Glynt will try a History/Arcana/Religion see if he knows anything about Zotzilaha and the Shrine of Tamoachan (all are +4 so you can choose which if any are appropriate)
Ragdor looks around, should we load these two up and try to get them back to town? I'm not too crazy about leaving the tree still standing but the girl seemed to have felt some pain or discomfort as it was burning, I'm pretty sure she and the boy are connected to it somehow. Maybe it's proximity based enchantment, if we get them far enough from the tree the hold will be broken?
Xanth "We need to destroy this tree. I don't want to kill them in the process, but the sprits are telling me that the tree will cause major damage if we leave it."
Ragdor gruffs in agreement, mistress Bix do you still have that handy little bag? If so then I'd like to see about chopping a couple of the limbs off to take with us. Something on that note master Glynt showed us mention vampire stakes. Might be advantageous to have a couple of limbs to cut down into stakes.
ERKY will look at XANTH, "I agree. We need to destroy the tree. But I fear that with its destruction, it will kill both Sharwyn and Sir Braford. I likely do not have the healing power to prevent this. However, the Goblins said the red fruit has miraculous healing properties. I just don't know."
"Ragdorwill you try some spells to see if you can release the trees grip on those two? If they don't work we can try to see if the apple can cure her once it's fully ripe"
XANTHwill wake Sharwyn and Sir Braford. With Sharwyn all you get is the look of fear. With Sir Braford it is more like confusion. To say you get a wooden expression would be appropriate. It appears that they cannot speak.
Not really sure that the blessed Lady has given me anything to help with this particular type of thing but lets try this, he moves to Sharwyn and cast cure wounds healing 12 pts of damage. Sorry master Glynt, perhaps in the morning she'll give something more helpful.
(( don't have any of the spells available, and have used my 2nd level spell slots. Check through my scrolls and only have command, cure wounds (2nd level), inflict wounds (2nd level), and guiding bolt (2nd level). ))
RAGDOR ask for and receives healing powers that he gives to Sharwyn. Sharwyn looks at the Dwarf Cleric with appreciation in her glassy eyes. She tries to talk, but grabs her throat shaking her head indicating that she cannot speak.
ERKY looks at the tree and the fruit, but is unable to determine anything more. (Nature check 11) He says, “Do we set up camp here?”
"I think we need to. The Summer Solstice is 12 days away so we should wait until then and in the meantime we need to keep them, and ourselves, alive. We should keep well away from the tree, keep those two fed while we see what magic can do to reverse their condition. We shouldn't stay too close to it though so we should carefully examine the surroundings to make sure there aren't any more shrubs hiding around here nor any other hidden ways into or out of here so we know the area is restricted."
ERKY will say, "Twelve Days? Do we have that much in rations? And this fella here will stink mightily." He points to Belak's body.
(DM NOTE: There is a wood pile token now on the map. You can move it to show where you intend to make camp. Also, will you be taking watches each 24 period?)
(( OOC - Think area 54 on the map will be best for making camp for the time being. We first need to see if any of the magic can help the possessed as we need to keep trying until we are out of options (and being the Level we are at that's not likely to be too long. We will need the usual watches as we don't know for sure if we got all the Shrubs and there's no true reason to trust the Goblins and their Courtesan leader, plus we also don't know if there's any other unknown ways into here. ))
Xanth "I seem to remember a cleric that could create food can you do that Ragdor? As for the body we can move it into one of the other room or even better we could burn it."
By the Lady's blessing I can keep us in water, but the conjuring of food is outside my realm of experience. Come morning I can attempt to restore these two, hopefully making them whole again. In the meantime, I agree, we should return to some place easily defendable to rest up. He looks around, There's plenty of growth down here, plant life and what-not. Perhaps Xanth and I can forage enough to help keep us going for a little while. He stops and thinks for minute, wasn't there a lab back there? Maybe Balek left some notes on edible plants he may have growing down here.

RAGDOR will not know any additional history or have further knowledge of anything on Belak's parchment.

Thanks Ragdor! I feel much better!
When GLYNT thinks on the word Zotzilaha, he will recall some of his studies with a shiver. This is the vampire deity of the underworld.
You will not know anything about the Shrine of Tamoachan.
(The fire is out. Sharwyn and Sir Braford are restrained. What do you do?)

(( OOC I am thinking Protection from Evil and Good, Lesser Restoration, or Protection from Poison ... try them all and see, I'm not sure if we have any other Scrolls that might help too ))
"Can we wake them and see if they can tell us anything?"

"We should either burn it or stick it in the room we were resting in on occasion, there was some sort of tomb in there as I recall."
