Issuing a silent prayer, Sparhawk reaches out his Marduk inspired will, hoping to not gain the all too familiar feeling g of nausea, searching for undead and other tarnished presences: divine sense)
(he will use help action on others survival, arcana, and investigation rolls. )
Sparhawk opens the journal and finds a picture of the amulet. "I suppose this is what we are looking for. I wonder if it is near by, or perhaps on the body of the wizard or even the construct itself?"
18 arcana, 27 survival, 25 perception for Tess, as Sparhawk’s mere presence seems to calm her.
Tess recognizes tbe construct as a shield guardian, and soon notices footprints in the dirt — evidence of nomadic tribes of goblins, grungs, and vegepygmies. With Cha!jil's help, these are each readily identified. It is 0lain to see that the tracks converge here, but that the disparate groups come and go in differing directions from one another.
Examining the clearing in detail, it is obvious that the jungle is not encroaching on the space, but equally clear that it is by the hands of someone keeping the trees and ferns at bay. With sharp tools, they trim back the jungle vines and creepers that would otherwise swallow the construct, and they leave offerings at its feet.
"Hum, based on your observations, they denizens here think this to be some sort of holy relic or god. How would we convince them to take him?" Sparhawk strokes the stubble on his chin. "I wonder which tribe has the amulet?"
Cha!jil shook her head, " If I had to guess I would say the Batiri, they are better organized than the froglings and smarter than the mold-folk. If we are lucky the Batiri here will have links to the The Kuro or the Sailed Clan and we will, perhaps, be able to come to an arrangement.......if we are unlucky then they will be Oogra, Children of the Thagomiser, or worse..... Biting Ants...."
As you follow the batiri tracks through the jungle, Tess sees it first, a well co sealed trip wire between two trees, hidden among the grass lightly overcrowding the path.
It seems you're getting close to something.
If you're trying ro sneak, stealth checks. If you're actively searching, perception checks. (Trip wire was found by passive)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Not much of a stealth guy wearing plate, Sparhawk pulls out a 10 foot pole. He then says fairly loudly, "We come in peace, and mean you no harm friends." He suggests Ca!jil and any others that may know some words in the guessed native tongues do the same. Sparhawk directs the group to move much slower, and keep a watchful eye for both traps and an ambush.
Using the pole, he starts poking ahead of him, to hopefully spot or disable additional traps, pits, and trip wires. (Perception: 18)
Cha!jil places herself in a prominent position.......if the Batari are a group her folk have traded with in the past then seeing her may assist.................if the Batari are of a group her folk war with........well, it was all going to go to dung eventually anyway.......

(oh with help- hold on…)

(nature check 12, if it helps).
Tess says “Now, if only we can figure out how to activate it..”
“I’m no expert but we have the journal and I think an amulet was mentioned.”
Ca!jil kept watch for danger while the others searched for the amulet.

Sparhawk smiles, “I am glad you have joined us, Ca!jil, dur Authalar of the jungle. Your wisdom may prove invaluable here.”
“Indeed- you know much of use for this place. Well, we need to see if we can find the amulet. Do you know how we can find the Batari?
You can just follow the footprints.
Do you want to do that?
yes!
(Keep our eyes out for traps, pits, nets, etc)

Perception- 7
If there's no check soon, something will spot you
(Not sure what you mean, not being stealthy, calling out, we are friendly, looking for traps and movement)
