[Botting Rico. If they don't respond for the next round, I'm going to assume that they're ghosting and will remove them from the campaign]
Halleth nods to Jaya, keeping his position and readying his mace.
Rico will take two shots at the abomination, and orders Steel to hold the line. Pistol: 26, damage: 11 piercing Pistol: 18, damage: 15 piercing
These both connect, puncturing flesh. One of Pisgahs arrows bounces off the taut skin, the other pierces. Cantis arrows both land as planned, sticking out of the monster like needles from a pincushion. Nikkitchs missiles unerringly find their mark.
The Abomination is still held back somewhat by Cantis vines, but moves fast enough to get in range of the front line. This triggers the attacks of everyone that readied. [Side note for readying attacks, this results in only one attack because extra attack only works on your turn. Not that it matters for Jaya this time, as one attack would have missed anyway.]
Halleths mace is poorly aimed, only scratching along the leatherlike exterior of the abomination. Jaya has more success, hit slash sending a splatter of blood across the walls and floor. Steel punches the monster with its fist. Force-empowered rend: 26, damage: 7 force
The abomination is clearly in a worse state than befor, the muscles twitching and fluids leaking out of the various punctures and wounds. But its bulk is too large to be stopped by such measures, its huge mouth looking for a target with a frenzy.
It throws itself at Jaya, trying to grab him with two huge armlike and clawed appendages. Attack: 27, damage: 23 bludgeoning Attack: 9, damage: 21 bludgeoning
The second arm misses its mark, so it doesn't get a good grip on the dragonborn.
Initiative: 1. All of you < YOUR TURN 2. Abomination, [grasping arrow, wounded]
Pisgah will toss his longbow around the corner, down the south corridor, draw his greatsword, Big Bart, and will run to stand opposite Jaya so that he is in flanking position with both Jaya and Halleth. As he does so, Pisgah shouts to them what he is doing to give a better attack option. (I ignore any loose stone or rubble as rough terrain)
Rico will continue putting shots from her pistol into the aberration.
Attack 22 damage 13
Attack 29 (nat 20 crit) damage 15
Steel will use his Force-Empowered Rend
Attack 10 damage 18
Steel will protect Jala or Halleths with his Deflect Attack, using his reaction to force disadvantage on the next attack the aberration makes that isn't directed at Steel.
The abomination, riddled with arrows and bullets, is slowly driven back by the onslaught from your frontline. Halleth contributes as well, smashing, raking across the flesh. A devastating shot from Rico and mighty slashes from Jaya contribute to ripping apart the consistency of the monster. It roars out of multiple mouths, blood and drool dripping to the ground. It's movements become sluggish, its muscles are unraveling.
As Nikkitch is preparing to cast his mighty spell, he sees how the monster collapses in a steaming pile of meat. The dropped weight causes the tunnel to vibrate, loosening small stones from the ceiling.
We're out of initiative.
You all gain 600 XP from defeating the abomination.
[According to my tracker, this brings your total XP amount to 14010, which is enough for a level up. You can immediately do this, but be aware that it does not count as a long rest.]
Pisgah begins to sheath Big Bart and walks back around the corner to retrieve the longbow he threw there when he rushed the abomination. Once he has his longbow in hand, he will step 10 feet down the south hall, take a moment to peer down the hallway for movement, and take a listen with the ear horn to try and determine if the fighting has alerted anything else to their presence.
If Pisgah notices anything seeming to come their way, he will call out a warning. Otherwise, if all seems safe, he will head north to the statue and investigate it.
Pisgah doesn't detect any disturbances from either hallway. To the east, you do see the beginnings of another mining shaft, as it disappears into the darkness.
Translating the dwarvish inscription is straightforward:
Dumathoin, keeper of all that is secret,showusthehiddenwaysthroughstoneandshadow,leadustotheveinsofpreciousmetals,andgrantustheinsighttouncoverancientlore.Inyourname,weseekthesecretsofthedeep.
This appears as a staightforward prayer to the god, whose portfolio is represented in the words. The only thing out of the ordinary are the dirty handprints on it, making parts of the text difficult, but not impossible, to read.
Pisgah places his left hand on the alter as he draws the hand-axe from his right boot. "Dumathoin, Oliver did not follow you but she did follow one who I think is your kin. As a lord of the under-mountain, take this axe of mine. May your favor find us and lead us through this mountain as we seek our way through stone and shadow, searching for the hidden lore and secrets of Hallester. Keep us from foolish paths but show us the path to test our metal as we seek."
Pisgah leaves the hand-axe on the alter and then returns to the body of the abomination.
Nikkitch scurries up to the body for one reason and one reason only. He grips a piece of attached flesh and casts Shocking Grasp. One can never be too careful.
Canti spends a little time removing and inspecting arrows from the creature. After salvaging a few, she then removes arrows from her pack to replenish her quiver.
Pisgah percieves the fleeting impression of a twinkling within the stone as he places down the offering. If anything, the axe would eventually find its purpose now. Pisgah gains Inspiration.
The flesh twitches when Nikkitch electrocutes it, but returns to rest soon after. It is properly dead. [No roll necessary]
As the others are checking the abomination, Pisgah says "I am going to see if there may be anything we need to be aware of to the east. The way south sounds quiet." then walks to the end of the east corridor, where there appears to be a fallen timber. He will listen with the ear horn and take a look to see what he can perceive.
Perception roll of 22 with the Ear Horn of Hearing
Pisgah approaches the mine shaft and listens. Someone dug into the stone for quite a distance here, but you can faintly make out that this tunnel leads into another room. Pisgah also hears noises: faint babbling. It sounds like something is merely imitating human speech, because it doesn't sound like words when you listen for longer. There are multiple sources of the gibbering. Whatever is emitting these seems to be fairly close to where the mining shaft exits.
Jaya moves up next to Pisgah, “after that abomination, that babbling doesn’t seem all that inviting. The southern passages are quiet, though that may mean worse for all we know. Your call…”
While Pisgah does not recognize/know whatever is making those sounds, his survival instincts are warning him about the effects that the gibbering might have. It sounds maddening, an assault on sanity. This, much like the monster you just fought, is not natural.
"You are most definitely correct, Jaya, those noises do not sound comforting. Quite the opposite actually, I think they sound maddening and may not be something we want to face right now. Whatever it is down that shaft it is not natural and I get the sense that it may be much like the creature we just faced. Let's go back with the others and either take the corridor to the south or head back up the mine to the goblin market and seek out Halleth's former companions. Perhaps they will be able to shed some insight on what is down here, if we can persuade Halleth to leave a head on their shoulders long enough.
When we do come back this way, we will need something to plug our ears and block out the sounds before proceeding."
Returning to the group gathered around the body of the dead abomination, Pisgah tells the party about the babbling noises and how we may want to head back up to the second level and tackle the areas past the goblin market. He asks Halleth, "Would you be willing to give us time to pose a few questions, if possible, to your fine fellows before you extract your retribution? Or, do you posses the ability to speak with them afterwards?"

Bonus action, I cast Blade ward
Nikkitch aims a Firebolt, though it seems to fly a tad wide. He curses internally.
Glancing behind the creature, say 18 feet, he suddenly shouts out to the others, who hear him shout in Jaya's commanding din:
"Warning! Fireball! Hold. It. Back!"
[Casts Firebolt, to hit: 11, dmg: 7]
