The air crackles with tension as the fallen soldier groans on the forest floor, his crossbow lying useless a few feet away. The melody that shimmered with dark magic has faded, leaving an unsettling silence in its wake. The prisoner, chest heaving, turns towards the source of the music and the spectral hand that tripped the swordsman. Alistair steps out from behind the tree, his lute resting casually against his hip. The sunlight glints off the Burning Sword sigil, a subtle reminder of the dark pact fueling his power.
Alistair's gaze sweeps over the prisoner, taking in their disheveled clothes, the raw fear still flickering in their eyes. He offers a curt nod, the amusement from the encounter fading as he adopts a more professional demeanor. A sardonic smile plays on Alistair's lips. "Well met, friend,"he says, his voice smooth and sweetly emphasizing the friendly. He gestures towards the fallen soldier with a theatrical flourish. "A nasty predicament you find yourself in. Care to tell us who these fellows are, and why they were so eager to see you on the wrong end of a crossbow bolt?"
Ooc: My bad. Smudge is in a different adventure. It was and is Zeke.
ic: “I am Zeke, brother dwarf. Good fighting. You are safe now with this band of stout fighters. We have not seen another - where are they taking you so we can intercept them?”
"I and a friend of mine were sent out by the Lord-Commander of Wyndshire. We were to investigate why Baron von Hendricks' men were roaming around so far outside of his lands."
Krog will touch Billy and say a little prayer. (This will restore 5 HPs)
He then looks at Alistair, "Can you help bind up our friend here? We may want to have a conversation later." Krog points toward the unconscious Crossbowman.
"We should check to see if they have anything of value as well." (Krog's Perception and Investigation checks are horrid. Not to mention Sleight of Hand. Krog is more point and shoot.)
Zeke rummages through his pack and pulls out some common clothes. “Nothing fancy but would you like to wear something different?” He then starts searching the bodies.

Alistair crouches beside the groaning soldier, a flicker of cruel amusement dancing in his eyes. The man wouldn't remember much of anything after Alistair is done with him. Fierna's seductive whispers, ever-present at the back of his mind, urge him on. Inflict pain, savor the fear in his eyes. Alistair pushes those urges down for now. There will be time for her "entertainment" later."Pass the rope, would you be so kind, my friend?" Alistair asks, his voice devoid of warmth as he addresses Krog. "Wouldn't want him regaining consciousness and causing a scene before we're done with him."
Alistair straightens, his gaze flickers towards the bodies. Looting the dead is beneath a noble warrior, perhaps, but Alistair revels in the practicality of it. Every coin, every trinket, could be used to further my own, Fierna's goals. "Zeke," he says, dropping his voice to a conspiratorial whisper, "I'll join your inventory check. See if these fellows left anything of value lying around besides bad breath." Alistair's fingers linger a moment too long on a pouch hanging from the soldier's belt, a hint of avarice gleams in his eyes. He subtly tries to move a few coins into his own pocket while appearing to simply tie up and examine the body. Sleight of Hand12

Each of the Baron's soldiers wears a set of leather armor dyed black and a tabard and carries a dagger and a scimitar. The crossbowman's tabard is intact but the swordsman's is torn and bloodstained. In addition, the crossbowman has his crossbow and 8 bolts. As you search the swordsman, you also discover a tattoo of the double-headed eagle on the inside of his forearm.
(I need an investigation check from Zeke & Alistair to see what else they find and a perception check, with disadvantage, from Zeke to see if he catches Alistair pocketing any coins.)
(Also, it was suggested that someone tie up the crossbowman prisoner, but is anyone actually doing so?)

Once again filled with blood lust, Brockes searches the area for anyone else to harm.
Perception: 16
(Yes, it appears that Zeke picked up a nickname at some point.)
After a thorough search of the area Brockes is, perhaps disappointedly, certain that there are no additional threats lurking about.

"Krog you are a wonder thank you. Thank you all."

(OOC - I believe Alistair's Sleight of Hand check was to bind the prisoner.)
(Vetallica, can you please verify which one the roll is for?)
(OOC- Sorry about that GB. I see the confusion. BTW - What is needed to bind up people in 5e?)
(I don't think there's a hard rule for that, but I'll double check. The only campaign I've been in where it came up the DM just did a base Dex check.)
(OOC Both? More for the attempt to secretly pocket coins while tying him up. Can roll again for the tying up part if required, just lmk!)
Alistair investigation 17
Billy
Here let me help you with that.
Dex check = 22
Perception check = 5,12 +2
Zeke
investigation 15-1=14
perception 10+2=12 minus any for disadvantage
(I believe Disadvantage means you roll twice and take the lower number.)
