“let us check across this bridge to nowhere… just in case, but if it is a rift we are seeking perhaps it is further south…” she seeing the familiar slows her pace, though normally she would rush ahead with sparhawk
So when we moved by swimming/flying would my familiar at least be able to (fly 60 ) go 60 down each tunnel we pass and then be able to see an additional 120’ or until another bend? Then we end up on the bridge?
Did he do that? Something probably ate him at some point
“I believe we deal a powerful demonocon, or artifact that would aid us in repairing the issue.”
(head to bridge and take a pathway…to get things moving)
Sounds good. I interpret as your cross the bridge and take the dry route in the far side.
Veins of glittering quartz streak the walls of this crystal cave. Three bizarre creatures with stone-lidded eyes converse in grating tones. Each has three clawed arms, three stumpy legs, and a barrel-like body.
(If there is audible language tatsat can cast comprehend languages ritually (10 minutes) but if it’s indistinguishable from rocks falling natural noises she wouldn’t notice yet )
Diabrix can speak under common. And Terran for an hour (then out of leveled spells) if anyone can ritually cast comprehend lang that might also be option (but speed may also be of concern…)
”If the party wants I can try to talk with them. What do we want to ask? also my mage hand took the folding boat as we passed and put it in my backpack case we want to use it.”

”you guys here anything?”
it's audible. I think some player option allows all the elemental languages to be understood. Yeah it's "Primordial."
The xorn try their best to explain they are from the Elemental Plane of Earth and found their way to this cave through a planar rift that has since closed, stranding them here.
The creatures are hungry and upset at their situation. Prone to stress-eating, the xorn crave any precious gems or metals they can sense on the characters. If anyone in the party can understand the xorn, the creatures explain their dilemma and attempt to persuade the characters to give them a meal. Of course what they would really like is a means to return home. In return, the xorn offer to help locate other treasure for the characters as payment. (If we interpret treasure as magic items and art objects, this makes sense, but even if it is precious metal or gems, they're rational creatures and would happily let you have it as payment for returning them home)
I say this to our part member who is ritually casting comprehend languages. “would gold help feed their hunger? And how much. I have some on me as you they can likely sense. Can they tell us about the various creatures in these caves? Or other info that might help us?
“They want metal or gems… I’m not sure they want actual coins… though coins are made of metal”
tatsat is considerate, but confused… to the xorn, “do you prefer silver or gold?” Holding up a coin of each and pointing at them as she speaks common with a smile.
”the spell is unfortunately comprehend languages, not speak languages” she sighs to the others while shrugging

He’s invisiable.
(Ooc just let me know when as a group were ready to leverage a scout… everyone seems to actively make it to the bridge)
Anybody speak terran?
The things that ate the dwarf see magic. It's a familiar.

“Let’s try to talk, but conserve your resources.”

Hopefully the ritually casted comprehend languages will work
“Tell them there are gargoyle mouths at the entrance to these caverns. Each has a gem inside”
Sparhawk can trace a map to the mouths.
They attempt to persuade the characters to give them a meal of at least 100 gp worth of gems or metals per xorn.
“They want metal or gems… I’m not sure they want actual coins… though coins are made of metal”

“ I can suggest we lay out in piles on the ground. I can provide 200gp in gold. Anyone have another 100gp. Or maybe gems. “
(Unless they will go for the gems in the mouths at the entrance)
“Unless you accept my word on the mouths with gems, My coins have no value in this place”
Sparhawk pulls out 200 in coins.
” The spell comprehend languages allows one way communication. So likely they don’t understand anything we are saying … “
