(I think Hatt, Ashley and Crispy are still below deck - do they also make a saving throw against the charm effect? Also, is this a check or a saving throw?)
(If Hatt has to make it, and assuming it's a saving throw, then 17.)
Crispy, for just a split moment, thought she felt something tugging at her mind. Sounded like there might be more activity updeck. She looked at Hatt, he seemed ok. She looked at Ashley, who gave her a smile, and Crispy found it a bit difficult to resist her. The illumination in the lower decks brought out the subtle shadows and shapes of her face, and Crispy found her especially beautiful in the lighting. Ashley might have caught her staring, a hungry look on her face, and not for food.

((WIS Save... here we go again...))
7 Wisdom Save
((Hell yeah))
Everyone that is topside sees Bennett's hand reach out and shadows swirl from his fingertips and they head toward the tortle, engulfing him in a shadowy mist.
Bonus Action: Use Hexblade's Curse on the tortle pirate. ((Gives me +2 to damage rolls, I crit on a 19-20 and if he dies I gain 8 HP))
Action: Cast Eldritch Blast at the tortle dude. Attack: 8 Damage: 7
(That CRITS! extra 1d10 for the crit: 7)) no modifier gets attached to that right? I usually do crits by doubling the dice damage not used to rolling for them lmao))
EDIT: ((Just looked it up in the rules... it does say add the modifier again. So 3+6 is 9. 9+14= 23 total damage
((Only if I use Bennett's Hexblade's Curse and I attack the thing I cursed. If I cursed the turtle and attacked a random dude after, then I wouldn't get the critical on a 19.))
(I'd consider it magical, so you do get advantage on them. And Bennett it's just roll the damage dice twice then add modifiers.)
Gasp, you feel a pull, a sense of urgency calling you to the cabins. You have to go in there and see who screamed. The tortle braces himself as the tendrils wrap around him and seep into his skin, tinging his skin. He takes the blast of energy and shrugs it off. The pirates beside him also falter as the scream sounds out, a few staring at the cabins.
The galley pirates are still down there. (Amazingly they actually succeeded in their save.)
Hm. We should probably at some point find out the source of that scream, but we have the galley pirates and the captain to take care of. Thoughts, everyone? Group huddle! =P
In times of wait, Crispy took a moment to reflect.
Beaten by her father, loved by her mother, found dying in a alley at 15. When the Commander found her in that alley, surrounded by the dead bodies of the four teenagers she had beaten up, he knew damn well she could serve well on the Force. She carried her broken body to the Temple, where the Cleric had healed her back together. Never had he seen such a mess.
Thus would start the second hardest time in Crispy's life - the Training. The Commander pushed her to the limits of human endurance and sanity, and Crispy never ever felt any comfort in the slightest during that time. Even the male trainees gave her a hard time, but much to their surprise, it was on more than one occasion they were found in their rooms at times, beaten to a pulp. When she graduated at 18, she was partnered with another recent graduate named Aerik, and the two had a successful career for about 8 years. Then it all fell to pieces.
Crispy's programming and early life trauma caused her to make terrible choices. When she was fired and exiled, she was never allowed to return to Waterdeep. She remembered the day the Commander let her go, reminding her of how she was an animal when he first found her, and how he gave her a family. But most of all it hurt when he said what a disappointment she was, and he meant it.
She felt like a disappointment most of the time, but she would never tell anyone that. Combined with the recent murder of her father, and now the reoccurring nightmares, it was difficult to hold it all together. One day she would have to find a way to end the hauntings.
I think we cant let pirates wander freely on our transport. round 'em up and keelhaul them (look it up, its actually a pretty terrifying way to punish sailors)

(That's awesome, I wish I had that trick. Crispy is suddenly violently jealous haha.)

I don’t want to be a disappointment today.
Are we still headed upstairs to assist with the topside pirates? or do we want to check on the galley pirates since they are searching the ship ?
