(OOC: enjoy your camping! We'll wait for you :-) )
Thinking that the mechanism to raise the portcullis was likely in the gatehouse, Sable picks the lock to gain entry.
Thieves Tools: 27 (nat 20)
With an effortless flick of the wrist, you unlock the door. Inside the upper gatehouse, there is a small bridge connecting it to the other side of the gatehouse. There is a wooden trapdoor in the floor that you would imagine pull open to reveal ladders that descend to the lower gatehouse, and from what you can see of the other side of the gatehouse, there is another trapdoor there. You do not see any sort of winch or other mechanism from where you are.

Thinking that it might be in one of the lower gatehouses, Sable opens the trap door on this side and looks for something that looks like a lifting mechanism. If she doesn't see one, she'll cross over the bridge and check the other side.
"Purhapss it would be ssimpler to tie off a rope or 2 for us to climb, then we can all ssearch together as we would want to find how to operate the gate." Ulysse is starting to get a little anxious with the young tabaxi searching alone.

There is a door with a lock leading out of the gatehouse tower. You can also see one of the arrow slits in the wall between the portcullis and the double doors.

Not seeing any lifting mechanism inside the guardhouse, Sable will go back outside and look over the wall at the entryway to see if it's there.
Regardless of if she sees the lifting mechanism or not, when she hears Ulysse from below, she changes tactics. Pulling out her rope, she finds something sturdy to tie it to, such as one of the merlons making up the battlement, after making sure that it hasn't decayed and come loose. Then she'll lower the rope for the others to climb.

Although Sable has found the mechanism for lifting the gate, she wasn't sure she was strong enough to work it. Also it might be noisy, which could alert others in the compound. So helping others climb over the wall was much more discreet.
"I agree, that when we are all over the wall we leave the gate in placce. We won't be able to get out as fasst but I'm more concerned with what could wander in if it was open to the world." Ulysse says after climbing the rope.
Boil stands up and realizes that his thumb was stuck in his ass. He pulls it out, gives it a look and says “me just standing around with my thumb with my bum, we gonna do something?“

When the rope is lowered,Erzer will climb it。
[A paper drops out of a flash of light and drifts to the ground at your feet] -(extended sig)-
Boil will take a guard position watching their backs as Erzer climbs. Looking for any danger from behind.
Perception check: 19
Ulysse will follow after Erzer makes it over.
Sable will help people up as best she can (she's small and not very strong).

You are confident that there is nothing dangerous in the vicinity outside the keep.

So, if you go out the door that Sable unlocked before, there is a nearby staircase leading down from the wall to the courtyard.

Do we all gather on the ramparts?

Are we still playing?
I'm still here but understand if folks have moved on.
I'm still here as well. If everyone is up the ramparts, it's time to climb down the other side...
Boil will stand watch at the top letting everyone go first
1st reason: “me protec”
2nd reason: “me make much clankin’s, too much noise”
