Now that Token has pointed it out, everyone in the group can make out the faint rectangular outline in the two sections of wall. Anyone who wants to can try an Investigation check to figure out what it is and look for traps.
Perhaps due to being an air genasi, when Evara takes a closer look she also detects the faintest air flow around the edges of the rectangular sections of stone, and in a flash of insight realizes that they are hidden doors. They don’t appear to be trapped or have a locking mechanism, but the flow of air leads her to the correct point in the stone where pressure will cause the door to swing open.
Evara stands at the eastern door and while still holding her breath presses the point on the eastern door to open it. She motions to the group to come over but not get too close as she doesn’t know what lays beyond the door.
The door opens into a chamber. Seven odd humanoid skeletons, topped with draconic skulls, stand at attention along the walls, holding swords. At the back of the chamber is a large throne- like chair, currently empty, on a mahogany dais.
Ahh, Evara yells as she goes through the door and shares a warning with the others that going through the door may hurt them! After looking at the bones she then goes over to the throne-like chair and starts investigating, with her hands behind her back.
As Evara passes through the doorway a wave of fatigue washes over her and it looks to everyone else like she briefly stepped through a patch of shadow. Evara takes 2 necrotic damage.
As she approaches the nearest skeleton, Evara can see that there appears to be fine thread connecting the draconic skull and shoulders to the ceiling. Up close, the thread runs along the entire skeleton, holding the bones in place so it doesn’t collapse into a pile without the ligaments of a living creature.
Mavis heeds Evara's warning, standing near the right side of the door frame, she protrudes her left arm out, blocking the rest of the party from entering the room. Raising her torch with her right hand, she investigates as much of the macabre room as she can from the vantage point she's standing in.
Hana will follow the party as silently as possible as they open a secret door. Watching Evara going in without a second thought makes her rush to the door, only to be stopped by Mavis. Of course there is a trap. Hasnt she seen the skeletons? Hana points at Evara and whispers under her breath, only she will hear her.
"Evara, be careful. If something moves, hurry your ass to the door!" is what Evara will listen, knowing full well its some kind of magic words from Hana and that she may reply.
Mavis' torchlight illuminates the room, and she can see that passageways open into this chamber from the left and right. Looking closely at the opening of this secret door, there’s no visible mechanism for how it hurt Evara, no sign of a physical trap.
Evara's inspection of the throne reveals a panel in the seat has a disguised hinge. Once the torchlight pours into the chamber, she can also see that there appears to be a mechanism of springs barely visible through a gap along the edge of the panel.
Evara says “hey guys, it looks like there is a trap in this thrown. I’m going to try to investigate these passage ways to see if there is anything else here or a safer way to get out of this room.” Evara then turns to go down the passageways looks around for any clues or alternative ways out from the throne area.
Evara before going down the passage ways takes a minute to pray to Garl Glittergold for guidance and safety.
Mavis isn't about to leave someone behind. Whilst trying to perceive where the trap is coming from and what it's doing, she pulls a piece of hardtack out of her pack, and tosses it into the room, to gauge what happens to it.
Nothing seems to happen to the hardtack. When Evara passed through the doorway she seemed to step through a shadow, but the hardtack doesn't have the same effect. It appears to be normally lit by the torch for its entire arc.
Evara takes the passageway to her right, which enters a curved stone tunnel. With no light source of her own she relies on her darkvision, but within a few yards she sees the curving passageway wall is lit ahead by a flickering light from around the turn. She proceeds carefully forward....
And the rest of the party hears the clinking of chainmail get louder from the passageway ahead of them, until Evara appears around the turn. This passageway curves around in a spiral until it connects to the room on the other side of the first hidden door Mavis is standing at.
”Oh praise Garl! Hey guys if you go around this way there isn’t an issue. There is another tunnel the other way. I can show you around, let’s explore it!”
Token nearly jumped when he noticed a figure emerging from the passageway, but was relieved to see it was Evara. “Thank goodness yer safe! Looked like somethin’ strange happened when y’entered th’ door. Are y’sure yer alright?” Token asks Evara.
He then looks back at the frame Evara had previously went through. “This passage here’s a hazard. Maybe we should close off this door in case Brother Keefe wants t’ come down here on his own.”
Enzo follows the others, looking around curiously at their surroundings. Wondering at the purpose of the rooms, aside from trickery, this seems like an odd mausoleum.
"The dragon skulls are a little telling, aren't they?"
Token can easily close the secret door so that it is just as hidden as before.
If you're all following Evara back down the hallway as it spirals, you arrive in the throne room most of you had seen through the now-shut doorway. Six humanoid skeletons with draconic skulls line the walls on either side of the mahogany dais, while a seventh is positioned on the wall behind the throne but slightly to one side. Enzo and Mavis both instinctively interpret the last figure as a trusted bodyguard for whoever was meant to sit on the throne. All of the skeletons appear to be held together and suspended from the ceiling by thin but strong reddish-brown thread to give them the appearance of an honor guard standing at attention.
Evara points out the potentially trapped secret compartment in the seat of the throne to everyone.
Another passageway opens to the south. From the party's torchlight you can just make out that it opens into another large room after a few dozen feet but can't make out any further details while standing in the throne room, unless you have darkvision. Hana and Evara can make out a few tables in the other room with a number of items on them, but need to move closer to make out more details.

Mavis lets out a sigh of relief, and goes to meet Evara. "Lead the way" Mavis says with a smile. "I got your back." she continues reassuringly.
Oh, thanks Sune. Hana thinks as soon as Evara calls for them. She was worried as hell for her, seeing Evara going alone into trapped room.
"We trust your guidance, Evara. But next time lets stick together."
Token nearly jumped when he noticed a figure emerging from the passageway, but was relieved to see it was Evara. “Thank goodness yer safe! Looked like somethin’ strange happened when y’entered th’ door. Are y’sure yer alright?” Token asks Evara.
