Why do soooo many people hate this font :(
I take another step. Several, in fact. Throwing caution to the wind, I take a running leap from the window, hoping for a decent landing on the back of this big bird.
[Athletics: 17 (15{+2})]
Calanin shoots an arrow at Vildarel, but Vildarel bats it away without a problem. A cloud of fog encircles the room just as you jump. The Roc, while you were fighting, must have positioned itself right where you could get on, because you all land without a problem. "Grab on to the feathers!" the rider shouts as she whips the reins, sending the beast shooting away from Castell Mac'odier. Arrows and bolts of fire and lightning shoot after you, but the rider and Roc expertly evade. "Buckle up," she says. "We're in for a long ride."
Under you, the city shoots away and is quickly replaced by forest, which is replaced once again by plains, which seems never-ending before you see the walled city ahead, on the edge of a massive forest. The Citadel.
The rider brings the Roc down past the city, in the forest. "He's a good one," she tells you, scratching its fur. As the Roc flies away, the rider lets out a cry, but quickly regains her composure and leads you towards the Citadel- or away. The forest is so thick you can't tell, even though you landed only a few miles away from the Citadel.
Suddenly, a goblin jumps out of the trees in front of you, valiantly brandishing a sword. You hear the chatter of other goblins in the trees, and you realize that you're surrounded. The rider pulls out a spear. "Freytha, you will not pass!" the goblin says in a gravelly voice, and charges the rider as four other goblins jump out of bushes and trees.
Attack: 17 Damage: 6

Goblin 1 (valiantly brandishing a sword) initiative: 5

That will hit Freytha, and she lets out a cry of pain as the blade slices into her leg.

The goblin screams as he is covered in frost (Damage: 1) and then is smacked with a warhammer. His face crumples in the second time that you swing the warhammer and he falls to the ground, dead.
