The red fluid does not feel hot to PORTIA. And though it is not flammable like the oil in a lamp, it shimmers with a fiery effervescence as though it almost has a magical quality about it.
Ragdor suggest, Maybe bottle it up and we can have it looked at later, who knows that maybe some sort of magical water that gives those apples their special power. I'm pretty sure we'll have some undead on the other side of the that door, more skeletons if I had to guess. Meepo how to the mean ol'goblins get around without having to encounter traps and monsters like giant rats and the undead?
Portia looks in her bag, "Does anyone have anything that can be used to bottle it up. I only have my waterskin but would prefer to not waste all my water on getting an unknown substance"
Glynt will fill up the bottle and offer it to Portia or Ragdor (whoever wants it) and then watch Xanth lift Portia to the trap and will offer verbal Assistance if appropriate, otherwise I will keep an eye on the corridor to the north with my bow ready (while standing near the door to the south).
(rolled investigation by accident on the thread, but thieves tools is 2 less as not expertise so a 15 for thieves tools to disarm the trap)Portia climbs onto Xanth's shoulders, and then balances while trying to find a way to jam the trap from swinging down, without accidentally setting it off as she doesn't want to be knocked off Xanth's back. If successful, she will do a flip off from his shoulders onto the floor (23 acrobatics just for fun)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
PORTIA was able to jam the scythe-like blade keeping it from activating when dealing with this Skeletal Dragon door.
The Rogue then deftly does a backflip off of XANTH's shoulder, perfectly sticking the landing. (10)
MEEPO makes a "Whoza" sound as he watches PORTIA's acrobatics.
Suddenly GLYNT will notify the party that you have company. Three Giant Rats come out of the darkness from the north. They heard the party and smell fresh meat.
I said I would have my short bow ready watching that corridor so that's what I will be using:
Initiative (rolled in App): 14
Attack Roll: 17+4 = 21 (Ignore the unarmed strike in the log ... I accidentally bumped off the trackpad when trying to roll damage) Damage: 1+2 = 3 Brutal Points of Damage to a Giant Rat (assuming the 21 hits)
On her turn, she will run up to the nearest rat (not moving on the sheet as I don't know how you want to resolve ties so the rats might move first) and attempt to stab it twice.
First hit, 25(crit), for 13 damage. Plus 3 sneak attack damage if someone else is within melee with it .
Second attack, 9 (assumed miss).
(yes, I colour my dice rolls the same way the dice roller would, even though they are on the sheet)
A small ball of fire appears in MEEPO’s hand. He hurls it at the approaching GIANT RATS. But the flame hits the stone wall to the first one’s left.
GLYNT watching for trouble sees the GIANT RATS coming out of the darkness. He alerts his comrades and then fires an arrow sticking it into the second one.
XANTH moves up and attacks. But he misses the nimble creatures.
PORTIAswiftly moves ahead of the GIANT RATS. She nearly splits the first one into two pieces, killing it. Her stab at the second one missed.
GIANT RAT 2attacks the big barbarian ATT 18 DMG 4
GIANT RAT 3moves over the first one to get to the Halfling. ATT 15 DMG 4
RAGDORmoves up next toXANTHand swings his Warhammer at the secondGIANT RAT. But strikes the floor with sparks flying.

Unless someone is cast detect magic or doing something else Xanth moves to the closest door. " Has this door been checked?"" Then opens it.

MEEPO looks at RAGDOR and shrugs in a not really knowing kind of way, "Nasteez Goblinz keepez to their areaz, likez dragonfolkz."
XANTH moves to open the door. Suddenly a blade like from a scythe swoop down from the ceiling. ATT 19 DMG 4
Portia looks in her bag, "Does anyone have anything that can be used to bottle it up. I only have my waterskin but would prefer to not waste all my water on getting an unknown substance"
After joining more my signature got out of hand so I am now a proud member of the extended signature club!! :)
(By the way, Xanth takes 4 points of damage. That was a very difficult trap to detect for a 1st level party.)
PORTIA will notice the cleverly concealed slot in the ceiling from where the blade came from.
The skeletal dragon door remains closed without a visible way to open it.
Is Portia able to get to the ceiling to attempt to disarm the trap? Maybe with Xanth's help to lift her up?

"That was sneaky."
"Let me give you a lift Portia."
(Yes. Portia should be able to get a lift from Xanth to reach the slot in the ceiling.)
MEEPO looks at PORTIA, "waitza here." The little guy runs off while the Rogue and Barbarian try a little acrobatics.
MEEPO will return after not very long with an empty bottle with stopper, "Weez haz alz kindza junkz."

Portia gets a tie with the rats of 6 initiative.
