You're right of course, but it's probably a fail either way, unless Elero has some crazy high Deception. The Minotaurs look angry now, "Garra's name is garbage here now! We don't like failures, and especially not people who work for them!" They start walking toward you, "How do you even know Garra? She's locked up at the moment isn't she?"
The two minotaurs are walking toward you now, this might be your last chance to retreat if you wanted to. Unless someone wants to try something else.
Erix has been standing by the others, but not doing much except for making sure his dragonmark is visible; just in case it makes a difference (and hoping it will be a positive difference if there is).

The Minotaurs look at Erix' markings and snort, "You better get out of here now Dragonmarked. Take your friends with you and get back up top, Khyber's Gate is no place for you." They back off to the front of the tavern, clearly they don't want the attention that beating up a Dragonmarked would bring.
Mark notices a few other entrances up high into Shamukaar, windows and the like. However, it would take some pretty skilful stealth rolls to get in there. And the Minotaurs have made it clear they're willing to fight you if you try anything else.
Ok so perhaps you all leave, but Mark is able to find a way to sneak back to the grand tavern. He is able to sneak up and get a look through the window of the place.
Catching up to the convo now, after a bit of a road trip. Depending on what Mark's able to accomplish, Elero can always try Disguise Self again, out of sight of the bouncers, and see if they let a goblin in.
I did have a retort prepared about Garra's reach extending out from prison, but I'm narratively too late to try it, which is ok.
He can make out a little of what's happening inside the tavern. It seems full of what you'd expect: goblinoids, gnolls, and other monstrous races all drinking and gambling and having a good time.
You can't quite tell, there's a lot of hustle happening inside the tavern. When you go to the back of the building to try and see if there's a back entrance you see a group of bugbears standing around in a laneway chatting, probably more guards. As you watch them talking, one of the Minotaurs from out the front comes out and proclaims, "Keep an eye out for a group trying to come back this way. One's a shifter, another's an elf, and there's a Dragonmarked noble with them as well. If you catch them rough them up a bit and come get us, the Houses be damned."
You could try to fight your way in, but i'd say that's your best go at sneaking or talking your way in for tonight. So unless you want to have a go at an assault on Shamukaar it's getting quite late, and you still need to get back up to Mark's apartment for a Long Rest. I'll give y'all a day before I move the story on.
"Yeah, I think we should call it a night. Not our time."

Mark huffs and says, "You are right, we are not getting anything else out of them today. I might want to do another trip down to the weird temple thing just to watch the comings and goings but that can be just a me thing. Y'all go back to my place and get some rest, maybe start to think about how the heck we are going to steal from Orion."
wouldn't it be deception, since it is a lie

Not sure what check that would be. Try Intimidation or Performance.
Both -1, but it probably is a form of intimidation.

Mark will look around to see if there is a way to access the bar any other way if not he will grip tighter on his crossbow.

Mark loosened his grip and began to leave. He will then try to swing back stealthfully for the windows.

Roll a Perception check for me as well Mark.

Mark Perception check: 6
He can make out a little of what's happening inside the tavern. It seems full of what you'd expect: goblinoids, gnolls, and other monstrous races all drinking and gambling and having a good time.
(Sorry for the delay) Mark would look to see if there is a backroom and if there is a way into it.

"Seems like it's not our night to get into this place," Elero mutters.

Kit drags himself through Sharn’s streets and passes home to mark’s couch.
Mark huffs and says, "You are right, we are not getting anything else out of them today. "Sounds good," Elero says, eyeing all of the foes in their way before turning to follow the others.
I've got to remember I've got Guidance now. That might have helped some of these checks.
