Gasp runs in and almost can't stop himself! But fortunately, he doesn't just bull rush the girl and comes to a stop. He points to the shield and Mimmics "Shield! Ten-Thousand Gold!"
Crispy and Ashley "walk" into the shop. "Did anyone in here see a huge bir- Oh. There he is." Crispy smirked when she saw Gasp. She waited casually, looking around, until Gasp was finished.
While Gasp was purchasing his new shield, Crispy leaned down to Hatt and told him a joke.
An Elven ranger was on the prowl for his next meal when he spotted a duck flying overhead. Quicker than the eye could follow, he plucked an arrow from his quiver, took aim and let it fly. Walking over towards the area where the duck fell, he spotted a Halfling who was stood over the kill with a light repeating crossbow in hand. "Thats my kill" said the Elf. "That duck was flying perfectly well until my arrow brought it down. You just walked up to it now and shot it while it was lying on the ground!" "Nonsense" replied the Halfling "You were facing into the sun and so you can't tell whether it was my bolt or your arrow that brought it down and it hurts me deeply that you could accuse me of such underhanded play. I suggest that we settle this the Halfling way!" "The Halfling way?" asked the Elf. "Yes. We each kick each other between the legs and the last man standing gets to keep the duck!" The Elf though this over and after deciding that he was by far the fitter and the stronger of the two, that he'd win in such a contest. "OK then." said the Elf, "You're on." "Being as it's my honour thats been called into question I insist that I get to go first though" the Halfling demanded. The Elf agreed that this seemed fair and braced himself for the full force of the Halflings boot. Sure enough, the Halfling took careful aim, backed up a few paces, wound himself up and landed an almighty blow between the Elf's legs. The Elf bent over double in pain but with eyes streaming, stoically managed not to make a sound. "Right then" said the Elf. "It's my turn now!" "It's OK" replied the Halfling "You can keep the duck."
Bennett will enter with everyone else, lean against a wall, and just watch Gasp jump around merrily. These are good people. I hope I don't get them all killed...
The girl nods, "Please place the gold onto the counter while I go get it down." The dark elf bows her head and drags the stool she was standing on to the wall with the shield.
(I'll update Gasp's sheet with the shield once you do, and I don't know if anything can really stop Gasp now besides bosses.)
Hatt doubles over laughing and is unable to speak until Gasp has finished his purchase. He grins up at Crispy: The kicking of elf shins is a most sacred halfling tradition. Thank you for honouring the ways of my people; and he bows solemnly.
When Gasp is finished, Hatt will propose: So are we all going together to see Opsilly? It seems like Karra has an errand to run with him, and at least we can press him and find out a little more about who he is and what he wants - maybe he'll let something slip. Maybe we won't get answers, but we can help Karra to finish his job and then make a decision about whether to continue dealing with him or not.
I belive so Hatt. We need to learn as much as we can about this next job so we can prep properly. Ashley has a flashback of how unprepared to face a giant snapping turtle they were.

“Shins..?” Crispy asks, giving Hatt a quirky stare, standing up. “No, the elf got kicked in his jewels.” She waved lightly in the air, then patted his head. “It’s ok. Glad you liked the joke.”
She slid up to Ashley as the transaction wrapped up. ”So.” She said, making no attempt to be subtle at all, and took Ashley’s hand and put it on her stomach. “Speaking of dragonturtles, how much longer do I get to wear this..? Not that I mind. Your willpower is very impressive.” She moved her hand lower, but just a bit.
(Lol, I completely misread that in a hurry, but I'm sticking with it!)
Hatt frowns. In the jewels? That's quite high, you know. This halfling was a monk perhaps? Hey Bennett, help me out with something here! Hatt spends about half a minute trying to see how high he can kick.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"One sec, babe." Crispy said to Ashley. The rogue went over to Hatt and Bennett, watching the halfling. "No, no, you've almost got it..a little higher. Here. Like this."
Crispy spins, winds up, and plants her foot as hard as she can right into Bennett's crotch.

"Like that. Now you try. But, wait for him to get up, first, then go." she said to Hatt.
Gasp pays no mind to happy hour at shenanigans going on behind him. What he does pay, however, is a cool 1000 platinum. He places a few hefty sacks of coin on the counter. SQUAWK!
Ashley cheeks went a little red, but Crispy didnt notice ad he attention was taken by an opportunity to abuse Bennett again. Ahsley wondered how her little suprise was going. She hadn't had much time to sneak away during Crispy's nap to prepare it.

Bennett is just casually watching Gasp get excited over a shield when he sees Crispy approach him, "Hey, Crisp, what's u-" that's when the kick hits it's mark. Bennett slumps to the ground and immediately grabs his jewels. "What the f**k, Crispy?!" He is currently rolling around on the ground groaning in pain while his hands are between his legs.
((Man, I've been so addicted to Red Dead Redemption 2, I've been kind of neglecting the PbP, sorry peeps!))
Assuming that Crispy's kick didn't do any actual damage, Hatt will help Bennett up. Sorry, that got a little out of hand.
Are we all here? Karra too? Gasp, you've got your shield? Crispy, you're done enacting random violence on fellow team members? Everyone ready to head over to see our glorious former employer? Hatt's tone is one of weary acceptance of the return visit to Opsola, no real enthusiasm.
Karra seems relieved that someone else is actually thinking about more than spending all their money. "Hmm, time is wasting. Should go as soon as possible, yes?"
"Enacting random violence??" Crispy scoffs, confused, "I was showing you how to nutkick properly. Trust me, it'll come in handy one dayWHOA-!" Ashley grabbed Crispy by the hand and they both went outside. "Thanks, Bennett!" she called out as they left.
Crispy couldn't care less about Almanac. She wanted to make Ashley happy, so along she came. If there were more Dragonturtles this time she might get a bit miffed. She looked at Ashley and give her a wink, squeezed her hand and talked about something silly to distract her mind from this ridiculous follow up task. If it was up to her, she'd run as fast as she could with Ashley in tow and live happily ever after away from danger, risk, and impulsive decisions.
We all knew that wouldn't be the case.
