Mazra's Sunless Citadel Campaign

"Let's head back then before this think wakes up. We can head back down here if we want to clear out the rest of the goblins."

Glynt will reply "Absolutely, let's get this thing off our hands and get back to the task we are here for ... we still need to find those kids and they were here a few weeks back so we are definitely on their trail, if Esky is anything to go by hopefully we have a chance of rescuing them."

"Esky I can't speak for everyone, but I would like it if you continue on with us."

aye, agree on both counts, and seems like the gobos may have a lead on those kids

Glynt will quietly talk to Erky away from earshot of Meepo "We can't fight a war in two fronts.  The Goblins are harrowing the people on the roads and the twig blights are plaguing the farmlands forcing the farmers to move their cattle close to the town which isn't sustainable, the town needs us to figure out what's going on, rescue the kids and get back to the town with a solution.  The Dragon is a threat in the long term but the goblins and the blights are a problem NOW.  I think now the kobolds are going to struggle to keep the dragon, i'd say it's bigger than when they first got it and it doesn't seem delighted to see Meepo again so they may very likely have a problem on their hands, but we gave our word so we may as well keep it. After we have dealt with the other issues we can swing back and see what's happened there."

ERKY says, "OK.  I understand" to GLYNT.

XANTH begins to try and move the unconscious Dragon.  Though it is only a wyrmling, it is very heavy.  RAGDOR helps along with MEEPO, though in a far more limited way.  

However, the party makes progress dragging Calcryx over one crenellated wall after another back to the Kobold portions of the Sunless Citadel.

When the party finally gets to the Kobold area, MEEPO begins to call out, "Ticklecorn!  Ticklecorn!"

Immediately after the first Kobold in the area sees the party with Calcryx, a murmur is heard throughout.

Kobolds, young to old, begin to gather around as the party moves the limp unconscious Dragon to the hall of Yusdrayl.

Portia, although not actively helping pull the dragon, will try and enlist other kobolds to help, seeing as it is 'their' dragon

PORTIA gets other Kobolds to help move Calcryx toward the throne of Yusdrayl.

"Yusdray!  Yusdrayl! Weez haz Calcryx,"  MEEPO says.

The party brings the unconscious White Dragon wyrmling before the throne of Yusdrayl.

The Leader of the Kobold rises and inspects Calcryx. She sees that it is breathing.

The suddenly ERKY speaks up and address Yusdrayl in Draconic.

 Yusdrayl looks at ERKY and then at Calcryx.  She then shakes her head in the affirmative.

The Leader of the Kobolds then goes and grabs from behind her throne a spear with a wicked barbed tip.  She takes it to Calcryx and then the barbed tip to the Dragon's head.

"Noze!"  MEEPO calls out.

"Stand down MEEPO," Yusdrayl says.  "Look at you.  You are all covered in scars from Calcryx.  This Gnome is right.  We will not be able to keep Calcryx in a cage for much longer."  She then thrust the spear into Calcryx's skull killing the White Dragon.

The Leader of the Kobolds addresses the party, "You have rescued Calcryx from the Goblins.  It was best we took care of what needed to be done than the nasty Goblins.  Thank you!  You are a friend to us Kobolds.  And as promised, you may pick from one of the items on the altar.

The items assembled on the altar include a Quaal’s feather token (tree), three spell scrolls (mage armor, spider climb, and knock), and a small flask that contains three doses of elixir of health.  And then there is the key in the mouth above the throne.

(You can read the spoiler as Erky will soon after tell you what he said.  I will be updating the map of the Kobold area shortly.  I will repost a link in the OOC thread later.)

Yusdrayl will tell the party, any one item, or the key.

"May we please have the key. I feel like although the items are wonderful, you may make better use of them than we can, especially as you adapt to life without Calcryx."

Yusdrayl removes the large key and hands it to PORTIA.

The Leader of the Kobolds will say, “We will now prepare Calcryx for a feast. We will all partake of the White Dragon’s essence.”

(You can take a Long Rest in the area where you first met MEEPO.  ERKY would appreciate this. It will give him time to reacquaint himself with his spellbook.  It will be your choice whether you want some dragon steak or not.)

Glynt will say to Yesdrayl "I would very much like some Dragon Steak too if you will allow it", he's not one to miss out on a new culinary experience and if he picks up some Dragon Essence then all the better. He will also add "Personally I would have preferred the Elixir of Health but my compatriots really had their heart set on that key so who am I to stop them.  Take good care of Meepo, I have a lot of time for him and know he will be of great service to your Clan - you are lucky to have someone like that by your side."

Yusdrayl will look at GLYNT, "Of Course.  There will be plenty for all."  The Leader of the Kobolds instructs some of her kin and they take the body of Calcryx and prepare it for the feast.

"As to MEEPO, he may be one who takes good care of us," Yusdrayl will say.

Portia will give it a go. Why not, it is free food after all

Meats meat my pa always says, and better to eat than be eaten. Count me in. A long rest might do us all some good. Oh, the Blessed Lady has given us a couple more healings if anyone needs.
