Free action: woman will respond to Evangelina. She nods and says, “Yes the keep at the center of the town. Me and my husband was heading that way before we got attacked by the lizard creatures.”
The woman slumps on her spear and moves to the man with a limp, they embrace as the three kids follow suit. She looks up at Smart and says, “Thank you and your party for saving up. I don’t think we would have survived long without it.” She turns her head towards Sister Evangelina, “but yes the keep in the center of the city is where everyone would go. Governor Nighthill will be shutting the gates soon so we must hurry.”
Heiboros moves over to Smart, head down. Looking up, he says, "I apologize, madam. Sometimes, my... anger... takes over. I am a monk, so I shouldn't have these problems but... I find that chromatic dragons and their servants incite a certain rage in me that I find hard to suppress. I will try harder in the future, but I am glad we saved you," turning to the woman, "I apologize that your children had to witness the violence. I have a gift for you and your children." He will fish into his pocket and pull out five darts, and give them to the woman. "I find that it's better to stay as far away from the enemy as possible. We should move out." He begins to walk towards the keep, eyes out for anything of interest. Perception 7.
Upon being thanked by the woman, Smart mumbles something about 'can't let dragons trample over a town without doing something', but her heart isn't in it. It felt strange having to fight her own species that kept making all the wrong decisions when it came to their ancestral overlords. She tries to be angry at the kobolds for being so aggressive, for not listening to reason, for not being smart. But at the moment she just feels empty.
Giving Heiboros a tired look, the kobold says "Anger is an appropriate response towards the flying evils. That lot" - indicating the dead and unconscious kobolds - "should know better than to fight for them. But they never listen."
Smart kneels over one of the dead. She stays there, closing its eyes. A single tear falls on the small form.
Looking to the woman and her family, "Looks like we're headed the same way. We can assist you to the keep. Do you know why the dragon and kobolds attacked your town?"
As there is talk of the gates getting shut soon, Smart is looking around for help with the two unconscious kobolds. She addresses Zenfis and Balasar, as they're the strongest in the group. "Help me with these. These fools aren't going to last out here, not if the dragon comes back. I'll make sure they behave once they wake up."
OoC: The word "Please" doesn't exist in Smarts vocabulary.
Zenfis looks hesitantly at the kobold that stabbed him and that he missed with both of his attacks. Then goes to the other kobold and picks it up. "You're the smart one, Smart. Perhaps they can tell us why the dragon attacked when they wake up."
Looking to the woman and her family, "Looks like we're headed the same way. We can assist you to the keep. Do you know why the dragon and kobolds attacked your town?"
The woman shrugs and says "I'm not sure. We didn't think to ask them while we were running for our lives," The woman pauses then continues. "I'm sorry that came across wrong it has been a harrowing night. I'm just happy me and my husband were able to get out of our house alive. I am Linan Swift and this is my husband Cuth and my Children Timothy, Sara, and Rebekah. And yes we would appreciate the help getting to the keep."
"I think dragging those kobolds along is a liability, and I really doubt the dragon is gonna care to attack its minions for whatever reason. We need to get to the keep... swiftly..."

We will see how the kobold reacts to your persuasion on its turn.
Next up is Zenfis
Also inspiration for smart for playing to his race and wanting to try to save his kind
Angered from the kobold stabbing him, Zenfis takes another swing, but misses again with only an 8 to hit. Zenfis glares down at the kobold.
End turn.
Kobold is up. After seeing his fellow kobolds being slain and listening to the words of smart the Kobold looks for the nearest avenue of escape.
Action : disengage
Movement 30 feet north
(I'm not home this weekend so I can't update the map)
Next up Sister Evangelina
[[By my take all kobolds are fleeing or unconscious.]]
Evangelina turns to the woman and says, "Is there anywhere safe we can get you to?"

(before I end combat, does anyone plan on chasing after the last kobold?)
Certainly not Smart. She will just shout after the kobold.
[OoC: Thanks for the inspiration. Also Smart is female, noting that because the wrong pronouns have been used quite a bit.]
Heiboros would chase the kobold, he has thirty feet of movement so he could base himself, and he would grapple the kobold when he reached it.
[A paper drops out of a flash of light and drifts to the ground at your feet] -(extended sig)-
Sorry I’ll make sure I use the proper pronouns for her
Zenfis would let it go.
Free action: woman will respond to Evangelina. She nods and says, “Yes the keep at the center of the town. Me and my husband was heading that way before we got attacked by the lizard creatures.”
Heiborors it’s your turn
30 feet of movement to base with the kobold, and bonus action unarmed strike, (non-fatal) for a 22 to hit and 7 damage.
If the kobold is knocked out, he picks it up and starts dragging it back, grunting, "Oh no you don't, little guy."
If the kobold isn't knocked out, then a 15 athletics check to grapple it (Action).
also Heiboros only has one r in his name, not a big deal but I just got really confused yesterday.

Sorry np will spell it right for now on.
