Cunning stops, slowly scanning the area in front, and paying particular attention to the figure in front. His grip on the maul changes, only slightly but it changes nonetheless. Without looking his way he speaks quietly to Jakus "Is Liaka with us, and if so can they get closer and see who or what that is?"

Noticing his companion's unease, Titus slowed the vehicle to a stop. He glanced over at Cunning. "Surely he's just a guard assigned the gate, right?" Still, he didn't move the wagon any closer, instead opting to give an overly-friendly smile and wave to the cloaked figure.

"I don't know. From my experience guards are usually conspicuously armed and armoured, as a deterrent. This doesn't feel right."

He begins walking towards you slowly, his sparkly black robes unaffected by the wind. He pulls a white rose out from under his robes. "I bet you have never felt the wind wither, pawns."

The fighter's eyes narrowed as the figure approached. Pawns?

He stepped down from the wagon and drew his greatsword, but simply stood it on its point as he casually leaned onto it. "You're not nearly as friendly as you looked," said Titus in an almost mockingly-innocent tone, sounding slightly disappointed. But then his gaze hardened as a sudden bluntness drove his next words. "How about you tell us who you are and what you're doing here, before things get messy?"

Cunning also demounts, standing a little apart from Titus, his maul resting against his shoulder. "Nice robes, I love what you've done with the sparkles. Are we off to a dance?"

Thrudor wonders what rhymes this fella is speaking....Wind wither....White rose....He waits to see how the person responds to his companions.

The figure ignores your comments and continues to walk toward you slowly. "I bet you have never seen shadow freeze fire. I bet you have never heard a melody that killed and revived you. I bet you have never seen glass become an ocean, and the ocean back to glass. This I would like to show you." He strikes a match against the rose, which lights on fire, ghostly blue fire. The rose takes no damage from the burning. "The stars are falling. Do you feel it, pawns?"

Jakus stares at the mysterious person, confused. “Look, we don’t want any trouble. We’re just passing through here. If you’re looking for someone, you’ve got the wrong people.”

"I know why you're here. You've come to stop the winter." He pulls down his hood to reveal the head of a snow leopard, although his eyes are the color of pure silver. "The Enigma will not allow this." The rose burns away as he pulls out a glaive of pure ice.

Thrudor tries to difuse the situation as the panther takes out a glaive "We are trying to understand the winter. It is causing a great deal of havoc within the natural balance of nature. Alas if you want to do this the hard way...the hard way it is"
