Before our next crazy plan kicks off, does Shunn or either of his blades have any distinctive marks that could prove his identity?
INV 4.....NOPE! Nothing special buy his head
Shunn is generally very abnormal, considering the mandibles, eight eyes and bristly limbs. It takes no genius to figure out that any of them would be quite good proof.
[By the way, where is ArdneK in the marching order? Below is the old one. Currently it would be Pisgah in alone in the front.]
Pisgah is going to take Shunn's mandible and put them in his backpack, if they will fit, then begin piling up bodies around door 1 and leading back to Shunn's room. To ArdneK, "Yes, let's try door 1. But let's all go to the south door (#3) to make sure the way is clear. Then you and I come back here. You unlock the door, then run to join the others. I will open the door, let a bugbear fall in across the threshold, then scamper up the wall. Once what ever is in there comes out to eat the bodies, I can drop down and into the room then close the door and come let you guys in."
The kenku, apprehensive still, wracks his brain for any natural creature that might fit the clues thus far. The more they know of what this could be, the better prepared they can prove to be when it's inevitably unleashed.
Nikkitch: Water elementals come to mind first, of course. But Pisgah had heard a slithering sound before too, like something made of crease slipping across cobblestones. That sounds much more like an ooze of some kind, like the ones you have met before. In fact, Nikkitch recalls that the gelatinous cube from a few days back had sounded a lot like this. Gelatinous cubes were known to have two unusual properties among oozes: first, they were unable to alter their shape to fit through smaller passages. Second, they were nearly transparent, since they dissolved most matter within them, given enough time.
Nikkitch relays his suspicions to the others, thoroughly.
"If. This. Is. Another. Cube. Then. Disposal. Should. Be. Easy." He looks between the Kobold and Pisgah. "We'll. Still. Follow. Through. On. The. Plan, in. Case. I'm. Wrong."
"Great! Let's make sure the passage to the south door is clear. While we do, let's make sure all three doors are the same size. If one of them is smaller than the others, maybe it would be too small for the ooze to fit through. If so, we could just chunk in the bodies and close the door." Pisgah sets off toward the room with door #3, being careful when we approach Midna's room, in case any of her minions may have shown up. "ArdneK, can you see in the dark with a light?"
Nothing disturbs you on the way there. Door #3 is the same as the other two: constructed to be airtight and decorated with symbols of water. All are 5 feet wide.
After arriving at door 3 without incident, "Okay, so it looks like all of the doors are the same. ArdneK, do you want to come back with me and see if we can unlock door number 1? Do you guys want to wait here for ArdneK to come back?"
As soon as the door is cracked, and ArdneK gets down the hallway a bit, Pisgah will push a bugbear body into the room and then climb up the wall and 10ft along the wal down the hall toward ArdneK. He will stop to observe what happens. If there is something nasty that comes out of the room, Pisgah will run to the rest of the party to warn them to run. If nothing nasty comes out, Pisgah will head back toward the door and down the wall till he can see in the room.
ArdneK inspects the door for traps, but doesn't make out anything out of the ordinary. The door features no lock. The handle requires quite a bit of twisting to get open.
Pisgah pushes a bugbear in, the body tumbling to the ground within. The dull 'thump' is repeated by the large open space, thrown back as hollow echoes. For the first few breaths, nothing happens. Then the noise of grease sliding over cobblestones becomes louder. Whatever causes it stops short of the door. You hear the slurping, bubbling, hissing of ooze from within.
When Pisgah goes to inspect what is happening within, he first sees the floating skull of a dwarf. Beneath the skull, the body of the bugbear is being dissolved. It's blood exits like a cloud of mist, coloring a massive gelationus cube a faint rose hue, making it visible. It seems like the hollow eyesockets of the dwarf are inspecting Pisgah while the bugbears body slowly disintegrates. It seems to be floating in the center of the cube, somehow immune against the corroding effects of the ooze.
This gelatinous cube is gargantuan, taking up 20 feet in height, width and length. The dwarven skull within seems mundane.
The ooze goes about its business, caring little for what is beyond the door. Once it has finished dissolving the bugbear, it slowly backs away, sliding into the darkness once more. The room itself is a large open space, so large that Pisgah can't see the opposite side.
Pisgah is unsure about the oozes capabilities in a fight, but if he waits until it has moved around 15 feet back into the room, he is fairly sure that he can close the door without issue.

OK, door 1?
Shunn is generally very abnormal, considering the mandibles, eight eyes and bristly limbs. It takes no genius to figure out that any of them would be quite good proof.
[By the way, where is ArdneK in the marching order? Below is the old one. Currently it would be Pisgah in alone in the front.]
I'm fine with him taking Jaya's place, unless anyone wanted to swap their spot.
The kenku once more interjects. "What. Are. The. Chances. There. Are. Multiple. Creatures?"
Pisgah takes the ear horn and listens again at door 1. PER roll of 14. Does it sound like more than one creature given what I had heard before?
Shunns mandibles aren't very large, but still around the length of a human finger. They fit into Pisgahs backpack easily enough. [negligible weight]
No, it seems like it's just one sizeable creature. The sloshing is just the same as before.
The kenku, apprehensive still, wracks his brain for any natural creature that might fit the clues thus far. The more they know of what this could be, the better prepared they can prove to be when it's inevitably unleashed.
[Nature: 25]
"We'll. Still. Follow. Through. On. The. Plan, in. Case. I'm. Wrong."

"I have darkvision, I can see without light" he says.
"Good, you and I can roam out in front and the rest can stay back 30 ft or so and support from a distance if we get into trouble."
On to door #3, Bob...
So ArdneK and Pisgah back up to door 1, I unlock it and then I run back to door 3, is that still the plan?
First I'll check the door for traps, etc.
Perception: 22
If it's unlocked, I'll crack it open a bit, if it's locked...
Thieves' Tools: 25
Assuming that goes well, I'll sneak back to door 3: 14
As soon as the door is cracked, and ArdneK gets down the hallway a bit, Pisgah will push a bugbear body into the room and then climb up the wall and 10ft along the wal down the hall toward ArdneK. He will stop to observe what happens. If there is something nasty that comes out of the room, Pisgah will run to the rest of the party to warn them to run. If nothing nasty comes out, Pisgah will head back toward the door and down the wall till he can see in the room.
Do I need an investigation roll? Or Perception?
Does it appear that Pisgah can reach in and close the door without the ooze reaching him?
PER roll 19
INV roll 9
Pisgah is unsure about the oozes capabilities in a fight, but if he waits until it has moved around 15 feet back into the room, he is fairly sure that he can close the door without issue.
