The 5 purple potions are Potion of Mind control (humanoid) but you know that they’ve been altered so the drinker won’t be under your control, but someone else’s.
And finally the Spear is a magic item called a Satira Lense, a weapon from Salorna. It is a +2 weapon that allows the user to attune with it psychically and shoot psychic rays out of it. However, LANDMOP identifies an entity inside the lense that seeks to control whoever attunes with it. If someone wishes to use the spear without being controlled, they would need to battle the entity on its terms; likely in some kind of psychic battle.
Ill let you all discuss the use and management of the items before we descend fully into Khyber
LANDMOP emerges from the bag with the items in tow, sharing the information above with the group. "I believe I may be able to best the spear if you would all allow." It says honestly seeing the benefit of having another ranged option
"I definitely don't need to psychically fight a spear," Elero says, "so I'm good with you keeping it. And I don't need them, but I have torches for whoever does," he adds, pointing to his pack. "Just let me know."
Zoveldra nods. "I don't need the spear, so I am happy to entrust it to you, LANDMOP. Just let us know if whatever is attached to it starts to become too much." She then looks to Elero while tapping her pack. "I also have an everbright lantern, though it is a bit too bright to use if we are trying to move unnoticed. I will probably only take it out to help see if we get into a fight."

You all follow Jimjar further below, and it is clear that you no longer are in the regular underground. The tunnels get rougher and you start you find more cave-ins and have to back track. The air becomes stale and smells of strange flavors you've never experienced before. Beyond the light of your torches/lanterns is pre darkness, like you've never beholden before. Welcome to the subterranean lands of Khyber.
Throughout this Jimjar seems at home and easily can serve as your parties way finder. After a few hours, he points out a steep path leading down, "Great lizards down that way. Not sure what's beyond that, better to leave it alone. Once we're a bit past it we can have a rest for the night."
Does anyone vote to go down the lizard tunnel or do you continue on and camp? Also, does LANDMOP still plan on trying to attune to the Satira Lense Spear?
If we're currently heading "to the right" along the top of the map, toward the Gnome Home, Elero votes skipping the dangerous lizards and heading to rest. Seems like the party needs it.
Assuming everyone agrees to this, I will get a Random Encounter roll from one of you. Which in this case will be a d20, with a random encounter appearing on a 14-20
Same.

You all descend further below (I assume you have some way of crating light?)
After about an hour LANDMOP is able to identify all of the magic items, which are:
Javelin of Lightning
Ring of Jumping
2 Potion of Healing (Greater)

LANDMOP will attempt to attune with the spear after their next long rest

Map for reference:
Yes, LANDMOP will try to attune to it. Their arrogance getting the better of them
