Maggwyn cleaves her blade barely wreathing her blade past the shadow itself. (7 Damage turns to 3.) It seems.. hard to strike...? Yet her blade found some strange sorta purchase as she can almost see somewhat physical wisp to cut at. Her second blow striking forward (4 damage to 2) Much like the first it seems less effective but not all together useless as it reals back looking to her.
OOC I actually did forget one thing.
They were taking the dodge action and my computer isn't reading those rolls right now but were they rolled at disadvantage?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Xarian's own blow had just missed (Holding out on Maggwyn;s attacks and damage as they weren't at disadvantage Xarian's post helped remind they were in fact dodging.)
The first shadow looks around before eyeing Maggwyn, wreathing it;s shadowy claw toward her.

Jordgubb moves off to one side of the shadow creature as he clutches his stomach, a rumbling and bubbling emanates from his body as he belches and groans.
Letting loose he belches out a stream of poisonous breath in a straight line 30ft long and 5ft wide, catching both of the currently engaged hostile shadows in its path.
(Movement north 5ft.
Action breath weapon dc12 Dex save or take 5 poison damage pr half as much on a success.)
Seeing the ineffectual attack of his spores in the round previous he lets the halo lie, swarming around him in a protective layer but not wafting out in a hostile manner any longer.

Fazil steps to the right this time, 10 feet, with a quick wave of his wand. At the same time, the letters in his spellbook start shining brightly in white.
"Set. Load. Burst." He cast Fire Bolt. Then, he moves back to his original position.
The shadows simply look to the deranged dragonborn. The poison lost to the mist as Xarian laments not warning his newest comrade sooner.
Even Fazil's fire seems to crackle but it seems to be more of use than the poison or necrotic at least. (Half damage but I believe in DnD you don't round 1 down to 0 so it still does 1 damage. But they would tell fire is as effective as physical attacks.)
Thuribula watches the shadows as they shrug off most of the attacks directed at them. Xarian's words float back to her and she nods. I am needed up there. Against the Light, no shadow can stand...
The paladin rushes forward with her shield interposed between herself and the shadows. The weight of Rikard's armor keeps her from moving as quickly, and she hasn't made it to the shadows yet, but after murmuring a prayer and crossing herself with a holy gesture, she pulls out her warhammer and gets ready to strike at the first shadow that she gets within range of.
Action readied to hit a shadow if it comes in range, since she can't get close enough this turn. Bonus action casting Divine Favor.
(Exactly, though we'll see if it fixes it). On shadow's turn:
Desperately, half understanding what he is doing, the big man frees one hand from the haft of his maul as the perfectly-placed attack from the clawed shadow comes at him. He mumbles halting words as silvery-blue rays of light illuminate the slight haze, distracting the shadowy attacker momentarily.
Xarian casts Silvery Barbs as a reaction (re-roll attack) and grants Thuribula an opening and clear view (advantage on her next d20).
(Will wait to post Xarian's actual turn after Maggwyn. His reaction resets at the start of his turn.)
Maggwyn recoils a bit as the spew of poison comes flying from Jordgubb's mouth, but is disappointed as she sees it does absolutely nothing to the shadows. She has nothing else up her sleeve, but knows at least her hits are doing something but man, these things are nothing to mess around with.
"Come on Flame! We need ya over here, that armor a bit much for ya?" honestly though she's happy to see Thuribula make her way towards them, this was harder than she thought it was going to be.
With her shortsword, she slices through the first shadow again..
Attack: 23, Damage: 7
But not wanting to get hit, she summons her ki to disengage and moves away from the shadows.
Then realizes as she retreats that this might look like she's running away after taunting Thuribula, "Don't you worry, I'm just making up my mind on my next attack." and she winks towards the paladin.
As his Silvery Barbs distract the shadow, Xarian is able to stumble away from the clawed shadow's (2) attack, which just barely misses the exposed flesh of his face. Startled, his owl, Ash, takes wing and flaps her wings in the face of the other clawed shadow (1), taking the help and flying up 15' above the fray and 10' East, avoiding opportunity attack through Flyby and her 60' movement.
(Xarian's reaction resets at the start of his turn).
Pivoting to regain his balance, the big man moves north 5' (still in melee range of both shadows) and awkwardly gestures further and brings his maul up at the chest of the already injured clawed shadow (1) (now to the west of him), forcing his foe away and sheathing it in blue, booming energy.
Action: Booming Blade cantrip attack using maul on clawed shadow (1), with advantage thanks to help Maul to hit: 24 Maul damage: 11 bludgeoning Forced Movement - Crusher feat: clawed shadow (1) pushed 5' in direction of Xarian's choice (southwest - I already moved the shadow on Roll20). Booming Bladesecondary damage: IF clawed shadow (1) moves voluntarily before Xarian's next turn: 5 thunder damage

Maggwyn strikes forward alongside Xarian and his owl, the two strangers fighting side by side against the foe. The shadow wriggles up, as thunder blast it's steps though it only slows down slightly due to this fact. Now taking this chance to strike at him once more..

With none of his specialities working Jordgubb grunts in frustration and swings once again with his magically enhanced quarterstaff, attempting once again to smash at the one shadow directly in front of him.
Jordgubb had managed to smash his way through one of the shadows with his magical swing! This however... caused the remaining shadow to slowly look his way ascertaining it's next target.
Thuribula, rushing forward, finds herself finally able to reach one of the threatening shadows. She stifles a laugh at Maggwyn's taunts--It is a bit much, isn't it? Scale mail is much more solid than my chain. But looking at the ugly, insubstantial claws and looming posture of the creature she's about to go toe to toe with, Thuribula feels grateful for the extra protection. Then she steps into range, bringing her shield up and swinging her hammer.
To Hit: 15 (12 if rolling with disadvantage) Damage: 4 bludgeoning damage and 4 radiant damage (from Divine Favor)

(Hoping a little off-turn narration and speech is ok).
Xarian winces ruefully as Jordgubb uses his breath weapon.
Ah of course. Green dragonborn use poison. But undead are just as immune to that as they are to necrosis... I should have said that earlier!
"Ah... sorry, argh. Jordgubb. I meant, since they are undead, neither necrotic, nor poison attacks will work! I think your magical staff is best..."

Thuribula's turn! ^^
"trial and error boy!" Jordgubb shouts gleefully in response over the din of fighting, "though I do wonder what these taste like!"
