthday again, then adds "If you need your doll whole again some day, I can fix it for you, " with a smile, before leaving the girl to her celebrations and getting back to Daryos and Kitaer to see if it is time to leave yet.

Nesyax smiles at Amber's response. "Well, those faevlin certainly don't sound like the bone collecting creature!" She then pauses, "I don't really have a lot of other information to tell you about the thing. Just heard stories that this bone collector creature sends out minions to collect bones around here."
If the group is ready to depart, a wiry looking elf moves to the door and un-bars it, allowing the group to make their way outside. The doll-like figure is still at his post and he gives the group a small wave.
((Kitaer would like to swing by Weasel to check the bodies he threw out the windows of the rooms. If there, they could be a good place to stake out to see if bone collector comes for them... Beyond that, I believe we have nothing on the agenda except a tour of the area to map it out and see whats what...?))
Unless other activities are suggested, Daryos would decide according to Kitaer's plan, passing by outside the Wet Weasel as the team make the tour of the rest of the quarantine zone, particularly paying attention to the Crow's Nest, any weak points in the outer wall where the minions of the Bone Collector might come and go, and finally along the water to see if that would be a viable way to exit the quarantine zone or not.
Nesyax was continuing to watch Larry perform and chat with the charming murder ladies. It was only at the last moment that she happened to notice the rest of the group had nearly all left already. "Ah! My pardons, but I suppose I must be getting on from here. It was lovely to meet you Amber. And you as well Ebony." She starts to stand and gather up her things. "Do hope I'll run into you two again sometime. I'm sure I'll be back to the tavern!"
As she heads for the door, she casts a glance over to Leadbelly, hesitating a moment. She'd hoped to speak with him, but with everyone already outside, she decides it's best to hurry after them. 'Another time,' she thinks. She gives Larry a tiny wave then a smile and nod to the elf that mans the door heading out. Outside, she locates the others and follows after them.
As Nesyax moves to leave the table, Amber takes her hand and gives it a small pat as the two women wish you well. Larry gives you a smile and a wink as you make your way outside with your companions.
Outside the sun is still shining brightly and a cool breeze from the sea seems to disperse some of the wretched smell that has been lingering around the quarantine zone. As you look down the road towards the sea, you can see a few small piers that are mostly destroyed and can also see the faint outline of guards patrolling where the wall meets the sea. The wall actually extends out into the ocean nearly 50ft, and upon the outer most point of the wall you see a ballista pointing towards the piers. You assume that it is used to prevent boats from entering or leaving the quarantine zone.
Making your way towards the Wet Weasel, Kitaer directs the group towards where he left the corpses from the day before. He notices that only one body remains, and it appears to be missing all of its bones. Any other bodies are missing entirely. You encounter a few sick folks roaming around and one lying motionless against a dilapidated building. You cannot tell if they are alseep or dead, but none of the other citizens seem to pay them any attention.
making your way from the Wet Weasel, you move pass the gate on your way to check out the Crow's nest. The guards on top of the wall watch the group with crossbows ready in their arms. As you look to the right, you can see a large cathedral build into the wall built to sperate Liesech from the quarantine zone. It appears to be very well maintained and a few figures wearing plague doctor attire can be seen passing through the large steel doors of the building. Before the group is able to head towards the Crow's nest however, you hear a yell from a guard waring a particularly ornate helm. "HEY! You! Yeah YOU! You mind coming over here and talking to us for a minute! I can't imagine you all have anywhere you need to be!" The guard captain shouts from behind the heavy metal bars of the city gate.
Seeing the one lone body remaining Kitaer frowns and shrugs. "Guess we should have stood watch last night. You did say the butcher leaves bones out though, right?" The minotaur also eyes the sleeper, or dead body, and gives half a thought to collecting the dead they find just laying around - now that the Weasel is full there's likely to be some in there soon enough, but he's not a mortician and the idea gives him a bit of a queasy feeling.
"Around the wall would be an option if we could breathe underwater," he idly suggests as they look at the docks and such but he doesn't really think this is an option. The invention of the snorkel is at least a few years away.
Kitaer's head turns swiftly as he hears someone calling out to them and as he sees it is guards he frowns a bit. No good comes from guards... Not the official kind. "We're actually in a bit of a rush," Kitaer calls back to the captain of the guard. "But if you want to come walk with us a bit you're more than welcome to join us over here..."
Nesyax shrugs as they check the bodies. "I'm sure there will be more if we want to try something tonight," she says casually. "I wonder why the other bodies were taken, but this one was left and just the bones are gone."
When they move along near the Crow's Nest, she is surprised to hear someone calling out. She really thinks he must be talking to someone else - probably one of the folks in the plague doctor attire. So, she's a bit surprised when Kitaer responds. She moves along slowly, as if to support his claim that the group is in a rush. She waits though to see what sort of response he'll get.
"I guess you'll have to settle for the various bottles you like hauled away if yer thirsty" The dwarf says as he extends his arm out for a handshake.
When Daryos clarifies who Render is, Mr. Leadbelly just gives a small nod in acknowledgement.
"That's his full name?" Kitaer says with some surprise. "Huh."
"Well the potables are yours," Kitaer agrees shaking the man's hand. "You know right enough what we have so I guess we don't need to be telling you where to pick them up from."
