Leif speaks up as Screechirk looks over, “Oh um yes well,  could you please describe your attacker I will give an illusionary depiction you let me know when it matches that way we will all have a look.”  Leif begins with a shadowy man’s profile.

Zenia seems shocked to hear the news that two others have been attacked, including one being killed.

"It is terrible news that Jacopo Ain has been killed," her demeanour seems to have soured. "I guess, for now, I am one of the lucky ones."

She takes a moment to recollect her thoughts.

"Let's see... I was shopping along the River Gold, escorted by several of the servants. Then suddenly... I started to feel ill. I remember seeing a cloud of pink ash appearing all around me. Then the servants began attacking each other.

I didn't see any attacker. Though, someone did bump into me just before I started to feel ill. However, that feeling quickly faded away.

That's all I remember."

“Are you certain nobody in the area stands out, maybe a spectator lingering longer then the rest?”

At the mention of a poison causing people to attack each other, Screechirk looks to Leif in concern. He adds, "Indeed. What you describe sounds like most recent attack too. If you wish, I shall pray for Milil's guidance in aiding your memory." 

Leif allows his minor illusions to shift through the faces present at the last pink mist drug induced incident they were at… watching her responses for any recognition.

Regardless of the outcome Leif will whisper to his colleges, our end of the bargain is complete.  Perhaps we ought to collect our reward?

"I'm not sure," says Screechirk whispering back, "if there's a pattern to this it may behoove us to delve deeper into this mystery." A twinkle follows in his eyes, "Though I would not be opposed to negotiating for more if that suits your inclinations." He turns to Shadow, "What do you think of this? Dive deeper or create another arrangement?"

 As everyone continues to talk about the attack on Zenia, suddenly there are raucous voices at the door.

Performers in bright feathers and shimmering silk flood into the tavern, laughing bombastically. The crowd, including Zenia, responds with great enthusiasm.

Screechirk feels a bit of whiplash from the questioning to Zenia's enthusiasm for the dance. But it seemed like they were in for a treat at least. But as Diva Luma heads towards them he sighs, "Not again."

Leif will use illusion to interpose a floating shield between Zenia and Diva Luma.

Leif creates an image of a shield in the air.

Then Screechirk prepares his spells.

However, none of this stops Diva Luma as she leaps through the air and attempts to stab Zenia with her glass shoe twice.

(Attack: 16 Damage: 4 piercing damage.
Attack: 10 Damage: 4 piercing damage.)

Then another of the divas appears from behind Diva Luma attempting to stab Screechirk with a glass bottle.

(Attack: 11 Damage: 6 piercing damage.
Attack: 8 Damage: 7 piercing damage.)

Yet, another diva also appears and attempts to stab Leif.

(Attack: 16 Damage: 6 piercing damage.
Attack: 9 Damage: 3 piercing damage.)

[[ Since Leif and Screechirk were standing near each other I assume the divas attack us are also standing near each other, such that a 5ft radius sphere could get them both, no? ]]

Screechirk thanks Milil for his protection against the attack of the Diva and chants a quick incantation to call forth a sphere of fire to surround the divas by him and Leif. "I've told a lot of stories in my time. But insane attacking dancers? This is a new one."

Leif looks up into the eyes of his attacker his lips turn a rotten black color as he kisses and blows across the now flayed flesh of his palm a breath of black icy poison issues into the divas face.

Con save DC 13 vs 11 poison damage.

”A kiss dear, for you.”

Screechirk throws a flaming sphere at two of the divas singeing them both.

(DC Con: 17)

Leif sprays poision into the face of his attacke, who coughs and splutters as a result.

However, the divas continue to attakck.

Diva Luma turns her attention to Screechirk and attempts to attack him with her high-heeled shoe.

(Attack: 19 Damage: Unable to parse dice roll.) piercing damage.

Then the second and third diva attempt to attack Screechirk  with the glass bottles.

Attack: 20 Damage: 6 piercing damage.)

As Leif’s head is cut by the glass bottle and blood flows down over his face, something from deep down begins to bubble to the surface.

Leif cries out not in pain but in fear, “No master no not now not here…”

Leif’s patron has taken control however…

Where Leif calls upon darkness Screechirk calls upon light. "Milil's musicians protect us!" he prays. The other divas had missed but Luma's attack smarted a bit. Radiant energy emanates as spectral beings playing instruments enter the room.

divas are also at half movement speed while in Spirit Guardians AoE. (should pair nicely with Leif's Hunger making difficult terrain >:D )

He will use a Warding Flare reaction to impose disadvantage on the next melee attack on him.

The three divas suffer the effects of Leif's spell. Followed by Screechirk's they collapse from the fight.

Screechirk drops his concentration on Spirit Guardians and moves to stabilize Diva Luma (assuming Hunger gets dropped).

He'll also help the other divas as he can.

As he attends to the divas he says, "This bears semblance to an event not that long ago. I wouldn't be surprised if they too were poisoned." Turning to Zenia he asks, "Are you alright, madame?"

Hunger of Hadar ends with a loud tentacle slapping sound a foul odor and Leif is on all fours his eyes bloodshot and snot running out his nose… “I’m sorry… I’m so sorry…”  he stands up and shakes off the cold.
