The voice in undercommon comes back to you. "He's jealous of you. Remind the Tiefling that he was abandoned in the tundra for a reason. He wants your power. He was sent to kill you and your companions, but only now do I realize he would betray our cause. You must get rid of him!"
“Our cause? Our? I don’t even know who you are. How can I trust you? And the tiefling (as you call him) never even told me anything about his past. So that makes me trust you even less now.
"He is not who he says he is. Your companions want the money. The fame. That is why they risk their life for this cause. One of them is a traitor. Accept this gift from the dice. And trust me. You will soon know who I am."
Thrudor watches this all take place and wonders who Jakus is talking to “Jakus you’re speaking in a tongue unfamiliar to me….Who are you talking to? The prince?”
Titus, frozen in anticipation of the result of Jakus' die roll, finally exhaled before turning back to the guards. "And you lot still haven't answered--where's your boss?"
The guard hands Thrudor the bottle. "Well, the king is above all else here, of course. But do you want to talk to General Thoraxin? He's the head of the police force, and also works with the military." "If you want to see him, never insult him or suggest he's failing anything. He's an Orc with an attitude."
The fighter nodded. "General Thoraxin will do fine. And--" he turned and glanced at the chest that held the die and beads, "--be sure to put that away before someone else falls under its spell!"
(I should have been clearer about this, but the dice transformed into the bottle.)
One of the guards talks with another guard outside. After a minute they come back. "I'll take you to General Thoraxin." The walk there is only a few minutes.
You are led to a large office and Thoraxin stands up from his desk. He is 6'5, very muscular, and has old scars all over his arms. He has tattoos of Fiends and Dragons all over his arms, and the red color of the tattoos appears to be blood. He's bald and wearing a complicated set of iron armor in a scale-like pattern, with metal spines on the shoulders and a black cape on his back. He is wielding a heavy pole axe of some dark metal, with the phrase "These are the last words you will ever read" engraved neatly in red on the side. He has red war paint over his eyes (although you can't tell if it's paint or blood) and a fierce determination in his eyes like he's ready for battle despite not doing anything at the moment. He speaks in a heavy voice (in common), "Who are you, kids?" He asks pridefully, although he doesn't seem interested in hearing the answer. He looks at Thrudor and snickers quietly, then starts staring at Cunning. "You ever killed a Behir?" "Sir, they would like-" "Pause." He says, without letting the guard finish. "I want to take a good look at this Tiefling."
In orc "No, they do not dwell in the cold north, we have remorhaz instead. I am Cunning of the Green Moss tribe." He places a hand on his heart and bows slightly.
As Thrudor walks along with the group, he takes the bottle and swishes it around a bit then giving it a sniff trying to determine what it is without using it.
Thoraxin laughs to himself. "Green moss? Oh, and I'm from blue fungus." He laughs to himself a bit more. He grabs a bottle of ale and drains it in 1 gulp and then takes a bite off the top of the bottle. He doesn't spit out the glass. "What do you want, plant guy?"
Cunning stares back at Thoraxin and calmly replies. "Ahhhh, I see. We're going for the traditional path of leadership by dominance and insult. Very well, do we fight to the death, or first blood? Whilst I would prefer to fight to the death, I have no desire to leave your troops without a leader in such times as this."
Titus had already been taken aback by the general's demeanor--snickering at his party, really? But as Thoraxin stared at Cunning, and then words began to be exchanged, he became uneasy. What was this? Had the general been bewitched as well? The fighter held his tongue for the moment, but he gave Cunning a "just say the word" glance as he shifted his weight so he could draw his weapon just that little bit faster.
Thrudor coughs at the back and forth between the two. "Perhaps we could speak together with resepct and not hasty judgements based on appearance. Your prince is frozen, we are here to help....I have this liquid here" Thrudor swirls the vial around in a circle and smells it again hoping that maybe being in a different room with different odors will help him determine what it is. He hopes to difuse the situation. "It is possible this will dethaw the prince"

"Hmmm..... I have to say that this doesn't fill me with confidence. The whole thing seems somewhat sinister."
"I would strongly advise against drinking whatever that is, no matter what the mystery voices tell you."

“There was a voice, I thought it was the Prince. But whatever it was stopped responding,” Jakus replies. He frowns, thinking.

Cunning continues to focus on Thoraxin, appearing quite at ease. Behind his back, out of sight of Thoraxin he gestures to Titus to stand down.
