He shouts up to Kallith, “It appears we aren’t the first to wonder here, there’s a corpse. There’s also a well, I can fill our canteens for the journey going forward”
If Dornin finds anything else noteworthy, he will communicate it to the pair upstairs.

Chandle digs a handful of bearings and starts firing them rapidly against the walls, slowly turning in a circle to cover the entire room.
Dornin pokes at the pack, it quickly disintegrates at the slightest touch, the fabric sloughing to the ground, lumps of moldy something tumbling out. A cloud of spores fills the room, hanging as dense motes in the air.
Dornin, Chandle
Constitution save versus poison damage: DC 10, 4 poison or half on a save
The spores tickle at your throat, burning in your lungs for a few moments before subsiding. Several metal objects are left from the pack, 4 pitons, a hammer head, 3 Nibs and 2 Nobles (3sp,2gp), as well as the tink of a short fat glass vial, a pale green solution still fresh inside.
Chandle resumes throwing bearings after a short coughing fit, nothing has been revealed but a couple dozen bearings are now scattered about.
Dornin
As you approach the short wall of the well a faint gentle wet squelching sound promises fresh water below. Peering over the edge you can see foot holds carved into its side. Water in the bottom, about 25-30' down can be seen but something black and tar like, a lump on the side halfway down blocks your view. A blob breaks off, abruptly racing towards your startled face.
Black goo blob: Attack: 11 Damage: 5 plus 4 acid damage
If the attack hits it sticks to your face, Dornin is suffocating and cant speak. Make a grapple check 11 ;
If you fail the grapple he is pulled into the well splashing 30 feet down but loses the suffocating and grappled conditions
If he succeeds he remains up top but is suffocating and grappled
The others are not aware yet, but you are now in Initiative (If suffocating you can not breath or speak, watch for verbal spell components)

Chandle, Roll a perception check DC 16 if it succeeds...
Throwing the bearings didn't reveal anything hidden or invisible, the room truly appears vacant, at least for the last few years. The middle of the Eastern wall however appears odd, out of place, like it was a second thought.
Chandler walks over to the center of the eastern wall, “Well now what do we have here? This part of the wall was not original, I wonder what’s hidden or trapped in there. Oh what did you find Dornin? Treasure?”
Chandle picks up her marbles, puts em back in the sack.
”You should let me have a look at that glass vial I might have an idea about its contents.”
Glassblower’s Tools
Someone who is proficient with glassblower’s tools has not only the ability to shape glass, but also specialized knowledge of the methods used to produce glass objects.
Components. The tools include a blowpipe, a small marver, blocks, and tweezers. You need a source of heat to work glass.
Arcana, History. Your knowledge of glassmaking techniques aids you when you examine glass objects, such as potion bottles or glass items found in a treasure hoard. For instance, you can study how a glass potion bottle has been changed by its contents to help determine a potion’s effects. (A potion might leave behind a residue, deform the glass, or stain it.)
Investigation. When you study an area, your knowledge can aid you if the clues include broken glass or glass objects.
Identify Weakness. With 1 minute of study, you can identify the weak points in a glass object. Any damage dealt to the object by striking a weak spot is doubled.
Octo will continue to keep an eye on the surroundings and one eye on Kallith, using her as his guide to whether he should be involved with the two members in the cellar. Not knowing any better, Octo assumes (naively) they are fine down there, and any real danger would be from above ground.

He back peddles to the entrance of the cellar and shouts up, hopefully enough for the entire group to hear "We have a problem! an ooze of some sort has a taste for face!" Dornin then fires a blast at the goo, but out of fear, its not very accurate (Attack:10 Damage:12)

A large tarry lump of black goo slides over the rim of the well, landing on the ground with a wet squelch. Dornin manages to fire a bolt of Necrotic energy into the goo, it reacts with ripples through its form.
Quickly it undulates into the room, only about 15' from both Chandle on the East side and Dornin on the South (Under the rope). Two fist size lumps begin to form in its glistening surface then launch out, still attached to the oozing substance with ever thinner stretching tendrils. One sails towards Dornin, the other flying through the air at Chandle.

Kallith, Octo
Sitting above the hole, or Octo standing in the open archway gazing at the land and sky around, hear Dornin call out in terror. Octo is 20' from the hole, Kallith is right beside it. The rope descends only 20' to the ground below. The rope is difficult to climb, far too thin for its use. difficult terrain, unless you are trained in Athletics.
Kallith almost loses her grip on the rough piece of carving, fumbling to get a solid hold. An ooze? Darn dungeons, there was always something dangerous in them, why did people keep going! The firbolg shoves her tools to the side and bends over to the entrance of the hatch.
Well, she wasn't going in there. It looked like an excellent way to get the entire group covered in ooze. Also, it was way too dark for her liking.
She shouts "Get out of there! I can pull you up!"
The firbolg grabs the rope, readying herself to pull. If someone grabs the rope, she will try to get that person out as possible. (OoC: Perhaps negating difficult terrain for one person).
Octo runs to the hole and while realizing that Kallith is calling down to evacuate, he can’t help himself. He grabs the lit torch used to start the fire for their lunch and drops it down the hole, then slides down the rope as much as climbs and moves to the ooze.
Then will attack with his horns: 16, 4 piercing.
OOC: To the bottom is 40 ft movement, so he’ll dash, then use bonus action to Goring Rush.
Dornin once again dodges out of the way of the now split ooze. Seeing Octo drop near him and charge his horns, Dornin bolts for the rope with Kallith at the top assisting an ascension. "Please get me out of here!"
(Unsure if climbing the rope counts as movement or an athletics check:10)

Chandles flask smashes against the black goo, the oil coating its surface as the glass slowly sinks into its mass. Octo drops and lowering his head slams into the quivering mass, his horns sink into the semi-liquid ooze with barely any resistance, it quivers and ripples from the impact. He almost pitches forward but corrects himself quickly.
Octo please take 4 acid damage. (Corrosive Form. A creature that touches the pudding or hits it with a melee attack while within 5 feet of it takes 4 acid damage.)
Dornin scrambles up the rope with Kallith hauling, he climbs over the lip. (Dornin still has an action that may be used if the 'dodge' was narrative)
From Above Kallith and Dornin can see Octo battling the Ooze in the room below.
The black goo ripples as it quickly flows along the ground, a pseudopod stretches outward flicking towards Chandle as the bulk rises, growing taller and thinner before it thrusts forward and cascades over Octo. As it moves into Octo's space the lit torch suddenly flares, the ooze is quickly covered in burning oil. Smoke starts to fill the room.

If it hits, it adheres to you and tries to yank you towards it: Grapple check: 17
If you succeed on the grapple the blob peels off and is pulled back into the ooze. If you fail you are pulled forward 10' and fall prone, with the blob still attached, it acid burns where ever it touch's. Its burning form causes you to take 5 Fire damage.
Engulfing form at Octo: Attack: 11 Damage: 5 plus 4 acid damage
If it hits it tries to cover and Engulf Octo: Grapple check: 18
The engulfed target is blinded, restrained, and unable to breathe, and it must succeed on a DC 14 Constitution saving throw at the start of each of the Oozes turns or take 4 Acid damage.
If Octo is Engulfed he will also take 5 Fire damage from the burning form.
Octo says, “there are just as many dangers in this land above ground as there are below ground!” He shakes his head vigorously, sending droplets of acid flying from his horns, growls and enters a rage, moving to place himself between the ooze and Chandle if possible, removing him as a target.
As Octo barrels past her and throws himself into the hole, Kallith goes "ARGHH OCTO NO!" The attempt is futile of course, but one still had to make an effort to stop ones friends from trying to kill themselves.
After Dornin has successfully been excavated, Kallith enchants three nearby stones with magic stone and waits for an opportunity to present itself where she would be able to hit the ooze.
(OOC: I'm thinking Dornin used the Disengage action on the last turn to escape the ooze)
Dornin, now at the mouth of the cellar, is happy to be out of the darkness. He thanks Kallith with a quick, panicked nod and turns back to look at the fight inside. Trying to pinpoint the goo, he will fire off an Eldritch Blast if he has a clear shot that wont hit Octo.
(if Dornin can hit the ooze without hitting octo, he will attack it Attack:11 Damage:6. If there is a chance of someone getting in the way, he will hold his action until there is a clear shot)
