As they arrive at the cathedral, Quartz examines the building and admires the way it's construction blends with the natural environment. Noting the fey carvings, he does inquire, "Excquisite reliefs, are these of fey origin?"
Talia nods, quite enthusiastic."Yes, Fae, Dwarvish, Elvish, Draconic. Many have passed through, using this place as sanctuary. In ages past, this place once held a shrine to the forest. I'm sure you, Quartz, notice the Druidic touch...?"She flourishes a hand to the wall. Sure enough, the Firbolg can make out several lines of Druidic, faded against the wall. Given its dilapidated nature, however, it may take time to discern its actual message. <But never mind all that. She knows his name. Joyous.>
Enthralled, Quartz' heart skips a beat when Talia speaks his name. "Forest shrines in the swamp. I've seen stranger things. I wonder, though, was this the forest, then? Has it flooded since?"
Korbiña, weary of an illusion walks to one of large pillars and touches it.
"So how come you are here? Are you living here, Talia?"
"Me? Oh no, like so many other petals on the wind, I only landed here. Yes, so many..."She lets her eyes fall to the floor before they snap back up."...Ah! But please! My arrival isn't important here. Only yours."

"Flooded? No. But sinking still. It's like a warm dream"
Talia seems to cradle herself as she speaks, something clearly on her mind.
Korbiña looks to the floor... intently, very intently...
<Perception: 9 >
"And you believe that sinking into the swamp is metely like a warm hug, Talia?"
"Ahh. Haha. No... no, I'm sorry, I don't know why I said it like that. Though, perhaps -- maybe, could you help me?" Her eyes seem quite desperate. <Is she so eager for your help?>
"So, the structure lacks a firm foundation," Quartz concludes. "How beautiful: a testament to the fragility of the material. Truly a divinely inspired work."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Korbiña's face softens a bit "Needing help IS a viable request, which you COULD have asked right away. BUUUT... alright, let's hear, Talia. What is the problem and how can we help?"
Korbiña is still very suspicious below the surface which she tries to hide

and tries to get an Insight into her motives as they appear to change (maybe she's under some kind of spell or pressure herself)

"Ah. No, no. I mean, yes, I could use help, but... ohhh...!"
She fumbles with her words for a moment longer, before drawing a deep breath. Korbiña doesn't initially see anything from her. Talia is hiding... something, but the tiefling senses no ill will to them. The woman also appears to be genuinely worried. As for what...
"Please. There are others, wayward travelers, lost in the same way I was. I had... given up on them, but you -- your party seems more than capable. If, if I offer a way from this place, might I convince you to look for them? Please?"
If nothing else, she seems genuinely concerned about helping the "lost" travelers.

As they arrive at the cathedral, Quartz examines the building and admires the way it's construction blends with the natural environment. Noting the fey carvings, he does inquire, "Excquisite reliefs, are these of fey origin?"
Korbiña nods to support Quatz's question "Who built this place in a swamp? Or was it once a different kind of land? Do you know, Talia?"
Korbiña' eyes wander about, looking for statues with any kind of religious, arcane or historical references.
Talia nods, quite enthusiastic. "Yes, Fae, Dwarvish, Elvish, Draconic. Many have passed through, using this place as sanctuary. In ages past, this place once held a shrine to the forest. I'm sure you, Quartz, notice the Druidic touch...?" She flourishes a hand to the wall. Sure enough, the Firbolg can make out several lines of Druidic, faded against the wall. Lelantus walks over to the pillar korbina is next to and starts climbing it

The halfling makes it a fair height, reaching juuust above Quartz's shoulders up the old stonework, before sliding back down.
Lelantus looks over at Talia and thaux blushing in embarrassment and looks away to continue watching for fun things to climb

Can I make an investigative check to see if I can find something fun to climb?
"Ahh. Haha. No... no, I'm sorry, I don't know why I said it like that. Though, perhaps -- maybe, could you help me?" Her eyes seem quite desperate. <Is she so eager for your help?>
[Sure, but unless it's for Talia, make it with disadvantage.]
