(Dacyne Perception: 20)

"Good to meet you Ange," the elf replies.  But then as she starts to ask about family, her smile drops, though she tries to hide it. She simple says, "Nothing like the size of your family! I don't have any children. I can hardly imagine that many children!" 

"Well, yes, it is odd...   It certainly would have been easier to have a guide. However, the messenger himself urged us to wait to morning to leave since it wasn't a good idea to be in the wood at night. But then he himself left."  She then pauses, thinking a moment for the name he'd used. "The Svalich Woods he said. I'd presume that's where we're at?"

You both get the feeling that you are being followed, (you as in the entire caravan.) and Daycne can get some glimpses every now and again of a humanoid slipping around in the trees.

I see. I hadn't realised that he sent a messenger. And yes, these are the svalich woods.

Dacyne glances over at Fiselius. "Have you noticed that humanoid out in the forest? It seems to be following the caravan." She then returns her attention to Ange. "Do you know how far it is we are traveling? Are we getting close to..."  She pauses a moment, trying to recall where it was they were going. "Well, wherever Kolyan Indirovich is located." 

"Haven't seen them but I've felt like someone was tracking us." says Fiselius. He pops Mr. Owl out of the pocket dimension. "Go take a look out there would you?"

Perception: 5

 Ange had said she didn't know who he was earlier.
Can I have a passive perception check, and insight check, and a stealth check for Genna?
And also a stealth for Mr. Owl.
I don't really know where Stanimar is taking us, so I can't say. However, I can say that barovia is certainly not the largest land around, and it doesn't take that lng to get from one place to another.

Owl Stealth: 23

Dacyne makes a face as the woman doesn't know how long the journey will take. "Guess we'll see what happens," she says, a worried expression coming to her face. "So, did your owl see anything?" she asks Fiselius. 

"Haven't seen anything yet, but not everything comes out at once all the time." says Fiselius in reply to Dacyne. "Just hope he stays safe out there himself."

I don't remember why I did the insight and perception, but the owl can not make out anything but a humanoid form running through the forest.
Whisker, it is completely up to you as to why Zania is following them btw.

I think the easy answer is that Zania has reason (unfounded or otherwise) to be suspicious of the Vistrani whom the party have found themselves joining forces with and has been trying to keep tabs on them for a while. Perhaps she has reason to suspect that they have a hag hidden in their midst, for one reason or another.

"Oh wait, Dacyne!" says Fiselius with a mix of excitement and dread, "He sees something now. A humanoid of some sort. Running through the forest. Maybe a little tall?" He turns to Ange, "Did you have anyone that needed to catch up with you?"

Dacyne looks a bit startled at Fiselius' sudden excitement. "Really? What does he see?"  She starts to peer back out of the wagon while she waits to hear Ange's response. 

Ange looks surprised, confused, and maybe a little but worried.
No, we would never leave without everyone in the wagons.

Dacyne narrows her eyes and looks a bit worried as she see Ange reacting that way. "Are there bandits in this area? There'd have to be more than one if they're bold enough to attack this big of a group though." 

"I like a brave heart." says Fiselius as Dacyne mentions the boldness. "Considering the numbers, what say you we talk to this follower head-on? Might put all this wondering to rest."

Bandits? no, not really. It's just weird to have a stranger following us. As Stanimar said, Strangers are extremely rare here. but that one would be following us is even rarer.

Dacyne listens to Fiselius and then to Ange's response. "Should we have Stanimar stop so we can investigate?"  Then addressing Fiselius more directly. "Or do you suppose we just jump out and see if we can find whoever it is?"  Although she makes the suggestion, she sounds a little bit reluctant. 

"These people offered food and hospitality." says Fiselius, "I think it's only right we repay the favor. We'll just have to be careful. And if things turn out to be over our head, have a plan to get aid."
