You came in through the double doors to the Ballroom to the west. You see the kitchen to the east, the male bathroom to the south west, and the hallway leading in a couple directions to the southeast.
You all file into the Butler's Kitchen. You see here that many preparation tools, like dishcloths and cutlery, have been stored, as well as a small table with a seating plan on it. No food has been brought in here yet as it's used more as a staging area rather than an actual kitchen. The door to the north is open leads back outside into the statue garden, while the southern door must lead into one of the hallways you saw before.
You hear the new crew of workers filing into the ballroom behind, so you'll have a new crew coming into the manor relatively soon.
Someone could probably roll a check to intuit where the servant's quarters would be. Probably a DC 20 Insight check or something. Otherwise you'll just need to pick a direction.
"Let's see if we can find the staff quarters, let's move into that hallway quickly before other workers come in here."

Mark agrees and says, "I have no idea where they are so maybe we look for them but we should sneak around. To our dragonmarked friend, where would you keep a fancy safe."
If Erix has proficiency in Insight he can absolutely try to re-roll the other's attempts. Otherwise y'all are just going to have to pick a direction.
You hear the new worker's about to file into the smoking room behind you. So if you don't want to run into more of them, you'll need to either go north into the statue garden, into the hall southward.
Erix is not proficient with Insight, so let's go to the hallway south.

So you head out into the hallway southward. This is a grandiose and ornate hall, with pictures of past Orien leaders decorating the walls. To the east is a room containing a large double bannister staircase going up, while to the west the hallway continues southward and becomes even more ostentacious.
So do you head up the stairs or down the ornate hallway?
Do you have a picture of the layout or can you rewrite the layout, this is hard to imagine.
Of course, this is a massive mansion with heaps of doors. I'll make sure to keep posting the areas of the map you've explored as you go.
You came in through the double doors to the Ballroom to the west. You see the kitchen to the east, the male bathroom to the south west, and the hallway leading in a couple directions to the southeast.
"The kitchen usually leads to servants' access hallways, so maybe start there?" Elero shrugs.

"We've seen the garden. Good to know this is where it leads. Go south?"
Mark will shake his head, "If we can find any of the house staff uniforms then we can probably move more freely throughout the place."
"Ok. Where would we find those?" Elero looks around the kitchen. "There don't seem to be any in this room."
Someone could probably roll a check to intuit where the servant's quarters would be. Probably a DC 20 Insight check or something. Otherwise you'll just need to pick a direction.

Elero will cast Guidance on himself and make an Insight check: 16 plus 1
...and figure out the servants' quarters is probably not outside in the garden.
Mark will roll insight since it was his idea.
Insight: 12
Mark agrees and says, "I have no idea where they are so maybe we look for them but we should sneak around. To our dragonmarked friend, where would you keep a fancy safe."
Kit agrees. All the sneaking is giving him that frisky look in his eyes.
[ooc. Been travelling, back on consistent tonight]

Southward seems like the only logical choice.

"Up the stairs might lead to servants quarters, or the prize we seek, but might also be riskier," Elero mutters.
