Wilhorn winces when he hears there’s more orcs to deal with. He rubs his side where even healing magics haven’t completely hidden the scar.
Lanar looks at you, "More orcs? What do you mean more? I just saw these guys on the trail yesterday. Oh, you have hides and greataxes stacked up, that's their gear. Did you already take care of them? What a relief. When it comes to scouts or raiding parties, I'm sure there will be more at their home base. You may have bought us some time before they raid the town."

Back when you first arrived at town, you ran into a halfling farmer named "Qelline Alderleaf"
"That's a fine looking pet you have there. I have a kennel in my barn. I train wolves and use them to guard my farm. I could help train your pup for 1 gp each day."
“Harbin and Sildar, I think I speak for the group when I say, we would like to donate to the township however much weapons and armor we have collected thus far. You can store it in whatever armory you might have in order to equip a militia both now and in the future. However much is not needed, we will trade to the Lionshield Coster.”
Wilhorn looks amongst the party to verify he didn’t misspeak.

Trilena's comment about the Manor grabs Marcon's attention
What Manor? Is that what those ruins on the hill are? And what is this about mercenaries living there?
There is a ruined castle on the hill. It's both an eye sore and a piblic safety hazard, over 300 years old, back when this town was an ancient city. If you dig deep enough here, you'll find foundation stones from that ancient city. It's filled with rats.
If the ruffians live there, then it's at their own risk
Prior to making his way to Stonehill inn, Marcon sells his yumi and his wakizashi (shortbow and scimitar) at Lionshield Coster (Persuasion 17 to haggle for high price) and purchases a quiver, a whip, and a longbow (Persuasion 20 to haggle for lower price)
You get effectively 200 gp value to add to your party loot
"Little Dragon Man, Wilhorn, Daewen. I think we should check out the Manor. Anyplace that is a public safety hazard, has rats, and is over 300 years old is sure to have something interesting. I'm also itching to try out my new hoippu."
Marcon tries to convince them to check it out (Idk if this is necessary, but I will roll Persuasion just for fun!: 17)

”Would you have these items so unceremoniously dismantled? I don’t think this is the environment to beat your swords into plowshares. At least not yet.”
You don't understand, rather you can't ubderstand. This town is large enough to house two hundred miners and yet our mines are all empty and the miners have moved deeper underground. We have only but a dozen people living here now. Our purpose is to resupply the miners when they surface.
Their locationis is our best kept secret (even i dont know its locastion, but Gundren doed) and if the town were to fall to those orcs, what we pull from the secret mine could rebuild the town 100 times over maybe 1000. The hells, more like one million times over.
But Ive said too much.
Help us in the immediate save our town if you can but nothing we do can jeprodize the mining operation.

A heated discussion breaks out with the party and the townsmen, once Harbin admits to his support of the miners above the safety of the town.
When emotions calm down, Harbin pleads that the townsfolks return to their homes and he encourages the party to continue to help, that your stay at this inn will be paid by the Town-Mayor himself (for only 4 more days) and that he gives you agency to decide as a group where to go first and who to speak to next. With his final plea being to seek out the Orcs and find their base of operation.
You are now left alone in the common room of the Stonehill Inn.

As you head back into the street, you see four armed ruffians waiting for you. All of them are humans wearing grimy red cloaks, their hands on their weapons as they watch you. One of the ruffians spits on the ground. "Time for you to move on, strangers. Give us your stuff, and be on your way."
Lanar looks at you, "More orcs? What do you mean more? I just saw these guys on the trail yesterday. Oh, you have hides and greataxes stacked up, that's their gear. Did you already take care of them? Marcon takes a sip of ale. "We ran into a group of 4 on our way hear. They fought well, but we fought better. We managed to kill them."
OOC: Starting now, I'm keeping track of Marcon's kills. It seems like something Marcon would do. He's not exactly a peace-loving monk.
