"You truly have a unique insight into the lives of these trolls." Elero leans down, which is a rare thing for him, and puts a hand on the duergar's shoulder. "If it were up to you, how would you deal with the Slaverers?"
Werz looks at you, his expression unchanged since you awoke him, “If it were up to me, they would be slaughtered like the animals they are. The leader of the Slaverer’s, Chuztat, is apparently even more violent than Greezelet. When they speak of him they refer to him as ‘All Arms Crazy’, I don’t know what that means.”
Elero nods. "Fair. If I were in your position, I'd probably think the same. What can you tell us about them, that might help us defeat them? How many of them are there? Do they have any traps, or other monsters with them? Do they want anything in particular, that we might use as leverage against them?"
Werz nods his head, “How to defeat them is easy: Fire. It stops their fur from regrowing and their natural healing, the only issue is getting them into a position where they can’t surround you. I think you could probably expect as many of them as there were of the Topknots, because neither side was able to conquer the other. In terms of monsters, apparently they share their home with some kind of trash elemental creature, I couldn’t work out what it was exactly from their descriptions.”
Zoveldra grimaces at the mention of a trash monster. "We fought something like that in the mines above. It wasn't so tough, but the smell...Fire would probably work well on it too."
Alright it’s easy enough to take a Short Rest. You spend a tense hour catching your breath before the next part of the adventure.
Just as you’re finishing up, something comes flying out of the darkness from the tunnel leading to The Slaverer’s. The head of the last Topknot comes rolling along the cave floor, a look of extreme surprise on its face, then you hear a booming male voice in Giant. “Leave now intruders, and Chuztat and his Slaverer’s will allow you to go with the skin still on your bones; uneaten.”
Do you take them up on that offer or are you still planning to assault them?
Zoveldra frowns at what she presumes is a threat though she doesn't speak the language. "Yes, it is best to wipe them out before they do more harm," she says in agreement with LANDMOP.

Elero takes a deep breath. "I can't...believe I'm suggesting this, but since I speak Giant, I could Disguise mySelf as a troll, albeit one probably a bit shorter than the rest of them, and try to scout ahead. Now," he pauses, "since they're a close-knit tribe, they likely wouldn't accept me, and would probably kill me horribly, but," he shrugs, "maybe there's a chance they won't."
"Oh," Elero rubs his brow, "I would love for someone to come up with a better idea. I don't think Disguise Self can stretch my elven frame enough to be convincing."
He raises a finger. "I could make myself look like Grezelet, and claim I'm back from the dead and bringing all the Hells with me, unless they all flee." He shakes his head. "No, they'd cook and eat me."
"I could send an undead minion forward but that wouldn't give us information, just set the trolls off sooner. Maybe we forge ahead. Focus one troll at a time and make sure they're dead so they don't come up behind us"
Erix thinks the should just charge in, starting with his giant elk and Panther, he'll also cast conjure animals again for a giant snake before the move in.
They shouldn't be with many more than the topknots, or they would have overthrown them. Probably, they are with the same amount of trolls.

So what’s the plan? You going to raid the Slaverer’s lair? You could probably get away with a Short Rest before going in if you need it.
(LANDMOP probably needs one. Arcane recovery and hit dice)
I think a Short Rest and plan formulation is a good idea.
Yeah, short rest.

"Rude" LANDMOP says as she exits sentry mode
"We can't just leave them, without the topknots there's no infighting to keep them at bay"

"Any way to find out what we're up against before we attack?" Elero asks.
"I do not have any of those magics prepared beyond my hand that can go a few dozen yards ahead" LANDMOP says
Elero takes a deep breath. "Or we could try something else."
LANDMOP looks down at the dwarf and cocks their head to the side. Contemplating
So you going to send Elero ahead disguised as a Troll? Will he take in the look of a Topknot or a Slaverer?
"Oh," Elero rubs his brow, "I would love for someone to come up with a better idea. I don't think Disguise Self can stretch my elven frame enough to be convincing."
