< I thought Ten killed one of the beetles and Tess's attack killed the remaining beetle, per post #2692 . Was there more than just two? >
You are correct. Nix the beetle attack.
Gharzun swings and startles the giant who trups and falls with his massive stone club collapsing his skull as falls, killing him.instantly. the room falls silent. The giants body blocks the doorway. From.overhead, Tenebril sees the massive spawl of rough-textured appendages amod the muck and deteitus of the compost and fungus.
Tenebril flies down towards the others. "We might want to see if we can determine where he came from. I think we're going to have to move his body first though. Should we check to see if he has anything worth keeping on him? Maybe a clue on this place would be lovely right about now. Anyone else needing to take a short rest after all that chaos?"
< oh true, thanks for pointing that out. Yeah, I guess it really hasn't been that long in game. >
Tenebril will start searching the Giant's body for any other items. (Rolled with AD: 5,6) But he's not having much luck with how big the Giant is compared to him. "Anyone wanna help me search this dude and get him moved out of the way. Should we let the mushrooms do their job? If so, we should probably do the same with the beetles as well."
Sparhawk will grab the giant with his unnaturally long arms and drag him out of the way. (As a bugbear Sparhawk counts as large when determining weight he can push, drag, or lift.)
"We need to find the doors, and unlock them one by one. Then the inner chamber will be available to us. We also need to conserve our resources, as this place seems to keep spawning trouble. Everyone ok, "I'm a bit injured but I'll survive."

Make a Strength check to move the corpse (which is an object >1200lbs)
Sparhawk strains to maintain footing as he slips and slides on the blood soaked, muck-ridden floor of the waste pit that has become the giant's tomb. He manages tp exert enough force on the corpse to shift the slumped torso, creating an opening abice the body large enough for a small creature to exit.
As the giant crashes to the ground with a final, echoing thud, Gharzun lowers his shield and releases a slow breath. The tension doesn’t vanish—it simply shifts. The silence that follows battle always brings the next task into focus.
He surveys the room briefly, confirming the stillness of the beetles and the ragged breathing of his companions, then turns toward the massive corpse slumped across the exit.
“Sparhawk,” he says simply, striding over to the fallen form. “You push, I’ll lift.”
Without fanfare or complaint, Gharzun sets his shoulder beneath one of the giant’s bulkier limbs, bracing his legs and preparing to shift its weight. His armor groans faintly with the movement, but his focus is absolute.
“We clear the way. Then we move on.”
OOC to DM:
Gharzun assists Sparhawk in moving the giant’s corpse from the exit, granting Sparhawk advantage on the relevant Strength check.
As you struggle with the giant's corpse, the detritus shifts near the ppoled blood. Indeed. Ine may wonder what spawned those shuffling mounds of fungal waste you dispatched earleir.

So, what do you do?

<You just had a long rest like 5 minutes ago in-world. Not saying you can't, just pointing it out.>
So, how about that giant corpse?
< oh true, thanks for pointing that out. Yeah, I guess it really hasn't been that long in game. >

"Well, big door, big dude. Maybe he has the key? Think we can try to figure out where he came from?"

Both would have to make a con save.
