Feeling the energy crackling in the air outside the treehouse, Macario swings at the wynling for what he hopes is the last time (21 to hit, 7 slashing, 4 necrotic from the wound at the start of its turn–a perfect 11!). As it falls to the ground, he reaches down to remove the mask from it. "What do you guys say we get out of here?"
You run out the ballroom, slamming open the doors into the lobby. You hear the crashes of the rafters as they go down in a blazing glory. The god-shaped lanterns have collapsed to the ground. They set fire to the wooden floorboards which are now engulfed in a ghastly green. The pained howling of the barghest wails louder while lightning shoots out from the portal, striking everything in sight. One in particular lets off the loudest crackle. It crashes down the rafter closest to the door. You got out just in time before that block of wood slammed down upon you. It slams the doors shut.
You now enter the lobby... which has begun melting. The wooden ceiling starts dripping off with such sudden droplets. The wood floor too has become soggy. The infernal cries from that shadow puddle over by the elevators grows louder as well too. The windstorm outside blows the static snow into the room fiercely with the barrage of snowflakes striking your skin each time. The magazines laying on the table topple over and their pages start flipping through from the wind. You have a feeling that you are being watched.

End of Round: Dead
Argos struggles to get ungrappled by the attacking wynling. The little red creature still holds Argos by the collar screaming. But it wasn't until Macario slashed down upon the wynling that it finally falls to its knees and blacks out on Argos's chest before turning to ash. "Wow."Eduardo stares at the scene in awe. He pats Macario on the shoulder and puts down his baseball bat.
Macario picks up the mask. It feels like raw power. The dark spirals swirl at your fingertips. 'Put me on.'It says, 'And know true power.'
At your comment, Eduardo clutches his bat tighter."Ugh, yes, finally."
You don't even need to put it on. Suddenly you are spinning. The world collapses into black nothingness like as if crushed by an invisible hand. 'Flimsy.' A voice echoes.
Somehow even while closing your eyes, you see the shadows waving behind you from the darkness of your eyelids. You just know that they are there. Though it was hard to tell, you can actually see the corners of their 'mouths' curl into smiles.
Then the world around you warps and tightens you feel a constriction around your body as if squeezed through a bottleneck. You feel as if being stretched from all sides. The effect is dizzying. You spin and you spin until you end up splashing. Water fills up your lungs until you come up to the surface. It is cold and refreshing.
You all ended up in the waterfall.
From here you all see the hotel in all its magnificent (real-worldy glory) just up ahead. Nobody is outside, not swimming nor sunbathing. The empty beachchairs are flipped over by the cobblestone coast.
"CAN'T SWIM!"The poor tiefling is doggypaddling. The shadow mastiff itself is just floating above the water. It narrows its eyes at the boy.

Whispers.
You can just feel eyes blink, and with that, the sensation vanishes.
Just then suddenly something appears in front of you. Its shadowy mist engulfs half the room. It looks to be almost humanoid. It is bipedal but it stands on more toes more than on its flat feet (as with many animals. It is a digitigrade). Its long clawed hands stay at its side. It is too big for this room. In fact it is clipping through the ceiling yet it doesn't affect neither it nor the ceiling as even when it lowers its head the melting ceiling doesn't even react nor does it. Its foot crushes the couch (well it would if it doesn't just phase though it as it stepped forward).
"You look to be in a bit of trouble, are we?"
It tilts its head to the left. Its horns make it even more fall down sideways.
It has no face.

Swimming over to the panicking tiefling, he at first slaps your hand away, but then, upon realizing you're helping him (and like not drown him or whatever else was running through his mind), he relents and just coughs some more water out his mouth.
"Hate water. Ugh." He shakes his head and takes your hand, "Thanks," which he then uses it as a handhold to throw his arms around the floating shadow mastiff (who clearly doesn't like this at all) and stay above water like a floatie. He sort of kicks the water with his hooves to try and get forward to the shore and as soon as he does he flops onto the cobblestone with half his body at shore and the other half still submerged in the water. "Wanna lie down."
The dog slips out from under his grasp as soon as he gets there and just shakes off the water, which then sprays on him and he puts his arm up to block it. "Hey!"

"Yes, I am." It nods. Despite not having a mouth, just teeth rimming the outside of its face, it talks. It sounds like the low howl of wind on a dreary night. "And you must be a bugbear."
Its hand reaches out. Rather than claw you or any of that malicious sort, the dark pointed tendrils just lightly pat your head. It brushes up your hair fur in the way that surely would make you look silly in school. Then it licks its thumb (or at least puts its finger up to its face) and wipes off some ash that was on your chin, hardly cleaning you up at all as you are pretty much covered in all sorts of residue from the debris. It sits down crouched with its hands on its knees.
"Do you know why you were brought here, Priest of Jormun?"

"Aye. I do." The nightwalker purrs. The ceiling continues to melt down around you. "But you must not stay here too long..." "We wanted you to see the full story." The cold blowing in from the open entrance sends a shiver down your spine. "Come with me."

Argos shook some water off of him. "Well this is a surprise..." Then the darn dog shook itself, seeing it spray on the tefling. "HAHAHAHA!" He laughed and pointed at him.
Macario feels the darkness close around him, a comforting embrace, before the feeling is replaced with cold. At the feel of the water entering his lungs, he kicks off hard from the bottom of the pool and emerges coughing a bit. He treads water for a moment to catch his breath and get his bearings, suddenly very grateful that Sesisah’s protection allows him to go without armor, then paddles smoothly over to the bank of the pool where Argos and Eduardo are with the mastiff.
“Where is everyone? I thought that we were the ones who vanished, but this place looks as empty as the prison was.” Macario notices the mastiff and a look of confusion flashes across his face. “And how is the dog here? I honestly thought he—she? would be left behind.”
[[ Insight or perception? (lol) to see if the dog is male or female or something else entirely nat 1 for a 6 oh my gods. ]]

"Yeah, sure. It's one way to make an entrance."Eduardo had said, rolling his eyes as he went swimming. Upon getting sprayed in the face by the dog and then getting not just laughed but pointed at by the elf, Eduardo pushed his arms straight up and lifted himself up from the shore surprisingly real quick, face all red. "Oh you-"He says, putting his arms straight out, marching over there but then suddenly slipping on some wet rock within the same second. "ACK!"His wet hair gets all splattered across his face when he jumps up from his fall, face even more red. The dog just comes sheepishly out from behind a lounge chair. The tiefling grabs it and holds it like rocking a baby. He lightly kicks a loose rock over at you, Argos.
It rolls to your feet.
"Hm?" Eduardo turns over to Macario. "I dunno. Why?" He narrows his eyes at you. "Are they not supposed to come?" He pets the shadow mastiff from the head to the end of its back.
You can't even tell anything about the dog, including what gender the dog is. It also seems to be not even fully corporeal as sometimes when Eduardo pets it his hand goes right through it, which slightly freaks him out each time.
The waterfall and surrounding entrance is in fact eerily empty.
((ahaha I actually didn't have a gender for the dog honestly could be whatever you choose right now it's just dog))

You walk onto the nightwalker's hand. It feels soft and squishy almost like a stuff animal. Yet some sludge gets onto your feet. "Ready?" The nightwalker asks you. Before you even have a chance to respond it encloses its hand onto you and with that you are gone-
Gone into another void. You wake up to see a black abyss in front of you. It is cold and you can even see your breath out in front of you. It feels like the iciest winter. Out in the distance you see light, framing a rectangular doorway. It pulses.
"Are you- are you there?"It asks. It is such soft voice almost at a whisper. "I- I can't see you." They sound to be on the verge of crying. "Where are you?"

“I just thought being from that realm it might have been tied there. Destroying that shadowy pile of masks. I think whatever escaped that prison might be here. At the hotel.”

"Guess it runs in the family."Eduardo mutters quietly. He looks down to open and close his right hand while still holding onto the dog. "Why?" He keeps turning back to Macario's question. He narrows his eyes a little bit, but when you dismiss it, he loosens his shoulders a bit. "Oh."
"Guess you should go find it then..." He strokes the shadow dog's fur. He sighs. "Thanks, but I- I need to go." He starts on walking towards the hotel, but then stops when Argos nudges Macario and says something in return.
The tiefling just stares up at the waterfall as its waters descend downward into the pool they just swarm out from. "Yes... finally." Then he swiftly slams through the doors at the entrance of the lobby.
